HEAR MY STORY. I…read moreworked at LCTF from September of 2017 to April of 2018; not a long time but it was all I could take and here is why. The business doesn't care for safety at all: we were using chainsaws, rarely without any ear or eye protection (unless we brought our own), and certainly without any proper training. And the same goes for the Bobcat skid steer, and John Deere tractor that would certainly fail any regulation test. I spent nearly 2 weeks in the winter hand washing the owners home windows, often times suspended 25+ feet in the air with no harness or any safety equipment what so ever. Some of my fellow coworkers were often on top of certain structures without equipment as well. They're highly illegal; During the season for landscaping and for the Christmas trees, employees are often work 50-60+ hours a week without any overtime pay. I, personally, had a two week period where I clocked in 120.5 hours (with no overtime pay). Their pay stubs are partially handwritten with the lower portion of the pay stub stating "no state or federal taxes withheld" which I didn't pay much attention to until the taxes season came around in which my tax return went from me receiving $1000+ from a previous job, to then owing the government money due to the company not doing the taxes. I cannot recall filling out a W-4 nor an 1-9 upon hiring. Their work is just plain awful; Go see for yourself, their "nursery" is completely unorganized and overrun by weeds and unwanted plants. And with the money that the company makes going into the owners own wallets rather than the employees and the business, their landscaping is beyond elementary and the Christmas trees are poorly kept and trimmed. In all, I am a fan of having a tree farm around for the fun of the Christmas season, but this place needs to be sold to someone who cares more about the company, workers, and customers, or the business should be shutdown. If you are considering applying for work, which is common for high school and college kids, please, for your sake, find somewhere else. (I posted this on google as well but I need to post it anywhere I can to prevent any injury to upcoming workers and customers. Please, share this.)

My boss's father recently passed away. I had know his father for several years. He was a kind and good man, and i was saddened by his passing. As i knew him and as I felt for my boss going through this terrible ordeal, i looked online for flower shops near the funeral home. I went through all the websites of the local flower shops, and decided to place an order at May's. The flower arrangements looked to be the nicest and I decided to place the order. I had delivered the Premium Wondrous Life Bouquet to be delivered on the day of the viewing. As I was not able to attend as I live in another state, I hoped the flowers would be beautiful. The day after the funeral, my boss thanked me for the flowers. He said they were very beautiful. That they were so nice, it was at the front near his dad. I was happy to hear that. Although I never saw the flowers myself, from what i was told May's did a fantastic job. I would, therefore, recommend their services if you need an arrangement of flowers in the area.

I chose Eevy Ivy Over for funeral flowers for a dear friend based on their great reviews. I wish…read moremy experience lived up to that. Living out of state, I called to place the order, saying I liked the look of the "Eevy Ivy Special"and "Colorful Blooms" style arrangements on the website, and I'd like something along those lines that I left up to them, for $100 plus delivery. The website arrangements were $55 and $75, so I expected my arrangement to be similar but a little bigger and better. I said colorful was fine, as my friend was such a joyous person. I expected a professional-looking arrangement. What was delivered was a shadow of the website arrangements, with some color in the center and a ton of spindly greens and queen anne's lace surrounding it that gave vibes of something picked off the side of the road. The photo I have was sent by the delivery driver at my request. I posted it here. A friend who attended the funeral and saw the arrangement in life was also unimpressed, saying it definitely didn't look like $100. I actually wondered if maybe my order was confused somehow since I never received a receipt, bill, or anything, but my credit card statement told the story: They did bill me for a $100 arrangement plus delivery. I called the store owner Becky to discuss it. She was very nice, as were all the employees I spoke with from there. She expressed that the arrangement was large and beautiful, and said two customers in shop commented as much. Perhaps it was large, but with what? The expansive "weedy" look was nothing like the website arrangements I asked for. Becky said it was nowhere in the notes that I referenced them, and that the only notes were, "colorful" and, oddly enough, "sticks," which was definitely a surprise. I actually spend considerable time giving the order, expressing how important it was to me that the flowers were beautiful. Becky said the driver took a bad photo of the arrangement, that didn't showcase its true beauty. In all fairness that may be a factor, but not enough to justify what I got. Just no. She did then say they might have missed the mark on this one, and to be fair, asked how to make it right, offering to send a bouquet to someone else as compensation. I appreciate the offer, but this was for a funeral... a special event that I was unable to attend, and that can't be done over. I regret choosing them for the order.

John Thomas produces a wide range of beautiful, functional pottery in various colors and textures. The pottery is very high quality, as are the works of the guest artists featured in the gallery. This is, hands down, my favorite place to shop for gifts for all occasions: weddings, housewarming, graduation, bridal showers, baby showers, holidays, etc. The wonderful space includes a kitchen and bathroom and is also available to rent for events, meetings, and parties.
