Twice at the dealer, and they basically told me there wasn't a problem. Peter B worked on it, and said the issue is the hose size -- metric vs. US. If someone uses a US hose, it will be not be exactly right, and will leak once the car heats up and everything is at pressure. No more problems after Peter B worked on it. Also took my older Camry there, and asked about my newer Camry. Peter B (ie, the phone staff) was upfront about things they can work on, and things they don't. They are very busy, and I prefer to know this information before booking an appointment for 6 weeks in the future. So, I think is a time saver to have a thorough discussion on the phone at Peter B. (I hate these webforms dealers are using now -- there's a) no place to record specific issues, they basically only want a simple job, like a 40k checkover, etc. and b) dealer service intake staff never read the webform anyway. The estimate came up more than twice as high that we had got from another shop in the area! I ask the lady on the phone what they were doing to the car? It wasn't anything different from the other shop, but more than twice the cost of the other shop. I told the lady that they are completely too high and out of line! How can they expect an student to pay this kind of repair bill ? This is an old car that is probably worth less than their repair bill! By the way beware this shop charges for estimates too, the other shop didn't charge us anything! They charged my son $71 dollars for the estimate. Completely regret coming to Keller Automotive. I had a few leaks in my engine's cooling system, so I took it to Keller. He listened to what I had to say, the history of the problem, and said this would be pretty cheap/easy fix, no more than $400. That $400 turned into $700, as he had to replace the thermostat in the engine, as well as the coolant level sensor. Fine. Unseen repairs happen. However, THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. I drove it the same day and there were more drips than before! I found a leak on the topmost, completely exposed bypass hose, which he had missed the first time. I even showed him a picture of the leak in action. I returned to get my car back a few days later. Charged me $280 dollars for changing a few tubes and my engine belt. Mind you, I replaced my belt 18 months ago, and it was just fine. I had no problems with it, I didn't ask him to replace it and he did it anyway. I was about to drive my car home after paying him, and it wouldn't start. He had left the car unlocked, with the keys in the ignition HALFWAY TURNED. He drained my battery out of sheer negligence. I had to get a jump from someone else. I am never coming back here. At the prices he charges and the work he does this guy is a SCAM.
