I feel like he's really honest about whether appliances are worth fixing ("Never get rid of these old dryers! They don't make 'em like they used to!") or better to replace. When our wall oven conked out, he came by to have a look and explained that fixing it just wouldn't be worth it. He has also recommend replacement appliances to us based on his own knowledge about breakage rates and construction quality. He's cheerful, arrives on time, does good work, and charges reasonable rates. He can clearly explain what's going on with your broken stuff in a way that makes sense and is easy to understand. The only issue was that the timer doesn't work. We weren't sure if the clothes were drying before the timer went off but after the 3rd day of using it, we left in the morning to run errands for a few hours while drying clothes for 30mins and when we returned home later that after noon the dryer was still running. I do recall the sales lady highly recommended the Roper dryer while I was interested in other dryers. But of course she swindle me into purchasing the Roper to which I should have returned within the 7day refund policy. I hate dealing with home repairs because so many companies take advantage of women, but that was not the case with Best Appliance Service. Vlad spent over an hour diagnosing the issue and could have easily pushed a costly repair. Instead, he recommended just buying a brand new washer based on what it would cost for him to fix it. He even fixed my microwave door, charged only the diagnostic fee, and followed up by sending links to washer recommendations. Now I am finding out that the Speed Queen warranty only covers parts...not labor and trip visit.
