Did a drive thru. My moms hamburger is going to be cold by the time they come back to the car with the strawberry shake. They also forgot the water for my salad. Not quite on top of things. Told me to wait in my car and they'd bring the shake out to me and that they would give it to me as apparently I wasn't charged for it. I offered to drive around and pay for it to pick it up and they said no that's OK. We'll just bring it to the car. They never did. I had to call the restaurant then a guy came out to my car without the shake and told me I had to go back around and pay for it, which is fine. I offered to do that 10 minutes ago. Disappointed. My friends (well at least on of them) are obsessed with Culver's and this was literally our first stop after getting our rental car after flying in. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the staff were really friendly as they took our order and delivered it to our tables after we ordered. We ordered a variety of items and made sure to get plenty of cheese curds. The food was all delicious and we ended up leaving stuffed. The burger and the cheese curds are definitely a must. We also noticed how cute the packaging is and that depending on which items you get the packaging all has different fun sayings on them. read more

The food is very consistent and always good. I have especially enjoyed their fish dinner and sandwich. The service is always good too even when you have to wait. They will always open a new spot if they have the people to cover the area. I'm always impressed by the friendliness of Culver staff, and this location in particular! Everyone was friendly and so speedy! There was no wait to order and my meal came out quickly. I love Culver's! Ever since I was little, I have gone to this location. I've even had friends that used to work here. Perfect place for kids to go to Hang out with their friends, grab a quick bite after visiting Six Flags, or just coming in for some custard. I enjoy getting either their butter cheeseburgers, a scoop of custard, or the fish baskets. This time, I got a butter cheeseburger (just the burger) and their maple pecan custard. Both were delicious! The maple in the custard is very light and not overpowering. Think of it like their take on a butter pecan ice cream, but so much better! Lots of whole pecans in every bite. Yummmm the Colby Jack Pub double burger is very good for a $6 burger. Of course as the name suggests it has Colby jack cheese in it with little crisps of fried onion rings, very good it adds a delicious texture and flavor to a good burger Not to be confused with some of the other premium burgers but non the less very tasty and a great value. For a fast food chain, Culver's is not bad! My favorite is their cod filet sandwich. Crispy on the outside and the fish is tender on the inside. The bread, mayo, lettuce and cheese gives it a nice flavor to it. Although just the sandwich itself is close to $6, it is worth it! Oh and don't forget about their crinkle fries!!! I wish they offer cheese fries. It would be a perfect combo! Although I'm sure you will be eating a whole days worth of calories lol. I avoid getting drinks there because it is not carbonated enough for me compared to places like McDonalds. And their Sprite / 7UP equivalent, Sierra Mist taste like crap... Their burger is a little disappointing as well. The pickle they put on there is sour and doesn't really go well with the burger. I'm a huge fan of the drive thru for hot fudge sundaes, caramel cashew sundaes, hot fudge pecan sundaes, and even their seasonal pumkin spice shakes. It's really too bad that I'm lactose intolerant! Otherwise, when I'm in the mood for takeout fish and chips, I love the cod dinners. Sometimes in the summer, they'll feature walleye as well. You can order a two or three piece fish dinner and substitute mashed potatoes, green beans, or sweet potato fries for regular fries and you can even switch out the cole slaw for a small side salad with dressing. Being from out-of-state, I've tried all sorts of ice cream and frozen yogurt, but never frozen custard! As a self-proclaimed ice cream enthusiast, Culver's has a wide selection of frozen custards, fast food, shakes, pretty much all things that will raise your cholesterol. But just every once in a while, Culver's is a nice treat. The only thing I get here is the frozen custard: Mini Concrete Mixer (comes with two free toppings) with: 1. Vanilla Frozen Custard 2. Brownie bites 3. Kit Kat Total cost: ~$3 I prefer the ice cream FINELY blended instead of being really chunky so I always ask upon ordering to make it REALLY REALLY REALLY Blended. Otherwise I feel as though they just threw in some kitkats and brownie chunks whole and called it a day. After having some good and bad experiences with Culver's, I can conclude that I like Culver's when I want variety from ice cream and can't get Scooters Frozen Custard downtown. We are all fans of Culver's and since my daughter and I were lost going to Milwaukee Wisconsin because of all the construction, we ended up stopping at the Culver's in Gurnee when we were starving. We ordered the butter cheeseburger and french fries meal. We were bad girls. But, oh, yummy! The burgers were fresh, the fries were cooked perfectly and great with lots of ketchup! Then, on the way out, we ordered custard cones for the road. Then, traffic was much improved and we reached Milwaukee within the half hour. So our first experience was a little painful. The food was great don't get me wrong and obviously came back. But in drive-thru we had at least a dozen cars pass us and yes, that means their orders were placed and delivered after ours. So after 12 minutes I called, yes from drive-thru and mentioned the situation and it was "on its way." Well, I wouldn't say quite in its way as another 8 minutes passed at least. Who isn't a fan of cheese that's deep fried. For real. I've only tried the burgers as far as sandwiches go, but the other stuff looks good too. They have tons of great desserts and I love finding out what the custard flavor of the day is. A little variety never hurt anyone. I am boycotting this Culvers! A bunch of lazy teenagers working there that could give a rats ass on wether or not you got your food. Not only did it take extremely long when there were only 3 customers in there, when the food was ready it just sat in the holding tray while the so called workers just stood around and talked about rearranging their work schedule. We had to interupt them, all 4 of them, so someone could give us our food.
