The Gurnee location is clean and spacious. The team is friendly and attentive to the request. Our assistant was Idris. We were in and out in no time, and the place was steady. There were tables in the front and down a narrow hallway for sitting and eating as well as washrooms down the hallway. That area is more narrow than that of the lobby. The new product is posted clearly for viewing. The menu is large and clear and posted in different areas. The portion sizes are good and presentation is nice. Flavor is delicious. We took ours to go. They add almost any ingredient you want to it if you want any and they always pack a little extra in the containers. They stuff them full every time and I do mean full. Any person telling you they know a better ice cream shop hopefully is telling you about some local place because there is no chain of ice cream stores that does it better. You often hear strange people saying the ice cream at Cold Stone is too sweet for them, don't hang out with those weirdos. Ice cream is supposed to be sweet and creamy. Don't know how this place gets a 5 star review. Must be friends and relatives getting free ice cream, getting paid to write reviews and getting other services in the back that can't be mentioned here. Eight dollars for a doughnut hole size scoop of ice cream in a bowl. Cones are extra. Mix ins that are advertised as being included in the price are extra. A normal size scoop or a second small scoop is extra. If you want anything that looks like the picture of ice cream cones on the signs in the store, you will be paying almost fifteen dollars. The only thing included on the base price is a paper cup and the insolent attitude of the servers. No ice cream is that good. read more
