If this doctor is still practicing, people should know about my family's experience with him. In the 1980s and 1990s, my mother was his patient. One of the issues she was dealing with was her heart. She had episodes of a very fast heart rhythm and frequent skipped beats (not simple palpitations). She repeatedly asked him to refer her to a cardiologist.
While he eventually did make a referral, he also told her that she needed to see a psychiatrist. She told him she was not going to do that. He responded by telling her that if he said she needed to, then she would.
As it turned out, my mother had atrial fibrillation that went undiagnosed for years. During that time she spent thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Eventually she had to undergo surgery for the atrial fibrillation. Her heart has since been damaged, and her heart function is now at 38%.
I even remember going to appointments with her when I was 16 years old because she was worried about how he treated her and wanted someone there with her.
