I would have liked to give zero stars, but this is, unfortunately, not possible; therefore, I have…read moreto settle for one. Here is my story: My wife and I hired Superior Yardscapes to cut our grass during our absence from Indiana. We contacted Dan Burda of Superior Yardscapes in early April, and he agreed to do the work, asking us to remind him a couple of weeks prior to our departure (at that time, we had not yet made our final travel arrangements). His exact response on April 2 was, "We can take care of your lawn while you are away. I only ask to please call or email two weeks before you leave so I can prepare the schedule to get you on the list and get everything in order." On May 11, my wife informed him of our exact travel dates and, furthermore, asked if we should make a payment for the services in advance. Dan Burda's response was, "I will invoice you after the final mowing and you can pay at that time." A final reminder to cut our grass was sent to Superior Yardscapes on July 5, the day of our departure. On July 22, our friend (who looks after our house in our absence) informed us that no mowing had been done. My wife e-mailed Dan Burda and requested an explanation. None was given, and a text message plus a phone call were left unanswered as well. Upon our return, I called Superior Yardscapes and spoke to a female employee. After having stated my complaint, she hung up on me. That's the end of it. I strongly suggest that prospective clients stay away from this company. If you agree to do a job, then you do it. If something prevents you from providing the service you promised, then you offer an explanation and suggest an alternative solution (especially if - as in our case - your clients are out of the country and, therefore, unable to remedy the situation themselves). Ignoring your clients' attempts to find out what is going on is not congruent with good business practices. Nota bene: Please spare us your standard defense of confusing you with a competitor - we do not!

I appreciated the job Superior did (and at a fair price) and am aware of no concerns between the…read moretwo of us (e.g., he was paid immediately upon completion of work), but he did not extend the professional courtesy of returning any correspondence (call, text, or email) on follow-up work and possible bid for more work. Simply disappeared for no apparent reason. Cannot recommend.
