Ambience in almost any cafe with outdoor seating in Prague is Fantastic. People Watching is da bomb! Hot Wine at about $10 and a great bread bowl of cabbage soup for $5. A better lunch I've never had in Prague! I ordered a strudel and coffee to celebrate!

Service was friendly all around. 355K/$15.43 Beef Gulas with Bread dumplings...a very traditional Czech beef stew. No matter where you get this, its always good. The presentation was fantastic as the bowl was suspended over a candle to keep the food nice and hot, I loved this! 95K/$4.10 Grenaille Potatoes side...a generous side order of roasted potatoes, lightly seasoned, enough for 2, but I ate it all. They dip nicely in the beef gulas stew! 89K/$3.87 Černá Barbora dark beer...I love dark beers, and this was the best Czech beer I had in my 1 week Czech advernture. Robust and flavorful, unlike the tasteless light lagers and pilsners everyone else seems to enjoy. More pricy, but as an American this is still really cheap for a quality beer! Almost gave this a 4 Star because it is just barely within the tourist zone and I don't think any locals visit here, but the food was good and reasonably priced, service very friendly, and served food late.

We had the same experience with entering as another reviewer: we entered from the street rather than the square and didn't realize how close we were until we looked beyond their cleverly disguised gate with bushes. The staff is fluent in English, so it made it very easy to communicate, as none of us speak Czech (unfortunately). They are prompt and friendly. They serve large beers, which is perfect when you are traveling and experiencing the delicious dark Czech beers. The food is top notch. They serve primarily local cuisine. No one had a meal that they didn't enjoy. I had the pork with beets and potatoes at one meal, but I can't recall the other! My husband had the dill soup and is still raving about it a days later! I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area. And peep that dish! YUM!

Todo estuvo muy bien.

While we were staring in the Mala Strana, it was just over a mile walk to get to Smichov, having a chance to pass by the Memorial to the Victims of Communism on our walk. Interesting setting and location, would have never found the place if it weren't for Janek, The Honest Guide on You Tube, calling the Eggs Benedict, "legendary." We can vouch for that, the soufflé was amazing looking and tasting. Big enough that my girlfriend could not finish the plate. I opted for the traditional English breakfast. It was a full plate of food that was fantastic! The beans were flavorful, the roasted tomatoes juicy and warm. The sausage AB's bacon cooked perfectly. The string is unique, very artsy in my opinion, combining indoor/outdoor seating. Very open and comfortable, appeared to be many locals taking in a morning coffee or breakfast and working. Amazing place, we enjoy every minute of this experience AB's our food. Highly recommended!
