I started with my unit under $200 per month, one of the bigger units which wasn't bad for the size, within 6 months the rate changed and I started paying more than $300.. couldn't keep up with it and eventually my unit got auctioned off, and I lost every thing, including important documents .. When considering using this company, keep in mind that the rates WILL change and rapidly, that's how they make their money. .

I called and spoke to a guy who said there was no slash through the $20 so that the 50% would come off the $20 (versus the $20 being the 50% off price). So I paid online and did all the paperwork for my mom. There was an additional $20 new account fee and it was the end of the month so the amount due was only $26. My mom went to put stuff in the unit I'd gotten her and they charged her more fees which she was told "online doesn't show." It has been two weeks since then and she went to the unit today only to see their red lock on it for non payment. They said the money on 6/1 didn't come out of my account automatically (which it didn't because they didn't withdraw it as they should have) so it was a late payment and would cost her an extra $47! When it was no fault of ours. Besides the fact that it was supposed to be 50% off the first two months. The front desk man was yelling at her that he didn't personally do the paperwork so she doesn't get the 50% off and that it's not his fault they didn't automatically withdraw the money from my account. In total, we paid over $100 for just 2 weeks of usage on a unit that was only supposed to cost $10 a month with that discount. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!

There are problems with homeless individuals that are using the facility as temporary housing. We have witnessed individuals waiting for tenants to open the security gates and automatic doors to the building and they have full access once inside. Cell phones have no reception inside the building and this is a significant risk to tenants who cannot call for help if harrassed while inside their storage lockers. This is a potentially threatening situation to the safety of all occupants who are working in their storage units when little to no help is available. Presently, there is a huge cockroach infestation as we killed more than thirty of them individually crawling on the hallway floor and walls outside our storage units. People moving there property from storage facility to storage facility are likely bringing them into the Oakland Park location. Roaches love corrugated boxes and are attracted to glue, adhesive tape, food items among other things. Renters need to go through their things or their property is going to be over run by roaches. I don't think renters give a second thought to what could be living in their storage boxes. I suggest buying plastic storage containers with lids that provide some protection. We will reconsider our rental tenancy if the roach infestation continues and security measure need to be implemented to keep the homeless from making the storage facility their home. Lastly, something needs to be done to provide cell reception or an internet connection to those working inside the building.
