Whilst outside the 30 day right to refund and return stipulated under the 2015 Consumer Act this is well within the six month period in which it is the retailers responsibility, not the manufacturers, to either fix or replace the item. Gotchs failed to recognize this and told us we had to go to the manufacturer. This is very unhelpful and I'll-informed customer service. This really does need rectifying as Gotchs will lose customers.

Gotch's is an electrical store selling very much what you would expect in the likes of Curry's on Gowthorpe. Gotch's is a family run business that has built up a good reputation amongst the locals not only for its goods but also for it excellent sales and after sales service. The Interior is larger than you would think with a range of house hold appliances as well as ranges in TV's and music. In the past we have brought a freezer and a tumble dryer, and that's even after shopping around for prices. The prices are too similar to bother with the big companies and its nice to support a Selby business over the national stores.

You can also get hoover bags and tumble drier hose replacements and the like from this shop. Robinsons often has bargain items such as second hand but top condition washers, hoovers and other electrical (mainly kitchen) items in the window. Situated next to the Ritz cinema it doesn't have its own parking but customers can park in the nearby town square or pull up along the road to load larger items. Robinsons has been going for many years and I have never heard a bad thing about the service, the products or the prices. Definitely worth a look.

The staff were very knowledgeable and polite, if not a little too helpful to sell extras like cables, surge plug thingies ( I blew it there..) and extended warranties. But if you research your stuff there are real bargains to be had in these difficult times; and remember each sales staff has a quota to fill. For a small store it is surprising just how many TV's, computers, washing machine, dishwashers, toaster, kettles and gaming products you can fit in there. As a positive Curry's can order in any model in their larger stores and instead of waiting half and hour to be served the small store insures there are staff available to help you.

Kamran went to so much trouble for us that the customer service we received was quite awesome. I rang him when I saw that he had a red Swan washing machine in stock but as Sheffield is over 300 miles away from where we live I wasn't really expecting to be able to obtain the item which I wasn't able to get down south where we live. I wasn't very au fait either with courier delivery services so when Kamran offered to help I was very grateful to him - especially in view of the fact that after I'd arranged delivery with one courier I realised I was going to be charged too much But Kamran, sourced another for me - arranged it & then ensured we were kept informed throughout the collection & delivery from a 5 star courier. The washing machine has now arrived & it's just what we wanted at a great price too. Kamran & the Appliance Centre just can't be faulted
