I do a good portion of my weekly shop here as well as diving in for specifics (ie haggis for burns night!). The layout is good but they sometimes stumble with stock and things can run out if its a special occasion or a good offer. Other than this though the store is great, it has a fresh fish counter, a deli counter and a pizza counter with a butcher near it too. I miss all these actual counters with actual people in them, its just so good!. The quality of their fish and meat is what drives me to come back time and again for our sunday roast. Its of a good quality, generally you can pick a responsible piece of meat that was well treated during its life and the taste is great. Fantastic store!

Given that just across the road is what must be the largest area of concentrated wealth I've ever seen in a city of this size, I'd have thought an M&S or Waitrose would have been given the nod. Image crisis aside, Morrisons does have a few areas in which it excels, even if 9 times out of 10 I'd rather a trip to Tesco Extra. The fresh fish counter is a belter, with octopus, oysters and squid to go along with the usual haddock and cod. Some people say I'm a bit odd for loving the smell of these counters, but I don't care, and there's few greater fishy smells than that of Morrison's counter. A similar, more meat and pastry based sensory overload can be had at the pie counter. We also found some cracking buys in the DVD section, and after raking through a fairly large pile of dross, uncovered Coraline and the excellent, but oddly forgotten Brick, for 7 bucks all in. Infuriating self-service checkout aside, our visit was quite a pleasant shopping experience, topped off with an incredibly dignified old gent collecting for cancer research at the door.

It's good for basics or last minute food buys, but generally I'd prefer to pay a wee bit more and use the food hall in M&S just down the street. Tesco isn't partricularly cheap and M&S is miles better quality. Plus the queues aren't as bad.

What can you say about a chain supermarket that hasn't been said already?…read more Well I've been using this ASDA since it opened (even worked there when it opened) and it's changed a lot. It has everything from the usual clothes, food, electricals etc to a pizza counter, fish counter (in store) as well as an optician, photo processing and pharmacy (past the tills). There appear to be 3 areas dedicated to promotions. The first to the left of the Produce (fruit & veg), then in the middle of the store (till side) and then the back wall (beside the frozen food). Saying that the prices go up and down like a yo-yo so you have to watch whether things are really the best price or not, however with current competition the prices are usually on the low side. There is a "Grocery Collectuon" point at the back of the ample car park, for people who have ordered on-line and don't want to go into store (not really that busy). Overall it's like most larger size stores but not as wide a range as other stores (Govan or Cumbernauld), a good all rounder.

Ahh good old Asda! I do my weekly shop at this Asda as I find it to be the cheapest of the…read moresupermarket chains and this branch is huge. I always go in for food but spend at least 45 minutes wondering around the George section then meandering over to the books and magazines taking a detour past the DVDs and Cd's. Eventually thought I do reluctantly go and get some food. This Asda is open 24 hours which is great for me because I am an incredibly impatient shopper and can't stand crowds so I tend to go late at night when this place is more or less dead. I know the self service till things are hated by many but I love them because it means I don't need to actual speak to any of the mutant staff, phew! The only real issue I have with this Asda are the fegs, let me explain what these are. In England they have chavs but in Scotland we have neds. However in the Ferguslie area of Paisley (which is right beside this Asda branch) we have an extra strong breed of ned known as the feg. They run riff in Asda but if you go late at night but not tooooo late, say around 9 o'clock you can usually avoid them.

They had some cheap gift sets recently and various toys including in the night garden, dolls, trucks etc all at really good prices. They also stock home goods including different named sauces, packets of pasta, tins, cold meat, milk. Along with some items of clothing and cleaning products. Also in the store there were shoe racks, kettles, pots and pans so lots of various items with really good price tags. It is always busy but you never find yourself standing in the queue for too long.

B & M has a great range of products at bargain prices. They sell food, household goods, toys,…read moretoiletries and other items. They also stock end of range and seasonal items at very low prices. It is always worth a visit to find a bargain.

Another run-of-the-mill Argos store…read more With minimal displays, plenty of tills, and a bucketload of seating in the waiting area, this Argos has to be the most efficient and comfortable I've ever been in. There are always plenty of catalogues at the door and bays to have a flip through to find the codes for the products you're looking for. While the idea of Argos seems a little outdated in modern times, what with this newfangled internet technology and all, they seem to be doing well for themselves. Where else can you buy a sofa, a computer game, and an engagement ring under the same roof?! They seem to do some good deals, if you know where to find them, and it's quicker and more efficient than other Argos stores I've dealt with. Not too bad at all.
