It's right by Namesti Miru so it's just too easy to stop by for a mid afternoon ice cream. Which is what this review will mainly be about. While I love Angelato and the cafes offering 2AD ice cream all over town, Vanille has become my go to. The ice cream is pretty darn good and only 20 kc for a scoop! I haven't seen a better price for good quality ice cream in Prague. They offer different flavors regularly. I would say Angelato outshines them with their creative flavor combos but Vanille is half the price and way less crowded. So far my favorite flavors are almond (mandle) and frozen yogurt with a berry compote. Also, their chai latte for just 45 kc is delicious!! Get the tiger chai if you like your chai on the bolder side.

With 6-8 pale green shudders, pretty pastel writing and architectually beautiful windows, this place invites you in and begs you to stay. That is all even before you see their sweet selection! We stopped in here for a latte and a cappuchino, and really loved it here. I was sad they did not have any venecek, but they did have many other options for sweet lovers, from cookies, donut type desserts, to cakes, lollipops and everything seemed to be made right there in their back kitchen. I love the decoration and ambiance of this place off the bat. Walking in here is like walking into a familiar friends country house even if you have never been here. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and so are the staff. I would go back here any time I was in the area. Great find.

Contrary to other reviews here, my coffee was perfectly made and balanced nicely between sweet and bitter. It was a bit of a coffee cocktail with syrups and homemade whipped cream. Delicious. The cake I had was amazing. It was a chocolate cake I saw in the fridge window and I knew I had to have it. Fudgy, yet light. Chocolatey, yet breezy. It was the perfect complement to a slightly bitter coffee. Absolutely delicious. Service was friendly and the waiter spook decent English. Match that with a perfect ambience (a calm garden with the occasional quack of ducks) and you have a solid 5 star experience. It's a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the trip.

Native Czech, Iveta Fabesova (hence the IF initials), is the pastry-loving chef and mastermind behind this omnipresent café chain that's taken over Prague, all inspired by her love of French Gastronomy. It's honestly a great café. They offer the right stuff, and the desserts are creative works of art. I'd say though that those are their crowning jewels....the desserts. I had coffee, and a breakfast dish, and was underwhelmed, especially when you consider the price (cheap outside of Prague, expensive in Prague). I get it, it caters to foreigners and is artisan in its nature, so each of those elements tend to raise the price. But I wasn't blown away by my meal or coffee. Come here for desserts and you won't be disappointed at all. Your eyes will light up with the choices and the beauty in each one. They do that really well and are a leader in Prague in pastries.

The stone work in the interior is quite nicely done, and the space itself is big enough to fit about 15 or so people. What I really liked about this place was how they personalized their appearance; from the words written on the way in on the stairs, to the homemade sweets made right in their own kitchen (which you can see into), to a cupcake trash can, a coffee mug shaped table, unique artwork on the walls, books scattered around to read. I just loved the atmosphere that they have created here. Also the servers are on top of things and I always appreciate that. Now on to the food. All their homemade treats look amazing, I ordered a venecka (a donut looking sweet with creme in the middle) for 32 crowns and it was amazing. Best one I have ever had in my entire life. I loved it so much that I went back up to the counter to get the last one before anyone else could! Man I want another right now!!! They were just so good. Also their cafe late was quite good. I was very happy to FINALLY find a place worth 5 stars after a while of being disappointed by multiple places. Really truly loved this place. Will be back for more of all of this!!
