From start to finish this company was professional, on time, on budget, and installed correctly. The workspace was cleaned up when they left and the employees were very nice. We had a custom build for our dogs which turned out exactly the way we wanted it and the company took the time to modify the build to have the doors open straight up instead of hinged so they would not bump into the walls of the room as well as find a material they used for the screens that would hold up to our dogs scratching and jumping at it. I would highly recommend and will be using them again in the future. read more

The price was less than quote received from the Container Store for basic wire closets. I added a built in cabinet in my office and it is exactly what I wanted. You can do much better than this company. No response to on-line inquiry so called only to have them tell me everything they could not do but if I knew what I wanted in the closet they could create it. Isn't that the whole point of closet design..for someone else to design it and educate you about how it could work best for your lifestyle. The call itself was unprofessional and the person sounded like they could not be bothered unless I wanted to do all the upfront work -send them all the dimensions and tell them everything I wanted. Don't waste your time with this company there are quite a few other companies I have since talked to that had instant and helpful responses who were willing to come to my house and sit down with me to work on the design. I can't say enough about the quality and service that I've received from this closet company. I have had six closets installed over the past few years, most recently several weeks ago. All of the closets have been unique in size and configuration. Dawn does an excellent job designing a closet that will be the most practical and efficient use of any type of space. From design to installation, this company was nothing short of exceptional - on time, on budget and the finished closets are beautiful and extremely functional. DO you ever start your day with UGH.... where's that shirt? Or I can't find one shoe? You know it's clean but where did it get stashed? Shoved into a drawer... fallen off a hanger and gone forever? Hmm... maybe everyone isn't as messy as I. You know too much! I could never find my stuff when I wanted it. We had this completely underutilized space and we just didn't know what to do. We had spent a lot of time trying to plan it ourselves, going to home improvement stores pricing the DIY lumber Vs. The prefab ones. Basically, I just didn't know what to do with the space other than hang an extra rod and call it a day. Then, while driving down 95 I saw the Custom Closet Geeks billboard. The sign said I wouldn't believe what I can afford and offered a free in-home design. Free - sign me up! They came to my house and made a professional plan and suggestions after seeing what I needed and what I liked. THEY WERE RIGHT! I couldn't believe the price. It was the same on Lowes but was custom made to the exact measurements of my space, using the professional services of someone who organizes for a living. IT'S FANTASTIC! The service from start to finish was top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone needing some help optimizing space. When my mom downsized to a condo they were called right away. They do closets, office, pantries, kids rooms - AMAZING! It's so much easier to get ready in the morning. They really have organized my world. read more

I really love this company. I've used them twice, as they came out next day to design/price out - helpful in both situations as we had no place to hang anything. Wendy is friendly, smart and quick. Her price was much better than her competitor, who coukd not come out till the following week. She laid out a design and the next week John showed up promptly to install 4 closets. The reviews on YELP about Custom Closet Geek were so good I was compelled to call to set-up an appointment. I have two closets (one which is a very odd size). The first comment, after I described the dimensions of the closet, the employee Dawn did not think the closet would not be over $1,000 and the minimum is $1,000. I was trying to explain measurements (which is difficult to do over the phone) she kept asking questions and making comments, that I got the impression she did not want to make an appointment. I finally convinced her to make an appointment, and she responded she would come out next week when in the area. So, all the comments about coming out next day-I don't know why my situation would be different? If Wendy is the owner this person did not represent the company well. I became to frustrated I told her a competitor quoted a system for the closet at a price of $1,850.00. I felt and commented to Dawn it sounds as if you don't want my business? Then she started accusing me of yelling at her. Of course, the conversation went downhill from there to the degree that i ended hanging up the phone. Very disappointed that I could not get an appointment especially after reading such stellar reviews. read more

Great company, awesome closet solutions!! Wendy was a pleasure to work with. She was quick to come up with a plan w/options and her prices were so much more reasonable than the competitors out there. I was initially thinking of doing a DIY closet using the big store's closet systems, but those add up... you get the starter kit and then start adding on the shelves and before you know it, the price isn't as cost effective anymore - plus! you have to assemble it yourself! The quality of those cabinets do not match what Closet Geeks provide and it's all installed so quickly! You just come home from work to your new, beautiful closet!! Great job guys!! She is professional, creative and anxious to satisfy the customer. Before contacting Closet Geeks we had another proposal that was one third more expensive and two thirds less creative. The manager , lacks major customer skills. She is arrogant and never takes any responsibility for any issues that arise from the order to installation of her products. I have been extremely displease with the quality of the product as it is no better than big box quality at a premium price. The installs were delayed, when product arrived, wrong items were sent. It took over 3 weeks to get a simple install done. The manager handled the problem extremely poor as she placed the blame on everyone , but herself. She does not handle criticism well as she will snap at you. The techs performing the install, they were all really outstanding techs, very professional, and friendly, unlike their upper management. I don't recommend this business based on the way I was treated. California Closets stand above this business. read more

Appointment blown off! Designer never showed. Closet probably too small to make the big bucks. Frustrated. Was so excited now just disappointed. Sad thing for them is that I also will have a laundry area and mud room to customize in near future. read more
