When I went the first thing I noticed was how inviting the place was with the fun choice of music and how warm they kept it inside. I also really enjoy the layout of the bar. There are lots of little rooms, each with 3 to 5 tables which makes it perfect for a more private evening out, or you can also enjoy yourself at their classy bar. Naturally there is also space if you want to go out with a group of friends or have a happy hour with your work buddies. They even have karaoke, fun! There pisco sour was just yummy and they have some great things to nibble on as well. They cheese platter is beautifully arranged with salami and several artisanal cheeses. I tried their manchas a la parmesana (clams baked with parmesan cheese) which were not the best I've had, but good. Their empanadas we just fine as well the only strange thing is that they were served on a plate and covered in plastic rap (maybe a mishap). All in all a nice chill bar to spend an evening.

First, this place is OPEN as of Fall 2022 (early summer in Chile) when I visited (late November…read more2022). I loved this place. Not only does this wine bar have the most extensive by-the-glass list I found anywhere in Santiago, they are also one of only two wine bars that keeps all of their wines in a temperature controlled area (very important--as most places don't have AC in Chile). All of the food I had was great--but my top favorites were the applewood smoked salmon, the loco plate, and the short ribs. I really enjoyed being able to try new wines from small, boutique producers in Chile (this is something you can only do in a few places in Santiago) and get recommendations from the really knowledgeable owner as well as the fact that they include a little tag on each glass so that you can keep track of what each wine in front of you is, if you do a flight of half glasses of wine like I did. The two best places for wines-by-the-glass and the best selection of wines from smaller producers are Bocanariz and Barrica94. No wine lover should leave Santiago without visiting both of these places.

It is a great place to go for a drink and dance after dinner in Bellavista. Very fun and easy going crowd with great music by both international and Chilean DJ's as well as live bands (a great escape from all the reggaeton which is so popular in chile). They have two dance floors and one is more tecno focused while the other is funk mixed with classic pop (depending on the night). I have always had a great time here and my friends and I have danced until the wee hours of the night. They also have great cocktails and happy hour - they even have servers up until around 12am where you will then have to fight your way to one of the bars. Tip: Bring your ID - I know that is a given, but I have gotten super lax about it and if you don't have one on you, the bouncers wont let you in. Also, if you come before 11pm you can get in free - otherwise you will have to pay. Keep an eye out on their Twitter or FB page as a lot of times you can get in free by adding yourself to the guest list.

This is a great restaurant in a fun part of Santiago…read more I have been enjoying pisco cocktails throughout Chile, and the cocktails here were fantastic. Over a couple of visits I was able to try: La Enjundia De Diablo, Cotrabando, Temporada, and Pisco is in the air. Truthfully the first two were preferred, more spicy than sweet. The second two were like smoothies with alcohol-also delicious, just hot differently. They were well presented and fabulous. For meals we had the steak and chimichurri, good if you love a big steak- a little too much for us. The beef and lentils were delicious and perfect for a cold winter evening. The next meals we tried were the cuttlefish croquettes which were very good, like a Japanese octopus ball. Great sauces. Then the fish of the day-Hake- with whipped potatoes(I think) and capers with veggies-outstanding. We also had a very good, filling, fish sandwich. I liked the sweet potatoes, a unique touch. The service was attentive without overdoing it. The first night when we came in everyone said hello, which made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was fun, hipster, and inviting. So glad our hotel was nearby, couldn't have asked for a better restaurant to be near.

For a very reasonable price, you also get a pisco sour, water/soda/wine, an appetizer (fried cauliflower with beets), and coffee. The pisco sour was very refreshing and tart. Ambiance is really cute inside and they have nice outdoor seating as well.

This is technically a gay bar but I like to go with my girl friends or my guy friends for some cheap drinks and to get the night going with something a little different. They have a variety of seating from a typical round table, to cozy pillow covered benches. The lighting is low and very party like.

I hardly know where to begin. Noisy. Smoke filled. Lots of statuesque women with ruby lips…read more (Appearance was clearly given far higher priority than intelligence when hiring wait staff.) Essentially, this is a bar that serves some food ... badly. Menu is entirely in Spanish -- and while they do provide an iPad with most menu items translated (poorly) into English, none of the waitresses speak a word of English -- so when we made a selection, they weren't sure what we were ordering, and entered the wrong item into their system. We ordered a large salad and a "platter" entree, both to share. The salad arrived, but with the wrong entree ... which they took back, and didn't bother to reorder the correct one! We found this out only after waiting 45 minutes for the correct entree, only to discover that it was never going to arrive. Rather than wait another hour, we bailed. Don't eat here. You can probably get a decent drink or glass of wine (I don't know for sure, as I don't drink alcohol) -- but if it's food you're after, go around the corner to Juan y Medio, or down the street to Ocean Pacific or Los Vikingos.
