We ordered LVP and tile through them as recommended by our insurance company, had them do the estimate and what a joke it turned out to be. Their sq foot estimates came in so much higher than every other quote we had, I talked to them at length about it because the other estimates we got were all dramatically lower. The estimator told us not to worry about it, we can just return the extra. The LVP flooring showed up months later than promised. So much so that it pushed us into the dead on winter so all cutting work had to be done from inside the house and slowed the project down considerably. Of course, as expected it was WAY to much flooring, we ended up with 405 sq feet of extra flooring. So much extra that I was able to do everything we were originally quoted for plus an entire master bedroom, walk-in closet and hallway and I still had 3 boxes left. After all this, they still wouldn't take take the 3 boxes left over because they say it took us too long? Do yourself a favor, go to the Floor Show, they did our main floor and were way better to deal with. read more

Job estimated to take 3 days, 6 weeks start to finish. Contractor washed cement-like goop down our bathroom sink, causing massive clog. Different guy left the door open after levelling the wet cement, then went home without saying a word. Our dogs got to it first and tracked that mess all over. They sold us a full box of tile more than required, but they wouldn't take it back. I'll go anywhere else next time. read more

We had a flood in our basement and Curtis Carpets was chosen by our insurance to replace the carpets. We picked the carpet and informed them we would supply the lay flat vinyl for half the area. It was difficult to coordinate the install as they only wanted to come out once and the bathroom installers wanted the flooring done before their work. I ended up installing the flooring in the bathroom as well as all the vinyl. I had been assured numerous times that I would be compensated for both the material and the install. Months of calls later I was told they sent a request to accounting to pay me $350 of the $3100 they received! 2 months have gone by, no payment received, no breakdown received, all they are giving me is lip service. Very poor customer service. The work they did was good, I just feel cheated for all the work I did. read more

Do not purchase your carpet from Curtis Carpets. long story short... I spent a good amount of money and was told it was high end carpet. I was not happy with the carpet, when I walked on the carpet it was very thin and I felt the underlayment that had hard pieces in as it was recycled material, so I had the installers come back. They (third party installers) told me it was low end carpet. They also told me Curtis carpets was not a good place to purchase carpets from. Curtis carpets did not attempt to rectify the situation. read more

After comparing to A&R Carpet Barn and the Floor Show, I went with Curtis. Not for any reason other than their price did come down lower relative to the other 2. I wasn't wowed by their service. It's hit or miss depending on who you deal with. The sales person I spoke to on the phone with was great, the sales person in the store was not that knowledgeable but nice and the estimator was a little grumpy. The installers were fantastic, very professional (took off their shoes and cleaned up after installation) and were very prompt. read more

We selected some really great carpets from Curtis Carpets - we were happy with the selection and were able to find the colours and quality we were looking for. The contract process was a little alarming - it seemed quite one-sided, but our sales rep was willing to work with us to make sure we were comfortable with the details. Installers were prompt, friendly, efficient, skilled - and most of all neat. They cleaned up as they went, and their estimated labour was bang on. Curtis Carpets called to make sure we were satisfied, and upon learning that the old carpet hadn't been picked up yet (two days), it was immediately taken care of. Overall, we were pleased with the contact with the company, and extremely pleased with the product and the installation. read more

nothing but trouble so far. ordered the flooring, had install date changed. delivery not notified and brought flooring initially on wrong day. delivery person not surprised when i told him who to call at cuurtis(person i dealt with) date changed, but not coordinated with construction crew, and had to make a fuss to have flooring installed on correct date. this is a business, so when i went to check that flooring was finished and i could put my office back together........wrong flooring installed. have left a message for them. will see how they deal with it. not a pleasant experience so far. read more
