Came here for coffee with the bf when we were in Prague a couple of weeks ago. We decided to come…read moreby here as it was only a block away from where we were staying, and it had gotten rave reviews. We also saw that it employed local folks with mental handicaps, so we thought that was a really nice thing for the community.
Once inside, we were immediately greeted by the workers. We both decided on different coffee drinks: a flat white for me, and a latte for the bf. I also got a venecek: an iced doughnut that's essentially cut in half and filled with custard. We didn't get to dine in, but the cafe looked super cozy, with the front counter and the back walls being made up of intricately stacked books. It looked like a great place to do work or to study in.
Our drinks both tasted pretty good, and sappily enough, they tasted like they were made with love. I'm not sure if the pastries are made in house, but the venecek I had was pretty good, and surprisingly not as sweet as it had looked. I'd certainly love to come back here, if I happened to be in Prague again, and I would recommend it to people who wish the support local community as well.
