It was all about the staff and me in the operating room, she likes others enjoying themselves I was amazed to observe this. All the NPA's and Doctors I have seen in the practice either in Elmer or Vineland have been exceptional. Have always been able to get an appointment in a timely manner and never have I waited more than 15 min for my appointment. Unfortunately my insurance has changed and I have to find a new ortho. Hopefully I can find an ortho practice as good as Premier.

I had a very positive impression with Dr. Fisher at first. After some persuasion, he agreed to do a…read morerather complex spine surgery for me to hopefully solve years of pain. I went through all of the testing and processed to prep for the surgery. A week before the scheduled surgery date my insurance company denied the claim. Dr. Fishers assistant told me she was filing an appeal with the insurance company. She said it would take 6-12 months to hear anything back, and also told me not to call for updates, she would call me when she heard something. I called a few times, regardless, to see if there was any progress. Just after the 12 month mark on my final call, Dr. Fishers assistant apologized and told me she had never actually filed the appeal and I had to meet with him again to start the whole process over. When I met with Dr. Fisher he did not accept any responsibility, and told me it was my fault. He said I should have been doing a better job checking in with his assistant throughout that year, and basically washed his hands of the whole thing. I didn't return to see him after this.

I would never use Premier Orthopaedics for imaging again based on my experience with their billing…read morepractices. Before BOTH of my MRI appointments, Premier verified my copay as $75. I was told $75 before each appointment, and Premier collected $75 from me each time. I was never told this was merely an estimate or warned that I could later owe hundreds of dollars more. Afterward, I was billed an additional $500. When I disputed the charges, Premier's billing department told me that my account documented the original $75 copay verification. I spent months trying to resolve this and eventually submitted a formal written dispute. What is most frustrating is that Premier ultimately acknowledged in writing that the copayment initially collected was based on an "incomplete review" of my insurance benefits--yet still refused to adjust the additional $500 balance. That may be how Premier characterizes it now, but I was never told before either MRI that the $75 amount they gave me was an estimate. Had I been told that Premier had not fully verified my benefits and that my actual cost could be substantially higher, I could have made an informed decision before receiving the services. On top of the billing issues, it also took almost a month for my MRI results to get to my doctor. Having to deal with that delay on top of everything that followed with billing made the entire imaging experience incredibly frustrating. I went out of my way to determine my cost beforehand. I was given the same $75 copay for two separate appointments and paid exactly what Premier told me I owed both times. I don't think patients should have to find out later that the financial information they were given before receiving care was based on an incomplete review. If you use Premier for imaging, get the quoted cost in writing and specifically ask whether they have actually completed the benefit verification and whether you could be billed substantially more afterward. I also recommend following up to make sure your results are actually sent to your doctor. I wish I had known all of this before using Premier for my MRIs.
