She is so compassionate and truly listens to her patients. I am so impressed by her memory as well. She pays attention to details and her desire to help her patients is very evident. Not only is Dr. Trabolsi amazing, but so is her staff and environment. At the York Street location, she has fabulous medical assistants. One specifically, Karen, is so professional, warm, and remembers me every time I am there! The ladies at the front desk are friendly and efficient, and the office is spotless. Anytime I send a mychart message or call, I get a response faster than expected. I highly recommend Dr. Trabolsi as a primary care physician, you will not be disappointed.

I was rather disappointed and am continuing my search for a PCP. Without question, she's thorough…read morebut in my view, not to understand your needs but to find items to bill for and document even when it's not anything you addressed directly or requested. I was shocked to read her write up which was misleading and other than what we discussed. When I used the patient portal to seek clarification and call out this was in no way anything we discussed, it was modified to prescribe iron which was something I told her a prior treating physician recommended. What I also found odd was she "asked where was I from" out of the blue, I answered and assuming positive intent, I returned the question and was told "she's from another country". Huh?! I refused to ask what country because I took offense to her asking a question she wouldn't personally answer. The search continues....

I appreciated all the great reviews of Dr. Boyd and after weeks and weeks of trying to find a…read moredoctor I think I can trust, they helped me decide she was the doctor for me. So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

Truth be told, I prefer younger, female, Family Docs (as opposed to Internal Medicine) - just as personal preference - but she's absolutely lovely. Kind. Attentive. Concerned. All the things you want in a GP. Oh - and one last thing: At my previous practice, there would be a HUGE wait - I mean, HOURS. (But heaven forbid you be more than 10 minutes late...they would cancel your appointment.) Not so with Dr. Boyd. I never feel rushed, either. She's genuinely a good MD. Seriously.
