Came here for a quick pit stop after visiting the international peace garden before we had to go to the airport. My husband loves Culver's from growing up in the east coast, and it was my first time, it didn't disappoint! I got the turtle sundae, and my husband got the mint chocolate custard, both $5-6 ish. I usually love culvers for their cod, but when I was in Salt Lake City, this was the absolute worst Culvers I have ever been to in my life! I did take pictures and when you look at the pictures, you will see that I am wearing gloves because I do want you to see the detail in the photographs. now I understand that staff gets busy and overwhelmed but you do have to delegate and make sure everyone pulls their weight. because in my opinion, the owner is at fault in this establishment. OK well let's start at the beginning. I went to the drive-through to get some fish for dinner. I ordered a two piece entrée no sides. The guy was genuinely nice, or so he seemed.....the drive-thru line was entirely too long. The wait time was 27 minutes! Going back to the first part of my review, when I said, I ordered the fish, that reminds me, they also were out of tartar sauce. I just don't understand as your management team. I went to Culver's my first time at the location in Bountiful, UT in April 2024. I ordered a burger and discovered that you get no condiments unless you ask and pay more. The place must be very popular because the line at the drive-up was very long. I got my burger in a reasonable amount of time and thought the service was good. The burger not so much. The buns were soggy and completely saturated with fat and was quite expensive. It was disgusting and did not taste very good. Maybe other items taste better but I am afraid to go back. read more

Okay, so I see the negative reviews. And by my very Karen-y email I sent to the manager of this location, they know I was ready to be amongst the negative reviews. Instead I come here with a mostly positive review after a negative experience. We don't have Culvers in the area I live, so when we go someplace that has it, I stock up to bring it home to my kids. Culvers chicken tenders reheat amazingly well! So, we ordered 2 8piece tenders to take home for our kids, and 1 4piece tender for me to eat for lunch that day (for a total of 20 pieces). I placed the order and paid using their website for convenience. We went in, grabbed our order and everything seemed in line. One bag with my 4 piece and my husbands burger, 1 bag filled with what appeared to be my 2 8 pieces of chicken tenders. The food we ate for lunch that day tasted great and we had zero issues. Used the restrooms in the restaurant, which were clean, and overall had no complaints. Now I'll own that I should have double checked the bag, but I was sick and we had a seven hour drive ahead of us and I just wanted to get home. Anyway, get home that night and go to transfer the food from our cooler to the fridge and that's when I realize we were given two four pieces instead of two eight pieces. Essentially, we were shorted an entire 8 piece order. I wrote to the company via their survey and waited a few days with no response. I then had my husband call and explain. We simply wanted a refund for the missing item, that was it. We were told by the person on the phone that they only would refund us in person. Regardless that we ordered online and we lived 7 hours away. This had me FUMING. I wrote a scathing email through the Culvers website, threatening a dispute and leaving negative reviews. I mean yeah, I went full Karen, I'm sorry to admit it. shockingly though (to me) not two hours later, I got a response from the manager via email. He admitted there must have been a misunderstanding and that they indeed would refund me my 8 piece since I paid online and didn't need to come back in person. I appreciated the response and was overall happy with the resolution. About two hours later I got my refund confirmation - he had refunded the ENTIRE order, not just the missing item. I admit after a rough week and being super bummed about losing out on my extra chicken (like I said guys, we live 7 hours to the closest Culvers and it's my favourite food), I cried at that act of niceness. especially given i wasn't exactly kind in my email to the restaurant. So, I wanted to spend some time today to give this place a bit of praise. Because at least for me, they went above and beyond to make the issue right and I really appreciate it. read more

The worst corn dog I have had in my life! I asked twice for mustard and ketchup. The guy who handed me the bag said there was ketchup and mustard, but there wasn't. The corn dog was awful. We waited forty five minutes while the teenagers working complained about doing their jobs. The cashier left and went who knows where while about fifteen of us waited around with a pile of food prepared waiting to be served. Cashier came and cleared the order and began serving people that came after us, she finally mumbled to my wife and my wife approached and was asked what she ordered it had apparently been cleared, not served, and left in the back somewhere. It was a sandwich and an ice cream now served completely melted and soupy. Save your money and go elsewhere. 20 minutes for a five dollar cup of soup. I actually had to ask for it to go, because it took so long. They gave me straight up bad attitude. (Pretty sure it's the same employee that Amelia m wrote about on her review two weeks ago) All the orders were sitting there ready to be delivered, but the employee who was doing the delivering, couldn't figure out the number system. It appeared that no one in the restaurant was being served. Mist of the 10 customers were asking where their order was, or coming back with incorrect orders. I could not figure out which employee was the manager, because they all looked confused. As I was walking to my car I started to realize that if the service was that bad, how could the food be any better? Well I was right. Whoever made the pre made, frozen soup, added way too much water and it tasted just like water. Threw it away after one taste. Obviously no one has trained these employees. To bad for Culver's. I was skeptical at first. This butter burger thing sounded horrible. However, sometimes names can be deceiving and I was very impressed by the time I left. My coworker brought me here for lunch because he loves their custard. Of course I had to see what the buzz was about. I ordered the cheddar butter burger meal with cheese curds as a side. The burger was made fresh to order with my toppings of choice. The burger itself was thin and I can see why there are so many "double" burgers on the menu. The burger was flavorful and not too dry. I have never had fried cheese curds before and this seemed unique so I gave it a try. Not bad. A mix of yellow and white cheddar curds breaded and fried perfectly crispy. The drink selection was very ample, with both sweetened and unsweetened tea available. They even had strawberry soda on the fountain selection. After looking at my receipt, I noticed I could get free custard for filling out a survey. CHA CHING! I jumped on my phone and filled out the survey and got a code. I ordered a small dish of the flavor of the day, which happened to be caramel fudge cookie dough. This was the best custard I have ever tasted. It was deliciously smooth, soft and you could really taste the egg in this fresh delight. Free stuff always rates high on my yelp reviews. Also, they had a cooler full of pints of various concretes that you could take to go. Not a bad idea. Looking around this place, I noticed it was immaculate and there was a small army of employees washing windows and wiping up the floors and tables. The service is very friendly and they bring the food to your table with a smile. When you bus your table, I couldn't help to notice they had plastic recycling. I can't tell you how happy that made me and wish other places cared that much about the waste they create. As I was leaving I noticed how nice and cheery their landscaping and window planters looked. One of our friends posted a picture of the cheese curds on her facebook wall a few months before our trip so I was looking forward to this place with eager anticipation! The cheese curds were as good as I could have hoped- what's not to love about deep fried cheese? The custard was good as well. I love how they have so many toppings you can choose from to create your own dessert! Also nice is their flavor of the day for those who aren't so creative or can't make a decision on what ingredients they'd like to blend! The only thing we didn't like about this place was the burger. We ordered a mushroom swiss burger and when it came out, I didn't know what to think. You could smell that it was burnt and it did have a burnt crusty edge. Also, it was the thinnest hamburger patty I've ever seen, about the thickness of about 3 slices of sandwich lunchmeat. Sad. Thankfully we ordered a double patty. Wow, inexcusably filthy and disgusting. There was a bunch of white crud (mold??) coming out of the Coke dispenser, which was also leaking. None of the tables were clean. Staff was oblivious and I had to repeat my order at least 3 times to the cashier because of a language barrier. This is the first time I've been to a Culvers that has been completely disgusting - all my other experiences at Culvers at other locations have been wonderful, but I will definitely never return to this location. The two workers behind the counter just stood there and chatted, ignoring customers, meanwhile the entire eating area was disgusting with not even one clean table - how do you even justify that? Just leave your conversation for a couple minutes and wipe down some tables, it's what you're being paid to do! The way you present yourself also matters - I wish I had just left the restaurant instead of ordering at all, but when your cashiers can't even be bothered to do basic hygiene and grooming to show up to their public facing job, I don't especially want them handling my food. So, bad decision on my part to go ahead and place the order even after being squicked out. I'm still kicking myself for the decision I made to go here and pay for food from someone I probably wouldn't let into my house to cook for me, let alone pay them to do so. Gross. Never coming back to this location again, there's just no excuse to just hang out and chat while letting your entire restaurant be filthy and disgusting. This is my favorite fast food joint. Their focus is on the dairy. Great cheese, great custard and Midwest inspired flavor. It's really scrumptious. I love their pot roast sandwich! It comes with your choice of steak sauce, horseradish or both. So yummy! You can't go wrong with a concrete mixer or shake either. Also, you can take a pint of custard to go if you prefer your desert later! One thing I really love is that they have recycling in their facility too! That tells me that they care about the environment which is really important to me! All in all, they're pretty great! read more

My granddaughters Sierra Mist was straight carbonation. My husband went in to get a different drink. We received our order got home to eat and the burger Pattie's were BURNT! I think they were on the grill the entire time we were waiting for our food. I am very disappointed with the quality and feel like we threw $30.00 away that night. Good food!! Lots and lots of options. Fried this, fried that, grilled something and a couple salads. Ice cream and concrete flavors and topping combos out the wahzoo. What I have tried was very good. I once had a oreo concrete mini mixer. My daughter's lunch came with a free scoop. She got chocolate and loved it, I enjoyed the couple bites I stole. Stealing ice cream from a kid never tasted so good. Service can be slower than cold molasses, inside and drive thru, so make sure you get there before the lunch rush if that's about the time you're looking for grub. read more

Customer service is terrible, first off when we went the first time we weren't greeted instead the lady with with ginger hair looks at us and rolls her eyes doesn't even try to make it low key. She made it obvious so we could see her rolling her eyes. Then she was complaining to her other co-worker with black hair and was light skin how she felt like she was working on a 15 hr shift and still had her back towards us. After waiting for 5min when there was no one in the lobby the lady with the black hair decided to take out order and they both just looked unhappy to be there. Like if you guys don't like working there you should really find another job. I think Culver's is one of the better chain burger spots. We don't have them in LA so I do enjoy eating here when I need a quick burger.This location has always delivered good fresh burgers that are on point. I like asking people what their top five burger spots are. The qualifier is that it has to be their main burger and not a gourmet burger. It's a great game to find some hidden burger joints. All that being said Culver's may make it to my top five for chain burgers. The shakes are delicious make sure you get one, you won't regret it. My son ordered while I was in the restroom. There is no running water in ladies bathroom. A hand sanitizer dispenser station is there instead. There was no sign stating faucet is broken. Asked the cashier about how long have they had no running water in the ladies bathroom, and she replied, "2 weeks." If my son had not already paid and received his food, I would've walked out. Lobby is nasty, trash bins full, tables not clean, garbage and stains all over the floor. This is unacceptable. There needs to be a hand wash station in the darn bathroom!
