First things first, if Jimmy Abdon recommends a guy, you know he's going to be good! Came to Tom's…read moreAuto and A/C after Jim noticed my compressor was rattling like a toy in the hands of an excited toddler. Even though we're not in Texas, having a car without a functioning A/C is a quick way to make driving miserable. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. I can turn on my A/C after the car sits in the noon sun, and have it already blowing cold in a minute or two. This confirmed that Tom's does quality work, and while the parts may cost more, you know everything will work as it should. Being someone who needs A/C to live, worth every penny. I called and was able to make an appointment without a problem. Tom was great about keeping me in the loop about whether he was able to obtain the needed part and let me know when the car was all set. This may seem small, but keeping the customer in the loop is pretty underrated. I also asked to see the old compressor afterward, and they were able to show me what was wrong with it and causing it to make noise. The repair was not cheap, with the compressor alone coming in at around $400. I mentioned that I saw the part for $200-something online. I was told that because they answer for the work, they need to be able to quickly obtain a new part if the one they had was defective. Ordering online would mean us having to wait for a while while the new one comes in, which could take a while. Not to mention I would either be out a car, or there'd be extra labor in assembling/reassembling. The higher price was at least in part due to several markups along the supply chain.

The rear, driver's side window in my car would not go up, and was stuck half open. I don't know…read morewhether the problem was the regulator or the motor, but either way, I didn't want to spend a lot of money right now on a repair...but I did need to get the window closed. I found Jim through a listing he had on Craigslist, and decided to take a chance and contact him....and boy am I glad I did! Jim responded to my email immediately. I told him what I needed done and he responded with a price for the service (which was very fair/reasonable) and the time he would be able to come and do the work. Jim arrived on time and immediately got to work. Jim was pleasant and professional. I was very pleased with his work and the price he charged. I would definitely hire him again and would recommend his service without reservation. If you're looking for a mobile mechanic who can come to your location and work on your car, Jim is your guy. Best of all, he offers same day service (provided he has an opening on his schedule).

I was originally told to drop my car off before the end of the day and that they would work on it and have it done by tomorrow morning. I dropped my car off around 4pm and Andy mentioned that they would actually be able to start on my vehicle right away and try and get it done before they close. I got a call an hour later letting me know it was done (and at a very, very reasonable price)! As seen in the photos, the install went well, with perfect alignment of the tips to the diffuser and to each other. Also, the new exhaust is exactly what I wanted! Stock exhaust quiet when idling but opens up nicely when steeping on the gas. I had an amazing first experience with Andy and his team at Pro-Spec Autosport and will definitely be coming back for any future mechanical work or aftermarket parts install!

Price was reasonable…read more I requested a tire change and got that, but when I went in my TPMS was working fine and now it is not working at all. Have driven a bit since I got the car back with the new tires and it says the air pressure in 1 of my new tires is 1. After completing work they should have teated everything and addressed the TPMS alert, but it was 4 pm on a Saturday after I had been there since 12:45 pm. I also got an oil change which I was quoted $69.99 and was charged $78.98. They never put an oil change sticker on as I have the sticker from my last oil change done elsewhere nor did they reset the dashboard message, which makes me believe they didn't complete the oil change. Front desk was friendly although I waited 13 minutes before anyone showed up to the front desk. Now I need to go back and find out why my TPMS light won't go out and all 4 tires have different air pressure. Also need to find out why I never got any proof of my oil change in the form of a reminder and car notification reset. I have do to this on a work day, the exact thing I was trying to avoid for a problem that shouldn't exist. Jury is out on if I will rerate this or recommend it as I am feeling uneasy about the attention to detail.
