You are situated within the centro and within walking distance of the old town. The location is very safe (as is pretty much all of Murcia) and conveniently located practically next door to the Corte Ingles. There is a Hertz rental car agent situated within the hotel lobby should you want to rent a car during your stay. The staff is extremely pleasant, competent, and accommodating. The reasons I provided a lower rating are that the hotel is definitely dated. While some rooms may be updated, ours (small but very clean) had scuffed furniture, scratched and peeling floors, and uncaulked/cracked tiling in the bathroom. Additionally, although the hotel says that it is non-smoking, the halls at times reeked of smoke, and whether this was from guests violating the rules or smoke seeping into the walls through previous decades of smoking, who knows? Our room did not smell like smoke though, so that was good. There was no iron in the room. When we called the front desk, an iron was immediately delivered to our room but when we asked about an ironing board the maid said there were no ironing boards and we should use the bed but be careful not to burn it haha! Ok... In the bathroom, there is a neat set-up with a built-in hair dryer, but the hair dryer did not work. I went down to the front desk, with my wet hair, to request a hair dryer and was promptly provided one that worked fine. The next morning after taking a shower, I went to grab the hair dryer and it was gone! Cleaning had taken it away. I had to call for another hair dryer (which was promptly delivered). I then left a note on the hair dryer not to remove it. Beds and linens were very comfortable but do take note that a room for two consists of two twin beds pushed together. Towels were very thin and scratchy and bathroom soaps and shampoos were not the best quality. Breakfast is an option but we did not try it. The daily rate was very expensive. It did look like good quality, however. Our room did have a lovely view over the park, the air conditioning worked (which is crucial in Murcia during the hot days), and the location was very good. On future trips, we will first look at Airbnbs again, although if there were no other options we would stay here again. The hotel could really do with a full renovation.

Upon closer scrutiny, this place is quite clean with fresh paint in the rooms and new tiling in bathrooms and room floors. The refrigerators actually cool your drinks and the air conditioning works well in this climate of hot southern Spain. The staff are very accommodating. They offer a continental breakfast for a bit more per night although the owners are associated with the bar/restaurant next door on the corner. The bar is very popular which is a good sign of good food. Otherwise the rooms are basic. It's location is a bit south of the port of Torrevieja with beach access (3 blocks) to Playa de Los Naufragos. This is outside the breakwater of the port and is much less crowded than the beaches next to the boardwalk and La Mata. Parking is on the street but it is a quiet community and there is always space close by.

I had some issues at the beginning with the reservation ( connected rooms were not really connected) but the staff was made aware and I could change rooms 2 days later. For the troubled start we got fruits on the room. The gym and the rooms are in good shape and clean. Room service is also available and the cleaning maids take good care of your room. Another little issue we had was with the key cards. Or they did not open the Gym, or they did not open the garage or even the room. The staff told us it could be that we are leaving the key card close to the cel phone. But we did not do this. Anyhow staff was pleasant and always solved the little issues during our stay.

No, this is not a genetics lab, you arrived in the hotel. Pronounced "donya", shortened from "Doña". Means "Ms. Monse". They add "Golf" to their name sometimes. True, there are several golf courses around but there's no immediate access to any of them. They are some 10 minutes drive from here. You will have to drive to other places too - beaches, shopping centers, Torrevieja city center. The hotel is new, everything is clean, nothing is broken, WiFi works perfectly. There are several cafes, including one with a swimming pool on the roof top - Cafe Pink. Pricey comparing to anything around. Beer - €5. SPA. Prices start from €15 (1.5 hour of sauna, jacuzzi, hot tubs). There's a gym too. Bottom line: great new hotel with reasonable prices offering many amenities. One of the few places in town where everything is new, clean and in perfect working order. Not your typical worn out Costa Blanca :)

I recommend it even if you live elsewhere. The hotel is some 20 minutes walk from the city center. The nearest beach is about 850 m away (7 minutes walk).
