They have fixed my families bikes, including my son's custom Ti bike adding a Rohloff bike shifting system, which carries a lifetime warranty. I have purchased several bikes from Ryan and Tim at the downtown store and they always take care of any needs I have for service or repair. My favorite purchase has been the Cervelo Aspero gravel bike, which I rode with my son from Seattle to Chicago two summers ago. None better than Pedal to set up the right bike for a 2,000 mile ride!!

I took it to West MI Bike, and they were incredibly helpful and kind. Turns out, along with the tires being underinflated, it needed a few other screws and nuts tightened. While on vacation I was trying to ride some of the great roads in the area but, alas, my bike had…read moreother plans. After two flats in the same tire in two days I decided enough was enough and took my bike to Road & Road Cycle. My husband had changed the tube in my back tire but neither of us are experts so we wondered if the reason it had gone flat was because of our ineptitude. Off to the experts to have them take a look! We did have to wait several minutes upon entering the shop and at first no one acknowledged us which I thought was a bit odd. But, it was clear that all of their staff was busy helping people who got there before us. Finally, though, Tim (I believe) had me bring my bike to the back and he started working on it. He asked good questions and gave us some great feedback on our attempt at replacing the tube ourselves. In fact, we learned a ton about how to replace a tube! Tim was super nice about it and never made us feel stupid. Turns out, though, that the problem was that I had glass embedded in my tire that we didn't find when we changed it ourselves. Tim spent a good amount of time making sure he got me a replacement tire that would fit my bike and my needs and I was finally able to complete my bike ride the next day. My husband is a huge car/engineering/gadget nerd who loves to find out how things work. He's still raving about this shop weeks later. Also, my mom and I rented bikes from them several years ago and they were just as great then. You can't find a crew that loves bikes more. They were so helpful to explain each piece of the bike and how it could be customized. I went from a department store bike to a supreme ride and they didn't talk down to me or make fun of my lack of knowledge. Spencer did a great job getting me on a bike that could support the daily punishment I'd submit it to (I'm a big guy!). He was very kind and knowledgeable, and did his best to reassure me that there was a bike out there for me. He took his time and listened to my concerns and allowed me to try the bike out before I purchased it. He also made any necessary adjustments to the bike, to make sure it fit me and that it was ready to hit the road. Spencer could have easily taken advantage of my naiveté, but he got me on a bike that fit my budget. 6 months later, I'm very happy with the bike ( a Specialized Sirrus) and with the great customer service I got. My wife is currently pregnant, but as soon as we can, were going back to the Pumpkinvine to get her a bike, too. Even though I live in South Bend, IN, it was worth the drive to Middlebury.
