HEAR MY STORY. I…read moreworked at LCTF from September of 2017 to April of 2018; not a long time but it was all I could take and here is why. The business doesn't care for safety at all: we were using chainsaws, rarely without any ear or eye protection (unless we brought our own), and certainly without any proper training. And the same goes for the Bobcat skid steer, and John Deere tractor that would certainly fail any regulation test. I spent nearly 2 weeks in the winter hand washing the owners home windows, often times suspended 25+ feet in the air with no harness or any safety equipment what so ever. Some of my fellow coworkers were often on top of certain structures without equipment as well. They're highly illegal; During the season for landscaping and for the Christmas trees, employees are often work 50-60+ hours a week without any overtime pay. I, personally, had a two week period where I clocked in 120.5 hours (with no overtime pay). Their pay stubs are partially handwritten with the lower portion of the pay stub stating "no state or federal taxes withheld" which I didn't pay much attention to until the taxes season came around in which my tax return went from me receiving $1000+ from a previous job, to then owing the government money due to the company not doing the taxes. I cannot recall filling out a W-4 nor an 1-9 upon hiring. Their work is just plain awful; Go see for yourself, their "nursery" is completely unorganized and overrun by weeds and unwanted plants. And with the money that the company makes going into the owners own wallets rather than the employees and the business, their landscaping is beyond elementary and the Christmas trees are poorly kept and trimmed. In all, I am a fan of having a tree farm around for the fun of the Christmas season, but this place needs to be sold to someone who cares more about the company, workers, and customers, or the business should be shutdown. If you are considering applying for work, which is common for high school and college kids, please, for your sake, find somewhere else. (I posted this on google as well but I need to post it anywhere I can to prevent any injury to upcoming workers and customers. Please, share this.)

Love this place. Always friendly staff and enough trees to go around for the entire Chippewa…read morevalley! They got great prices!

We've had our couch and loveseat for about 10 years and we've been very happy with it. It's…read morestarting to show the wear and tear more now but that's to be expected.

I purchased my sofa online in August 2021. The day it arrived, I was out of town. The very next…read moreday, the Caldor Fire broke out & I was evacuated for 18-days. When I returned, I sat on the couch & the reclining mechanism didn't work. I called Ashley & asked them to replace it with a new couch. Nope, they're sending a guy out to fix it. 2 months later, maybe? Can't remember exactly. Repairman comes out & confirms it's broken. He needs to order a part. 3-4 months go by. No part. I call (and Good God, don't even try to call - you'll be hold for ages) - the part was not ordered. Ashley orders it, it comes in, and here I am waiting for a repairman another month. He comes in, fixes it, I also show him that by now the UBS port doesn't work either. Also, the mechanics for the recliner push up into the sofa making it extraordinarily uncomfortable. I tell the repair guy this. He grabs packing materials from the box the part came in & shoved it into the seat - you cannot make this stuff up. Several weeks go by, the couch breaks again. Ashley is ordering me a replacement of the same couch. It is now May. They have rescheduled the delivery & are now delivering on the very day I am moving to a new house. I do not want this couch - so much so, that I'll be loading it up & dropping it on the doorstep of Ashley in Folsom. I literally do not care what they do with it. I am self-employed. My last day off was in August. I worked very hard to save that $1200 for a new couch and I'm out $1200 over this debacle. You know what? It's been 10-months since I started this process & I am fresh out of fucks to give. Keep my money. Ashley is like a bad boyfriend - cut him loose & don't look back. I am also filing complaints with the BBB, reviewing on Google & filing a suit in Small Claims. This company is the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. Worse than Verizon, Comcast & a car dealership. It's literally that bad.
