Last year, I had contracted with Payne's Body shop to have a car repaired which was damaged in a parking lot by one of my kids. I agreed to pay all charges to repair the car which totaled about $1350. The owner of the car said it was taking too long to get the car repaired, so she was going to have it fixed elsewhere. I agreed to pay her directly and get reimbursed by Payne's. Even though the owner of Payne's promised to send me my money back, it has been over a year and I have not received my money back. I have tried countless time to contact the owner of Payne's but he never returns my calls and is always "out of the office". I contacted the BBB to see if they can help. They just notified me that he is not responding to them either. So now I will have to pursue legals means to get my money back. Beware of doing business with Payne's, and if you do, request the work be done BEFORE you pay. As a business owner, I cannot imagine attempting to treat a potential customer in this way. I guess he already spent my money!!!
