The person I came with informed her we already know because we've been in before.... The way she said it and how she handled the situation after the fact was very rude and unprofessional. After we walked alway we proceeded to get on the stair master and treadmill. I had noticed that we had been stared at and pointed at. Then who I imagine to be a friend of the girl on the counter walks in and they talked about and stared at the person I came with, then more people gathered around the front talking about the situation. The schedule is easy to find on MindBody as well as posted in the studio. Studio fees are reasonable. The studio is clean and well lit and has all of the equipment you need for each class. There are 2 class spaces - a small yoga-ish studio off of the main room and a larger concrete floor studio in back with a small platform/stage and a roll up door for ventilation/extra light. Both have plenty of mirrors, light, and fans if needed. Alicia and her staff are super friendly and welcoming. There is always someone at the desk greeting students and getting you situated. Another cool note is that Alicia sponsors or partners with non-Columbus-based instructors who don't have studio space for extra offerings or events.

I also love how intentional the workouts feel, they're effective without feeling overwhelming. It's truly a studio that makes you look forward to your workouts. When I signed up there was a new member challenge that entailed completing 10 classes to earn a free pair of socks. I was super excited for this challenge and for the socks since they were cute so I completed 10 classes. On my tenth I walked in and they welcomed me and said congratulations on completing the new member challenge. They even took a photo of me with a sign saying I'd completed the accomplishment. Afterward I asked if I could choose my pair of socks and I was looked at as if I had two heads. Both women at the front desk said there was no such thing and insisted members only get a pair of socks for completing 100 classes. I thought I may have misheard when signing up so I went along and continued with my classes. Except the following week when another woman had completed her tenth class and was awarded and allowed to choose her complimentary pair of socks. This hurt--was my accomplishment not the same? Was I not valued the same way? It seems silly but this small miscommunication just made me feel unwelcome or as if my money or commitment to showing up didn't go as far as someone else's. That day I sent an email requesting my membership to be canceled. We went back and forth a couple times until I was notified that there was a 3 month commitment but once the 3 months are up there was a note on my account and my membership would cancel and I wouldn't be charged! I said great sounds easy enough. So I continued going to classes. When my last class rolled around I wanted to double check that my membership would be ending and safe to say no note was placed on my account and this was very disappointing. While the instructors and most of the staff are wonderful I really wish the management at this place was more thorough in communicating with their team to make sure everyone knows the policies and current promotions/challenges. I would have loved to continue working out here but just couldn't stand the idea of showing up somewhere being promised one thing and provided another. Not to mention many of the classes were repetitive in moves/music. After completing a month of classes I felt like I was stuck in the Groundhogs day movie. Additionally, while there are a variety of classes most class types are scheduled for the same days/times so this limits your ability to sign up for a variety of workouts.

I enjoyed Pure Barre because your first class is free and you do not have to commit right away. I went to the 5:30 Monday Classic Class. But there was enough distance between people so you don't feel suffocated while you work out. They aLao have wipes to clean the equipment you use(they provide all equipment, you just bring your socks). Our instructor was Abby. She was very attentive and corrected my form whenever I wasn't doing things properly. I will say the class goes a little fast so it was hard to keep up (being that I am new to the language). I'm sure if you go a few times you will catch on. All and all this was a great experience and I could feel each movement targeting specific muscles. I will likely try it again!
