When I chose Trattoria Toscana I had circulating in my head thought that with such a popular…read morelocation at the old Tempelhof airport could be in really nice Italian trattoria?! In the final balance my intuition failed me. The restaurant looks really good. You can feel the atmosphere of Italian street and certainly accommodate the whole Italian family. Menu - very readable, it's hard to choose anything. The chef recommends almost all the dishes unless throughout Italy. The impatient waiter who insults at you when you say that you need a moment to decide. Let's get to the star of the evening - food. I decided on spaghetti with pesto with rocket salad with prawns and pizza Capricciosa. Spaghetti tasty but not sensational. The portion was huge. I think for many people it is a plus especially men, but for me, not at all. I do not like to leave food and throw away, so I try to eat as much I can and then it completely I can not move and I just feel bad. Pizza with the appearance looks really appetizing, super decorated. Impressive, but, unfortunately, no different from the pizza on the corner of Turk. Tomato sauce completely expressionless. The same story with cheese. It was only one visit in this place. I prefer ore intimate places, it's not my style.
What can I expect from an Italian place right outside of the sbahn station? Not much…read more I've been a little surprised but this place is nice. The menu is rather messy and the place is rather dark even though there's sunlight. A place that claims to be pure Italian and serves mixed ground meat (beef and pork) together really pisses me off, DO NOT try to save money on this. It tastes worse- and then comes this fun time where I have to start looking for something else. Bread is served to the table but nothing comes with it, how about some balsamic and olive oil? I love the little gestures of Italian places, but it didn't happen here. So I've compromise on mushroom and chicken pasta with some weird sauce, didn't like it, but it took a while and I had to eat something. My friend ordered a pizza which was insanely large for one person to finish, so if you do order it consider sharing. Wasn't too impressed, I'm really starting to like Italian places less and less just because of places like this.

A very cozy restaurant in Tempelhof for affordable and tasty Italian cuisine. It was really nice…read morethat the waitresses knew some English -- I am still in confusion as to how to eat alone at a Berlin restaurant... Most items on the menu are between 6 and 20 Euros, depending what you order. I am typically a pasta person, and I could not find lasagna on the menu, so I ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara. To my surprise, there was a LOT of bacon and it was in really big proportion, compared to what I expected for 6,50 Euros. I also had a glass of wine: glasses run between 2,90 and 4,00 Euros, not too bad at all! The service was really quick, and the food was pretty delicious, although I will say I felt the sauce was rather thick. I am definitely going to come here again though, to continue my wine adventures.

A nice, cozy restaurant situated next to the Alt-Tempelhof bus stop and the Alt-Tempelhof U-Bahn…read morestation. It may look small from the outside, but it is actually quite commodious on the inside, and it also exudes a warm environment. The servers are quick to welcome guests, and they also speak English! Which is great because my German did not get me very far, but they still went ahead and tried to converse with me in German! (Good for practicing!) I had the lambrusco wine, and I am generally not a fan of wine, but this was really good! And it was a little over 4 Euros for 0,25L, not too bad. (: I also ordered the spaghetti with bacon and egg. The proportion was really good, and the price was only about 7,50 Euros. This DEFINITELY beats most Italian restaurants I have been to in California -- especially Olive Garden!! I really enjoyed my service and meal here. I may have to come back more often because it was that welcoming. (:
A pleasant venue with an extensive menu. I went for a tagliatelle with salmon in a cream…read moresauce...and that's literally what I got. Pasta, salmon, in cream. The pasta was cooked well, and it came loaded with salmon...but it lacked any flavour. I was disappointed and mentioned it to the waiter who immediately offered something else. Fantastic local place to get some low-frills eats and beer! Very friendly staff who accommodated us…read morewithout a hitch. We came here after having been turned away by an Indonesian restaurant that was "full for the night". We are so glad that fate brought us here instead of that Indonesian restaurant!! What were we even thinking anyway -- forget the Indonesian food, get the local specialities!! Ordered the schnitzel as well as the meatballs and both were executed perfectly. Schnitzel was hot and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside -- not overly salty either. Meatballs were juicy and packed with flavor from the minced onions that they had mixed in. The beer (we ordered a Pilsner) was the best that we had tried in all of the Berlin and Dresden restaurants that we visited. I believe it is from some small private brewery affiliated with the restaurant somehow. Whatever they are doing, they are doing it right, so definitely order the house beer. Super cozy seating (you'll probably be sharing a table with other guests) and packed all night long but amazing vibes and casual comfort food. Would come back if I ever visit Berlin again!

We tried to go to a nearby Greek place but they were full and kind of rude too. We walked over here and the place was empty at 6:30 pm so a bit worried. No need. The draft Pilsner was very excellent and the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. We got pork schnitzel and meatballs and it was really very tasty. Would recommend!
