I've heard great things about this store, and have called in quite a few timesbut I just never see anything I like, but it's nice to browse! The Little Boutique stocks dresses mostly: colourful, sequinned, silk and satin, things that you'd wear for a party, a night out or a day at the races. All the extras and accessories are available with lots of jewellery and hair pieces all laid out on dressing tables. In all honesty, I do feel The Little Boutique is a little overpriced as the stock, while it may be handmade/designer/boutique/one-off, whatever, it can often appear a little, well, tacky, even dare I say tarty, perhaps that's a little harsh, as I say I like to browse here, and the staff are really genuine always saying hello and allowing you to look around freely.

I am definitely a fan of The Dressing Room…read more I remember when it first opened and I thought "I won't be shopping in there; it'll be all the same stuff I can get cheaper in town; it'll be overpriced; the staff with be stuck up and unapproachable," but once again, I was proved wrong and very cynical. The Dressing Room stocks a beautiful collection of clothes accessories and jewellery which is not easily found in town, there's a real sense of style in here and the window displays are consistently alurring. The prices are not extortionate and considering the convenience of the store, are actually very reasonable. The staff, in my experience, are variable: some days they're friendly, some days not, but they're only human and everybody has an off day! I would say this shop has a particular target audience: young fashionable females, and I don't think the mechandise will appeal to all of the local ladies.

Rocktopia sells a variety of what appears to be sort of 'New Age' looking clothing, all of which seems to be Fair Trade products. The clothing they sell there generally is of the tie-dye variety, which whilst I'm sure is brilliant for people who are into that sort of thing, it's not really for me (it also did nearly all seemed to be aimed at women). It's all still a very worthwhile cause to support, mind. They also sell various ornaments and decorations of a similar kind to the clothing which is all very pretty and everything but again, not really for me. Despite this, I do think that Rocktopia is a place everyone should visit, just to admire their collections if nothing else because I do think that local independent shops such as these should be supported by the community.

However, on occassions I have felt uncomfortable looking around or even put off going in because of the somewhat inhospitable staff; shame really.

This isn't the best branch of New Look. It only sells womens clothes and doesn't do the Inspire…read morerange. It is very small and cramped and almost impossible to to get round with a buggy. The clothes are nice but it only has a small selection. The store could be kept tidier, you often find clothes on the floor and stock not arranged very well.
