Culinary Crafts catered two of the evening events I attended during last week's 3-day business interchange in Utah. The first at the site of Utah Olympic Park which nicely utilized a wide, multiple level distribution of indoor and outdoor space, and the second at Rendezvous Ranch in Uinta Mountains' Weber Canyon. Turned off by cole slaw back in the late 1970s as a result of my elementary school cafeteria's interpretation of the dish, I was encouraged by the personable Mary Crafts herself to try her version made with dried cranberries, candied pecans and (I think) blue cheese. I indulged several servings paired with the alcohol which was readily available: Outdoor beer coolers, along with Flying Ace All Star trampolinists, greeted us when we stepped off the busses; a full bar on the first floor of the Joe Quinney Winter Sports Center, and wine bar in the upstairs Eccles Olympic Museum. Club membership not required for that vodka collins. Vegetarian diets were factored into both event menus, in both the appetizers that the very attentive and very easy-on-the-eyes servers floated around on garnished trays, and in the full course buffet style meal served at Rendezvous Ranch. Plated desserts were laid out in advance on the tables which were dressed with several style serving glasses for filling with several choice beverages. I don't attend catered events often, and probably wouldn't notice tiny slips because I'm not looking for them, and I'm not a helpless guest, but the staff was always there, whisking one thing away and swooping in with more of something else and I never had to consider how and where to dispose of an empty glass. Best of all, there was never a shortage of food -- fresh, varied, and innovative. My only minor suggestions: 1) Provide a reference menu and display on the buffet table for easy identification of side dishes. 2) The 1st and 2nd floors of the Winter Sports Center could have been integrated a bit better. Those of us who are wanderers by nature found the 2nd floor and the secret side door exit to the best platform for viewing the freestyle aerialists, but the majority missed the offerings and exhibits of this floor altogether.

Expected something a bit more elevated for the price. Taste and presentation were excellent, however.

They really hit a home run for us at a recent event. Went above and beyond to help make the event as flawless as possible.

I work for a university and we frequently order lunches for our students (40+ people). They arrive on time every time and the orders have been accurate. We always have a few gluten free students and Beehive has tailored their lunch orders for those students (they also labeled the gluten free orders which was so nice). Ordering for a large number of people can be daunting, but I know that Beehive is reliable and they make my life 10x easier. I should also mention that their food is EXTREMELY good. Sometimes catering companies are not that great, but Beehives food has been amazing every time. There has not been one thing we ordered that we did not like. It truly is gourmet and you can tell that a lot of thought goes into the menus. Their team is very communicative. I had some last minute changes on delivery and they were easy to work with and got back to me in a timely manner. I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been to a "tiny art show" where they catered some amazing hors d'oeuvres. I decided during quarantine to try out their lunch special. I got tomato basil soup and a chicken club sandwich! It was delightful. It was easy to pick up and I was able to pay via square!

There were some…read moreunpleasant experience but they were willing to take responsibilities and offered partial refund. Here is a full story: We initially chose them because their event coordinator Amanda was very responsive on all communication and the meals they presented on tasting. Amanda remained professional which we felt grateful. However, the food that we actually got served on the wedding day was not the same. The chicken was very moist, saucy, and bigger portion during the tasting, but on the day was dry and small. During the tasting, we were amazed on this pesto mash potato that they created for us, which was one of the reasons that we decided on their service, was not even served on the wedding day. They offered to refund the cost of the potato and some of the chicken to us, which was appreciated. The other part of their service that needs improvement is the bar-tending service. We had an open bar and we purchased a considerable amount of alcohol, thinking that they will last the whole night. However, when it was the time for our champagne toast, my husband and I did not even get any champagne because they were out already... From our guests, we learned that the portion of the drinks that were served was not handled professionally. Overall, I'd still recommend to at least give them a call if you are looking for a catering service because they were being responsive and responsible.

I loved that we could completely customize the menu to exactly what we wanted. A lot of other caterers we looked at just had set menus you couldn't change. We were married at the Brigham Young Farmhouse at This is the Place, so we stuck with a farmhouse theme for the food. We had ranch style chicken, roasted red potatoes, a super yummy carrot and apple dish, salad, rolls with homemade jam, three different lemonades, and pie for dessert! Our guests loved the food! They even had gluten free meals ready for our friends and family who couldn't have gluten! I would recommend them to anyone and if I ever need a caterer in the future we are definitely using Good Day!
