It was a flat white, a cappuccino and a generous chunk of home - made, zingy lemon meringue pie between us. The coffees and the light airy pie were delicious. The rest - rooms were well appointed too. Once the food was delivered to the table I asked for the bill so that we could just leave once we were done. I'm a fan of coffee slices and would prefer their topping to be more like the sticky caramel you get in most bakeries - theirs is a hard icing. Their salads are fresh and they offer a nice selection. For hot food, you can try their all day breakfast - in my opinion it could be of better quality in some parts like the sausages but that's just personal preference. Their vol au vents are tasty and the potato gratin, delicious. The restaurant itself is bright, airy and clean - if the weather permits you can sit in the small terraced garden. The prices are average and there are specials available. The staff are very friendly. Bradburys haven't gone down the gourmet breakfast, sandwich or meal route like so many places have. They have enough of a selection in the salad to build your own gourmet sandwich. Would it make it better if they did advertise an all gourmet menu it's hard to say. As it's a favourite spot for my mum for a bite to eat and a chat, I'll be returning again and again.

The queue begins from behind the window, not the front. All that said!! What a delicious crepe! I've never had a savory crepe and now I wish I lived in Ireland so I could keep coming back for this yummy treat. They have tables for their guests to sit and enjoy their meal. I initially thought it looked really good but I soon realised the crepe itself was extremely oily, like it was dripping out the bottom! Maybe due to the tomatoes? There was very little filling, it wasn't til I got near the bottom that I even found any of the offending tomatoes, and very little flavour in general. I think it cost about 7 euro. I didn't expect it to be amazing... and it wasn't! Probably wouldn't bother next time.

There's lots of seating inside and outside, a comfortable spot for a quick recharge while shopping!

It's mostly designed to be a place to take food and drinks to go but it does have a counter and stools at the window. I picked up a flat white and a small Portuguese sweet cream tart. The espresso coffee was delicious, and the flat white was really well made. The coffee, from a traditional Italian roaster, is actually a 50:50 Arabica/Robusta beans and it blew away my misconception that you can't make good coffee with Robusta beans. The tart was interesting; the sweet cream was like dense sweet custard, rich with egg yolks. I'm not crazy about custardy things (why did you buy it then?!) but still enjoyed it! My brother goes there often, in particular for their Reuben sandwich, and highly recommends their savory food (along with the coffee!). They have just been has been nominated for Best Café Award in the Restaurants Association of Ireland - congrats folks! I'm also giving them 4/5 "green stars" for social and environmental impact. They have a lot of healthy and vegetarian options and their food is made in-house, including condiments like chutneys, dressings and pickles. They source ingredients locally whenever possible; from either the green grocer next door or their own garden (the owners have a poly tunnel). They source their local cheese directly from makers or via Sheridan's and their bread is from a local artisan baker. They use free-range eggs, including some from hens belonging to a staff-member! Their coffee is from Portioli, and old family-run roaster from Milan. It's probably because Portioli are so old-school that they have nothing to say about their coffee sourcing practices and they also don't have any certifications (Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, etc.) so it's hard to judge for sure.
