We ordered 7 new appliances from them more then 6 months ahead of time so they would have plenty of time to order everything. Of the 7, one didn't work at all -- took two weeks to get it replaced. There was a feature I told them very specifically I did NOT want -- it was there. The stove was not what I ordered, but since they had nothing at their store that I wanted, they refused to do anything about it. One item did not have a handle, one item had not been leveled. When my son-in-law tried to level it, he discovered there was a back wheel missing. That was a month ago -- still no back wheel. Unfortunately, it is about the only place to order appliances in this town. Maybe that's why they don't seem to care if their customers are satisfied. read more

For more than 2 months, a range that was delivered has been leaking propane. Cullen's has been completely dismissive of the claims and constantly blaming other people. They failed to convert the range to propane from natural gas (as they adamantly stated would be completed) and tried to blame the gas company. The gas company came out and was able to definitively determine that it was, in fact, the range and Cullen's basically refuses to fix it. Meanwhile, the range continues to leak propane in the home and Cullen's has completely dismissed these claims and here we are months later with a range that still leaks propane. I would absolutely never purchase any appliances from this place. read more

They sold a natural gas only 12 k $ stove and installed it where only LP Gas is available and would not fix it. They knew better yet went ahead for the sale. Horrible customer service. Will never buy another item there. Rff read more

Refrigerator failed. Found one I liked on Cullen's website. THEY ARE CLOSED ON FRIDAY! No point in driving 30 miles one way to look the options over. They just lost a $1900 sale. read more

We have been doing business with Cullen's for many years. In fact, 4 generations of our family have been buying products from them. We have purchased washing machines, dryers, multiple dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners and other assorted appliances over the years. Last fall we purchased a very expensive dishwasher and when the plumber opened the box to install it, he found that the door was badly damaged and the control panel was broken beyond repair. The outside box showed no damage so it is a mystery how this happened. Cullen's response? Too bad. Since it was not installed within the 48 hour warrantee window, we were out of luck. $700 down the toilet and these guys could care less. These are not reputable folks. As much as I like to buy locally, I will NOT be buying appliances from these guys ever again. read more

They always have the best prices on the big name appliances. I'm a KitchenAid fan, and these guys beat any internet based seller I found. I don't have to worry about shipping hassles, returning products across the country, or calling a sales call center with questions. It's my go to one stop shop for new construction homes and I recommend them to friends when they need upgrades. read more

After getting a second home in Alexandria and expanding it three times we've finally moved here full time. Because of the renovating we did we had very specific requirements for appliances. Everything we wanted was specific and we didn't need advice because we had owned the appliances we were ordering in San Francisco, one of our previous homes. We were told that it was simply stupid that we would be looking at those appliances and we should look at what they have in stock. They quoted us $3500 for a Bosch washer and dryer (the ones we wanted) and I simply walked away. We don't need people that know nothing about what they're selling and then over charge on top of it. Instead we purchased online (something I prefer not to do but in this case, in this limited area what's the choice?) and we received the washer and dryer we wanted, in addition an amazing Bosch range included for under $3000 delivered. Just because we live in a small town does not mean we won't shop around and ensure we're not getting screwed. We didn't and now I'm happy. Just last Monday a new dishwasher arrived at our doorstep. It's a Bosch, too. Didn't even check Cullen's because I'd never shop there again. read more

I completely agree with David J's review. We did a complete remodel of our kitchen, spending mega dollars with Cullen's for counters, flooring, etc. When it came to getting the new appliances, I asked Cullen's for a quote. I had done some research on-line and had a ballpark figure in mind of what it should cost as I had specific brands and styles picked out. I was shocked when I saw the quote they gave me! I took the model #s from their quote and went to Sears. Sears came in $1000 less and they weren't even on sale! My advice would be to shop elsewhere, or at least compare prices before buying through Cullen's. read more

Cullen's built our home in 2012. We have had water seeping into the basement through a egress window since moving in in 2013. We have notified Cullen's on several different occasions. Only band-aids have been added to the window as water continues coming in. Even after talking with one of the owners nothing has been done to fix the problem. After a year of trying to resolve this issue I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Hopefully something can be donw. read more
