This is a cute little dainty tea shop. We came for afternoon tea and loved the experience. The tea is served in beautiful teapot sets and really enhances the experience. They offer the 3 tiered set (to be shared between 2 ppl) plus a small teapot for each person for 25 euros per person. There are also a la carte brunch and lunch items you can order. I had the dreamy creamy Galway tea and it was good but I also had a taste of the "roses are red tea" and it was so delicious that I ordered this after I finished my pot. The teapot is not large and there are no refills. The sandwiches are ham and apple slices with a sweet spread and an egg salad. There were also scones and desserts. I didn't care for the desserts (which tasted like mini cupcakes) but the rest were good. The place is tiny so be sure to make a reservation if you want to guarantee your spot.

What an ADORABLE tea parlor! I can see why there are so many 5-star reviews. For one, the service is incredible. The ladies who work here are so nice and attentive. We came on a bank holiday (Monday) around lunch time without a reservation and were seated in about seven minutes. There are a couple of tables outside, but I'd recommend sitting inside as it has lovely decor. By the way, you can purchase items such as tea and teacup ornaments, but they also ship worldwide if you order online! The menu is quite extensive for tea; I ordered the Christmas Cheer which totally smelled like the holidays. I love that they give you individual tea pots and a tea timer so you know how long to let the tea steep for. The food is also quite impressive! I ordered the pancake crepe which came with blueberry ganache and a side of yogurt (as a garnish really). I'd highly recommend stopping by for brunch or afternoon tea!

Really adorable, picturesque tea room in Galway. Very quaint, old time vibe, with great attention to detail. We had the "before noon tea" (tea, scones, fruit, and yogurt). Light, delicious, and relaxing breakfast, although there are heartier options on the menu as well. Very respectable tea selection and you can also purchase some from the shop to take away (which I did) Even though this place is extremely well-known, you don't get a touristy feeling or that it has lost any authenticity or charm. Definitely try it!

I really enjoyed my experience here. I had the Irish breakfast tea, one of their best sellers, and now I know why. It had a very unique taste that was quite creamy but also light, the perfect balance. I bought a pack to take back home to Toronto. This place is also very nicely presented and great for groups. Highly recommend if your in Galway.

Spent an afternoon here enjoying a full tea service on a rainy winter day. The place is really cute, with a vast selection of teas. The food was really good as well. My friend and I pretty much cleared the entire tray. It does seem to get really busy and there isn't much room to wait inside. Seems like you can make reservations the day of, so I would stop by when they open and get your name down for a table later in the day.

Cupan Tea is a great place for afternoon (or anytime) tea! I am so glad we stopped by while passing through Galway. For 25 euros/person, we got a tray of delicious scones, tea sandwiches & desserts, along with a pot of tea each. We got two teas: Dreamy Creamy Galway & Roses are Red. The Dreamy Creamy Galway tea was good, but man the Roses are Red was AMAZING & SO much better. The Roses are Red tea has roses & marzipan. It was delicious & the perfect tea to go with everything. We loved it so much we had three tea cups of it (they will top you off with hot water). I also got a package of it for myself. The staff was very, very friendly as well. Stop by for some tea & sit outside if the weather permits...you won't regret it!

Adorable cafe in Galway!! I saw this place from the outside and new I would have to stop in for lunch! The restaurant is very cozy and has the perfect atmosphere for enjoying tea time. The menu is quite extensive with multiple food and tea options. I had the gunpowder green tea, which was the best green tea that I have ever had, and they give you a cute little hour glass so you know when your tea is done steeping. I also had the house spiced and tea infused chicken sandwich, which was a generous portion and tasted amazing.

This place is just the cutest! I forced my husband to come here with me when we were visiting Galway. They have a cute little storefront with outdoor seating. In the storefront window they have tons of teacups and decorations hanging in an artistic way. There were so many teas to choose from, and it was a bit overwhelming to only choose one. We ended up getting 2 different pots of tea, and oh boy were we hydrated. Their raspberry scones were to die for. I always thought of scones as dry pastries that was more of a punishment to eat than a pleasure. But no, their scones were not dry at all! My favorite part was drinking out of the cute little teacups, they were so pretty and looked vintage. I felt like princess drinking my tea and eating scones. If I lived in Galway, this spot would definitely be a regular spot for me.

One word- adorable! This place was right across from our hotel and what a great find. I had the "high tea" and champagne tea, my husband had the traditional breakfast. We both loved the atmosphere, the nice service and the fine China. The owner was there and she's adorable too.

When you think of tea, this is exactly the aesthetic that comes to mind. Tea cups, pots and saucers overflowing on every surface in an organized chaos. Lace and frills on everything and enticing baked goods as soon as you walk in. Visually, this place is spot on for an instagramable tea. Now, the tea. We got the signature house tea, the creamy Galway. And it's divine. We bought 2 bags of it to take home. The scones were delicious as well. I wish we could come here all the time!

Delicious afternoon tea spot in Galway! They have an & expansive tea selection and great food.

The cutest place for afternoon tea and just hanging out. I could come here every day. Saw this recommended on several "What to do in Galway" blogs and articles so we decided to check it out. The decor is quaint, old timey but in a good way, and just overall adorable. A pretty girly place but the boyfriend didn't seem to mind because the food was exceptional. We decided to do the afternoon tea and were given the cutest tea pot and a tower of assorted treats. There were finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and different bites of their desserts. There wasn't a single thing I didn't like on there. The scones were AMAZING. The staff was nice and quick and more than accommodating. If we weren't in such a hurry, we would've tried even more of their desserts because they all looked amazing. Definitely a must do in Galway!

Very cute and charming place. Just stopped in to pick up some tea for my boyfriend. Teas are reasonably priced and the food looked amazing. You can't get food to go though!

They have jewelry, decorations, candles, you name it. A great little spot to pick up a gift for someone. There is a lovely cafe at the back which serves a great selection of cakes and coffees. Staff were very friendly. I popped here on a very wet day, and warmed up with coffee and a slice of lemon drizzle cake. A latte, flat white, slice of lemon drizzle and a slice of apricot and almond cake €13.20. Yummy.

If you're looking for that, this is a good stop. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have some of the local fossils, some of which were abundant in the paving stones at the Cliffs of Moher park. In fact, we stopped to buy those--but they are probably not of interest to the types of tourist that this shop is geared towards. I did find a dark chocolate whiskey candy bar here, which I enjoyed. They do have a little coffee shop with desserts and pastries...a bit incongruous with the concept of a rock and gem shop.
