To start, the school is extremely affordable and yet still offers unparalleled opportunity and ability for personal development. I attended here at an affordable rate, yet this university gave me many great experiences (Simply for being a student!) - access to a 3d printer - amazing concerts - free tutoring - an amazing gym with a rock wall - a huge pool - any sporting facility you can think of - foreign diplomats and artists lectures - fun events - a carnival - political and democratic events In addition, the campus is absolutely beautiful and is always expanding and growing! The university itself is old, but its tech and development is state of the art. The professors are generally helpful, fair, and very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed class and you will too (as long as you do what is required of you!) Many professors here are world class! I was taught by authors, news anchors, politicians, and world travelers... their stories were amazing. They were truly a joy to learn from. (Shoutouts: Dr. Diccico, Prof. Burris, Prof. Oppmann, Dr. Kolar, Prof. Willis, Prof. Kent) The student resources were awesome too! This university is top notch at taking care of its students. We had access to every opportunity possible. We had a Job center, clothing closet, food pantry, general stores, plenty of space to hangout, fun events, a great gym, a pool, a rock wall, mental health services, veterans services, a pharmacy, and even a clinic. (I'm sure there is more, but this is impressive alone) I would also like to say that the experiences and memories I made there were absolutely amazing. I met people from all over the world who attended here, and the quality of education I received was the best of the best. My only complaint is that they need more dorms and of a better quality.

Myself and my cohort from the Master Educators Course (class 02-18), were delighted as the great…read morepeople at Western Kentucky University (the college that facilitates the MEC) invited us to their campus last week, to join other faculty members and educators for a key note speaker from WPI (Dr. Raz) as he discussed with us project based learning. Afterwards, we all got to eat lunch at the (I'm guessing it was some kind of chow hall - please forgive my primitive Army terminology), at which tome we were joined by several of the Deans on campus whom talked to us further about our roles as educators. Oh, perhaps I forgot to mention - myself and my peers all attended the MEC for the last 6 weeks because we are all teachers at our colleges. Yes, we are all full time, active duty Army, but on special assignment, selected to be Military Science instructors at various universities across the nation. I, for example, teach all the Military Science and Leadership 200-201-202 courses for Niagara University in New York. Anyways... after lunch we had a meeting with the WKU Provost. Then, we were given a tour of the school, which included MY favorite part, the basketball arena lol. Finally, we had the opportunity to visit with Dr. Guffey, who is my cohorts Organizational Leadership Professor, and with whom we have been working with in person, and will continue to work with via distance learning for the next term. We did one summer term in person, but the fall term we have to do online, because we have to be back at our schools to teach. She's been an amazing asset to us and very instrumental in our success during the MEC (which consists of Organizational Leadership 300, Instructional Design 460 and Instructional Design 465). The campus was GORGEOUS! I was so impressed. And the fitness facilities and athletic facilities were state of the art! It's a DIV I program now, and they had DIV I facilities. Loved it. I know every place has it's own weather patterns, but the WKU campus in mid August is absolutely stunning. And I particularly liked this visit, because I'm actually a WKU student! Yuuup, I'm a Hilltopper! But being a career military man, I can't just take off and go to college for 4 years. So, all of my higher education has come via distance learning (online). WKU has a great online system set up, and they are extremely military friendly. I'm really proud to be a member and a student. I'll be earning my Masters in Org. Lead with them via their "jump program". But it's always nice to see that the online school you're attending and paying for, isn't just a call center "diploma mill" in some high rise office building in a big city. No no, WKU is as real as it gets. And such a lovely school. Go Big Red! Go Tops!

They have signage up every where to lead you in the correct direction and they have QR code's to scan and self report so you can easily flow from office to office as needed once you show proper ID & screening. Yes, it is all time consuming but they make it so much easier and the wait not bad if at all.

At this Gothic tradition, described by Jon Meacham, "...visitors come from across the South to experience classic services modeled on the choral majesty of King's College Chapel in Cambridge, England." From last year's program, "In this service we present the double meaning of the Advent season. From the West Door, the Responsory of ancient Matins on Advent Sunday announces the hope of Messiah. Then, the Choir and Chancel party will move in procession from west to east, illustrating the theme "from darkness to light." The subsequent readings and music direct attention to the coming of Messiah, and further, to the Second Coming at the End of the Age. The Christian Church lives between these two points: the first, Christmastide with the incarnation of the Son of God, and the second, His coming again to judge and to recreate His universe." At this service, All Saints is decked out with beautiful poinsettias and the Priest dispenses incense. The stained glass windows are absolutely stunning and the chapel is beautiful! Lessons and Carols annually attracts nearly 3000 people to Sewanee! 2025 will be the 66th Festival of Lessons and Carols! When I have attended tickets were free and it's really important to arrive early, as their is always a line to enter this especially beautiful chapel for this service! The Course at "Sewanee" golf course is absolutely lovely, too! It is a nine hole golf course that was redesigned in 2013. It opened for play in 1915. Thanks, Sewanee for 13,000 beautiful Tennessee acres, and the annual "A Festival Service of Nine Lessons and Carols."

The parking is limited and the satellite parking is located at the Liberty Park location about three quarters of the way from the college.
