    The "cap" for the right side of the vertical drapes is missing.

    Do not order window treatments with this business. We used them through Home Depot and are still awaiting completion of the installation, 4 months later. All we need are the correct sized rings to complete the installation of our curtains and a cap for our vertical blinds to complete this project, the curtains are sitting in my closet. I have called, emailed, filed a comlaint with BBB and reached out to Home Depot with no response. Do not use this business!

    DO NOT WORK WITH CUSTOM DECORATORS. Please - listen to me. I wish I had read these reviews prior to making my purchase. This has been the absolute WORST customer service experience, from the designer to the staff at Custom Decorators. My designer sold me blinds that she told me would block light and make my kids room dark and they just don't -- I have a 4 year old and 2 year old who are used to blackout and these do NOT do that. She also left out important information that should have been mentioned to me, noted below. She seemed nice, so I hope I was misled due to her inexperience (do a better job training your designers!!) rather than her wanting the commission off of these high priced blinds (which is what I think was likely the case). In the photos below you will see how poorly these blinds that were supposed to be blackout are. Besides the fact that it barely darkens the room, even at night light comes in - one night when there was a police car parked outside (we are located on the 4th floor of our building) his room lit up with the blinds completely closed - he woke up from this!! Not to mention the difficulty of getting both my kids down to sleep, especially last month when the sun was setting later. The next example is my bedroom where the sun sneaks through the fully closed blinds while I sit at my desk and work - they just don't close all the way and for hours I have sun in my eyes. She also knew I had window AC units and did not advise me that I would not be able to have these blinds in the open filtered position on those windows since I cannot extend the blinds down all the way - the only position to open them like that. I either have to extend it down past the AC and then scrunch it up, wrinkling the blinds, to sit on top of the AC unit, where it eventually slips and falls down to be the example below. On top of all of this, my designer didn't tell me there was a price promotion going on till I was at a Broadway show with my mother, saying I needed to sign and pay that day to get the discount (hundreds of dollars), so I rushed to put it in. THEN she didn't place the order for two of my son's blinds so he has had garbage bags on two of his windows since AUGUST 6. They would not price match my discounted price and wanted me to pay an ADDITIONAL $300+ per blind. They would not budge on this and I eventually gave up because I wasn't going to fight to pay for expensive blinds when they were not what I needed, thanks to my unreliable designer. During all of this my designer completely stopped communicating with me, leaving many emails unanswered. Her name is KAT - do not work with her. I am moving on to work with someone else to replace the blinds I got so my kids actually have blinds that work. I have been offered $200 for THOUSANDS of dollars worth of blinds, and when I went back to ask for more Custom Decorators stopped answering me too. I will post this review on every review sight I am able to, and will continue to spread word of how awful this company is to work with. They don't care about you since you will likely not be a return customer since blinds last for so long. My Project Number is P4432676 with this horrible company. It is now Sept 27 and I have had to wait WEEKS between getting responses from these people. Please take my advice - DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. Will be happy to provide an update here should they actually get back to me and do their best to remedy the situation.

    I should have looked up this company's reviews before deciding to work with them.... I don't even know where to start with this blinds company. The designers are incompetent scam artists, the customer service is beyond disrespectful and the installers are not experienced or trained. This project has cost me over $4,000 and over a year of my time that I will NEVER get back. The designer Corrine Crane is a scammer. She showed us samples, did HORRIBLE incorrect measurements and once she received the credit card numbers for payment she told us she has no further responsibility for the job. When we contacted her in the beginning with issues she blocked us. CDI says the designers should be following up with our purchase to ensure we are satisfied. WE WERE NOT SATISFIED! We waited 10 months for this blinds. Customer service has used every excuse in the book installers are on vacation, installers have insurance issues, Installers have covid. Finally, 10 months later blinds were delivered and installed, measurements completely off. The designer Corrine Crane, has no experience, is uneducated, and only cared about receiving her check for commission. She could care less about her poor measurements and basically told us to screw off. Never have I seen so much disrespect from a company in my entire life, I am questioning how they are still in business. Once the poorly measured blinds were installed I notice they were short on both sides ranging from 2-3 inches of space. The installers that put them in even admitted these blinds were not measured correctly and informed CDI. CDI told us they were coming back to remeasure... that was 2 months ago and every time we call they use the excuse "all our managers are busy", "can you call back tomorrow?". They have a refund department but claim I can't speak to them until I speak to a manager which you can't get. This is when I realized I've been robbed. CDI does not want to take responsibility for this poor job and thinks they can keep telling me to "wait another day" until eventually, I forget about it. NOT HAPPENING. This situation has gotten to the point where I have no choice to contact the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs and will need to file a dispute over the purchase with my credit card issuer. DO NOT USE THIS BLINDS COMPANY!!! To CDI: If you see this review and would like to discus it, the order is placed under Vincent Vescova, you may contact the number on file.

    Terrible service. I have been waiting for 5 days to just get a telephone apt to discuss what I want. This is a complete joke!

The process was so painless resulting in rich, warm and inviting wall colors. Jennifer also drew up a plan to create an office space for me. It's so special, like my private clubhouse. Plus, she's creating a warm and unique living area for us by using some of our old furniture and adding new furniture, carpet, and window coverings. Jennifer has a positive attitude that's contagious. Communication is timely. I love her honesty. She has a talent for blending items that were my grandmother's with more contemporary pieces and visa versa by finding antiques that add style and warmth to new purchases. Allison and her team were very communicative and easy to work with, finding times that fit with our busy schedule, and keeping us up to date on all the logistics that we needed to know about while behind the scenes doing all the tedious things we can't manage ourselves. They found us amazing furniture but also came in and used our existing extensive art collection to make our house a stunning show piece that I keep walking through, feeling like I'm on a design show.
