This is a record store / gift store / studio owned by Jack White of the White Stripes and others…read more They offer tours of the studio, but they don't let you take your phone or camera with you during the studio tour. So I don't have any photos of the studio and offices, which is a bummer because there are so many neat things to see. I definitely recommend doing the tour, though! Our tour guide was Ben Blackwell, who is an executive at Third Man, a musician, and oh, Jack White's cousin! He's a cool cat and told us lots of stories about the people who have recorded at Third Man, and the things that have gone down. If you have a chance to get Ben as your tour guide, you will be in for a treat. The tour itself was a little under an hour. The Third Man shop is where you CAN take photos, and it's a good thing because there are also lots of interesting things to see in the shop, like White Stripes paraphernalia, a record listening booth, a Wax-o-Matic machine where you can make your own red wax guitar figurine, an area to play guitars, almost every record you can imagine on the Third Man record label, Maggot Brain magazine (which is published by Third Man Records), clothing, posters and lots more. If you're a White Stripes, Raconteurs or Jack White fan, you definitely need to stop in. It's so neat to be in a studio where all kinds of musical magic happens! And even if you're not, you might become a fan just by visiting.

There were historical plaques and info about records and other items on walls. The staff was friendly.

They also had some great drinks with a mixologist that had some very smart suggestions. The restaurant features a caffeinless coffee drink that is highlighted in a few drinks, and its made of sweet potato, how smart! Definitely a must visit in Nashville!

The level of innovation here is staggering., likely the reason for their Michelin star in 2025. The meal is a parade of "how did they even do this?" moments. The menu is exceptionally exotic, featuring ingredients you simply don't see elsewhere. Some of the most memorable highlights for us included: * The Kombucha Scoby Aguachile, which was a masterclass in texture and fermentation. * The Dahlia Root with Peach Pit & Dill--an incredibly creative use of botanical elements. * The Celeriac with Radishes and Morels, which tasted like the absolute best version of the earth. Beyond the food, the cocktails were exceptional. Every dish is served as a thoughtful small plate, allowing you to focus entirely on the flavors before the team seamlessly swaps your settings for the next surprise. What really set the night apart, though, was the exceptional customer service. The staff was so attentive; several people went out of their way to wish Nandy a happy birthday, and they even brought out a special candled dessert to celebrate. Nandy thoroughly enjoyed every single item served. If you are looking for an experience that is truly unmatched in the city, this is it. It's not just dinner; it's a front-row seat to culinary theater.

Set inside a historic building that somehow pulls off industrial cool meets laid-back hangout, this place isn't just a restaurant--it's a whole vibe. You've got open space, energy flowing, and yeah... bowling lanes casually sitting there like "why not make dinner competitive?" Now let's get into the food--because this menu came to play: Flash fried broccoli with sunflower seed aioli - crunchy, nutty, and low-key addictive... the kind of dish that makes you forget you're eating vegetables. Cabrini chili fried cauliflower - bold heat, crispy edges, and not playing it safe at all. Braised short rib - melt-in-your-mouth, rich, and exactly what you hope for when you order it. Hot honey fried chicken with greens - sweet heat done right, crispy outside, juicy inside... no notes. And shoutout to Taylor, who absolutely carried the experience. All smiles, dialed in on the menu, and knew exactly how to guide us through the hits. Service like that just makes everything taste better.

The restaurant wasn't even full, yet we weren't seated until 11:55. The first hostess looked completely lost, and the second hostess was a guy who appeared to be one untied shoelace away from becoming the brunch special. Once seated, things somehow accelerated directly into slow motion. We sat down at 11:55 and didn't actually get food until 1:15. At one point, the manager finally came over after another customer had already unloaded on him... and then proceeded to leave all of our empty bottles and plates from the first round of drinks sitting on the table like decorative centerpieces. By the time the food arrived, we genuinely weren't sure if we were celebrating our 17th anniversary or waiting for the 18th. The crazy part? The food was actually really good. Which almost makes the experience more confusing. Like watching a Michelin chef run a restaurant inside a DMV.
