This restaurant is a family owned seafood restaurant with exceptionally fresh and well prepared fish. It is located off of the beaten track, in an older part of town. It is not near the Malacon, but is a short 20 minute walk. The decor is simple, with the restaurant spread out over two rooms, one a step up from the other. The server brought out a tray with examples of the local fresh catch of the day plus a lobster from the Carribean. One can see the exact portion size. The selection included whole, fresh-caught, Red Snapper and Bass, as well as fillets of those, salmon, and other fish.
We visited with our 80+ year old cousins, one of whom has been a fished around the world for most of his life. He is quite partiular about eating fresh fish and, for whole Red Snapper, his holy grail, it's preparation. Cuetos did not dissapoint! They offered three different ways to prepare the fish, plus four different sauce treatments. Our cousin said and I agree, having ordered the identical fish and preparation, that it was perfection.
One of our guests is a small eater and the restaurant offered her a half order of the one of the lobster tails. The full order is two tails. She was given all of the sides but only one tail, at close to 50% off.
We had such a wonderful experience that we are going back a second time during our one-week stay in PV.
In summary, the restaurant does not look like much from the outside, but it topped any other seafood restaurant we have eaten at in PV since we started coming her nearly 30 years ago. read more
