I've heard great things about this store, and have called in quite a few timesbut I just never see anything I like, but it's nice to browse! The Little Boutique stocks dresses mostly: colourful, sequinned, silk and satin, things that you'd wear for a party, a night out or a day at the races. All the extras and accessories are available with lots of jewellery and hair pieces all laid out on dressing tables. In all honesty, I do feel The Little Boutique is a little overpriced as the stock, while it may be handmade/designer/boutique/one-off, whatever, it can often appear a little, well, tacky, even dare I say tarty, perhaps that's a little harsh, as I say I like to browse here, and the staff are really genuine always saying hello and allowing you to look around freely.

How wrong I was! It's a gorgeous set-up with chandeliers and fabric draped across the ceiling with luxurious silky curtains. It reminded me of a princess's dressing room (and boy does she have good taste!) No two items are the same and they choose only the finest quality vintage outfits, none of that run of the mill 'I'll have to sew that here, and take that up there' nonsense. They not only sell vintage but also designer and upcoming labels which are all mixed together on the rails, hanging lovingly side by side could be a stunning designer dress and a 1920s vintage piece. The price ranges are as varied as the styles with dresses ranging from £20 to around £500 so everyone has the opportunity to buy their little piece of unique clothing! The accessories were amazing, they had headbands, brooches, rings, earrings... all sorts of little gems that would be great as gifts or as a personal treat, now these were the real bargains, all carefully handpicked and oh so cheap. Forget the common Topshop dresses and the outfit clashes and purchase some top quality threads from a boutique that will make you feel like royalty. They had some beautiful prom dress style formal wear, I just need an occasion and I'll be back with my credit card quicker than you can say Gok Wan.

The Dressing Room stocks a beautiful collection of clothes accessories and jewellery which is not easily found in town, there's a real sense of style in here and the window displays are consistently alurring. The prices are not extortionate and considering the convenience of the store, are actually very reasonable. The staff, in my experience, are variable: some days they're friendly, some days not, but they're only human and everybody has an off day! I would say this shop has a particular target audience: young fashionable females, and I don't think the mechandise will appeal to all of the local ladies.

Crucial is a great little women's fashion shop. Compared to most of the clothing shops around, this…read moreone is amazing. Unlike the cheap-import-type shops around, this shop actually sells fairly high quality, nice clothing. I love the variety in styles--there's something for the girly girls, and something for the punk/goth chicks as well. My style is anything girly. I saw a lot of ruffled tops and flowing dresses, and the prices were decent, so maybe I'll come back when I have some spending money.

Check out the Buba bags as worn by Katy Price (aka Jorden). Despite the designer look and really good fashion the prices are great but don't be mistaken - you should not start comparing April Boutique to TK Max. Prices range from £50 to £500 but there are payment schemes to help. Bring your wages and visit the VIP area with seating TV and drinks.

Even in the window is a sign just to inform the casual passer by of payment plans which are available. I don't know about you, but I don't plan on taking out a mortgage for a dress anytime soon! However, this boutique exudes elegance, celebrity chic and high fashion. Even the mannequins glitter with silver mirrors, enticing custom into the shop. When I have been by, it has always seemed empty but if only one customer bought a dress per day, I think they'd make their rent! A shopping experience for the rich, the VIP and the wannabe wealthy. Same sorts of clothes as everywhere else, and a small shoe and bag section, with some additional accessories near the till. For some reason there always seems to be a lot of mums with pushchairs in here, though I can't quite figure out why. I must say, I preferred the old store near Lewis's, while the stock was similar, the shop was larger and brighter, there was more stuff and more space to look; it was a little decrepit, but it wasn't in St John's which I tend to find dark and claustrophobic Now there is no alternative I shop here. The stock is variable with some obligatory tat but an occassional bargain (as with most of these style stores) and the staff are always on hand and very helpful.

And on top of that you have to spend your life wearing granny bras and over-the-shoulder-bolder-holders. Now that there's a Bravissimo in Liverpool, all that has changed. Say goodbye to your dull grey bosom buddies that could theoretically be used as hammocks. Bravissimo stocks girly, colourful bras that fit all sizes, even the sizes that you didn't dream were physically possible without surgical enhancement. Not only that, they also have a range of clothes and swimwear for the top-heavy lady. I'm not really bothered about the swimwear, as I don't like strap marks so my bikinis usually disappear as long as no one's looking, but the clothes are essential. Available in curvy, really curvy or super curvy, even the sizes don't make you think of yourself as overly big. A must have for all top heavy women, but good for 'normal' sizes too. If you haven't discovered Bravissimo yet, I pity your boyfriends.....
