The tooth had been hurting off and on for a few weeks, but it absolutely exploded in pain over the 24 hours before I got in. The prior two epsidodes were not nearly so bad or progressive, and the pain of those was essentially gone when the anesthetic wore off, so I was surprised he gave me a narcotic pain prescription - until the anesthetic wore off. Then I realized just how inflammed that area had been, and while I hate medicine, I took the pills for the next 24 hours by which time the pain was almost resolved.

Ruth took excellent care during and after surgery explaining everything that would happen pre and post operatively. Barb coordinated my office visit and explained everything step by step. If you go to an area dentist you need to tell them to send your referral for specialized care with Dr Bickel and Dr Ford. The dr we first saw told us we would get an initial set of dentures and then a permanent set after all the healing was done. That dr is no longer there, and the dr that is there, has said he is not going to honor what the first dr said. So we are struck with the initial set that does not fit correctly and now have to pay another dentist to have another set of dentures done. As a rule, I hate going to the dentist, especially when I need a cavity drilled and filled or a crown replaced. I hate shots and getting novocaine creates heightened anxiety. Not anymore! Dr. Trinh is an absolute master - I didn't feel a thing. He was calm, skilled and totally eliminated my fear. My crown was removed, the cavity underneath cleaned out and new crown replaced within 2hours.
