Located near the park and beach in a great little local strip of shops with 2 cafes, a yoga studio, fish and chip shop and newsagent. Trying to find a table on a Sunday for breakfast, let alone Father's Day, can be a mission but from the moment we approached for a table the staff went out of their way to help us when they were booked out and then move us somewhere more comfortable when it came available. The special Father's Day menu was varied and fresh with beautiful flavours and local produce. Our table had potato rosti with cured trout, poached eggs and a dill and caper holland aide, waffles with caramalised banana and salted caramel and black sticky rice with a poached pear. We also could resist treating the dads to a slice of fudgy chocolate brownie. All of our meals were excellent, well portioned without being ridiculous. Our coffees were good and as a spy drinker I'm happy to say they serve bonsoy. All in all this was a great cafe experience, particularly on what is a busy time of year. I'd be happy to come back and more than happy to recommend it over most of our food experiences of Mooloolaba from previous visits.

I found Bulli with a Google search and after browsing a couple of menu options decided to go for it. Nestled off the main road facing the park and beach access, Bulli stood out with its industrial architecture with pops of color from the cute sidewalk table decor. The menu is small but straightforward - breakfast was up on a chalkboard and lunch items were set up in the refrigerated display case. I chose a roasted vegetable toastie, my husband picked a breakfast toastie with egg, bacon & cheese, a chorizo tart to share, and we also asked for a small salad with a small serving of each of the 3 salads on display to be able to sample each one. For some liquid caffeine we ordered a short black. Both toasties were excellent. Fresh ingredients, warmed through and toasted to perfection. The chorizo tart was different than I had expected - it was similar to a slice of quiche with lots of eggs. The chorizo was more similar to a sausage than the crumbly, greasy chorizo we're used to at home, but it was tasty nonetheless. The 3 salad "samples" arrived in separate bowls - not sure if it was a mistake but the portions were way bigger than expected so we were definitely feasting well for under $40! The short black my husband ordered was divine. For all the Americans reading this who don't know what I'm talking about, a short black is essentially just a shot of espresso. It came in a tiny mug and the shot itself was complex, rich and creamy. Definitely go out of your way and visit Bulli if you're near Noosa! Get a takeaway coffee, go across the street and hoof it down to the beach when you're done eating. Perfect spot!

The food has always been very fresh and flavoursome, theres always a couple of new special items. The coffee is always great - they serve Segafredo, they make the perfect Piccolo Lattes. Its casual dining - you order breaky at the counter, and at dinner they will take your order at the table. Pizza crusts are thin and toppings are tasty but not overloaded. The PPPP pizza is usually my pick, if not one of the specials. Family's are well looked after - its across the road from a popular local park with swings/sides etc for the kids. Its BYO - and very laid back - very appropriate for the area. The decor is sparse and the food and coffee does all the talking. Pricing is very fair - meal sizes are right. It can be crazy busy on the Long weekends and Mothers Day/Fathers Day etc - best to get in early, that said, you can always have a coffee while you wait for a table. Relax and enjoy...
