They will tell you the best places to stand, lay, hang, lol, and then take the picture for you on you phone. They are all really kind and helpful and we had a blast with them. I live in Orlando and I don't really do many of the touristy things but this is one I will return to to get more great pictures with my husband and friends!!

Come here for cute, gimmicky Instagrammable shots! I've gone to several of these business types -…read moremostly popups - but this one is a permanent fixture. It was part of my Go City Explorer pass, which is a good deal if you want to hit up multiple random attractions and don't have a good idea of what to do. It's also slightly cheaper on Groupon if you're not from the area and want to buy individually. Parking is free in Icon Park's garage floors 4-7. It's an easy walk to the elevators to go down with a bunch of other tourists to walk through the park to near the center, where the Museum of Illusions is located. Along the way, you can get a nice photo op with the ferris wheel in the background. Once you walk in, you present your entry at the counter, and can begin walking through the exhibits on the left (the right side behind the counter is where you'll be exiting, beyond the few racks of merchandise). The walkthrough is pretty short - most of the wait is basically waiting on other people to clear out so you can take your own photos. We did everything in 45 minutes. There's not too much text to read, but sufficient enough for a basic understanding of how the illusions work. There are supposed to be a couple of guides waiting around to assist with photo-taking, but they were concentrated in one area, so for the most part it felt like we had to help ourselves. My favorite exhibits were the head on a platter, Ames room, and cloning table. Everything is still obviously a trick if you take another look at the photos. The reversed room could have been neat, but it doesn't account for gravity pull on fabric, so it only works if you have a shaved head and are wearing skin-tight clothes. The vortex tunnel is not too impressive - just more of an in-person dizzy balancing experience. The infinity room is pretty neat, though awkward when you're behind the camera. The entire experience would be a lot better if there were sensors that took photos for you, since taking the photo yourself negates some of the "magic" in the pictures. I also think they need better instructions for some rooms, since it sometimes took a few minutes to figure out what I should be looking at or doing. For a one-time experience, it's alright.

We went during their EDM Fridays and had a great time listening to the music and playing the games they have laid out (giant jenga, chess, Mario Kart). I wouldn't say to go there for a big meal, but they do have a little cafe with some food items and drinks, example: wine and marijuana infused beverages.

I attended a local photography event here and let me say that I was absolutely amazed. I've never…read moreseen a place that was so cool before! Each section of the place was set up so strategically for the photography. It didn't feel crowded at all even though there was a good number of models and photographers there. You could tell the owner and his team put a lot of thought into this place - determining where to put each set, how to space it out so it didn't feel claustrophobic and to allow enough walking/standing area in between. There was enough props, backgrounds, and unique furniture for all sorts of photos. Vibe is very on point and I was able to get some amazing photos thanks to some fantastic photographers and the sets. The large prism that you could enter the huge and LED screen/platform were my absolute favorite. (Not sure if that's what they're actually called) I was there for 2-3 hours but there was still so many more places to shoot at! Definitely a cool place to check out with a group of friends!!

The woman at the entrance was kind and helpful, though she spoke so softly my ADHD brain had to lean in like a detective--but her directions were spot on. Inside the main building, the art from Cuba was the star for me--bold, vibrant, full of life. Some of my absolute favorites were in the Cuban art section--each piece felt like it was humming with its own frequency. The geometric painting (the one drenched in deep reds, burnt oranges, and that sharp black hourglass shape) hit me first. It's bold, mathematical, yet somehow spiritual--like a coded message meant for anyone perceptive enough to catch it. Very "guardian-spirit-meets-mid-century-modern." I stood there longer than I expected. The giant ancient sloth? Unreal. I wish they'd place a modern-day sloth beside it, just so my brain could process the scale without glitching. The bug/kids section was unexpectedly adorable. The kids were living their best lives, and honestly, I was right there with them--zero shame. I did drive over to the second building for the "It's a Ship Show" exhibit, and okay... I see what they did with the title. At first glance I read it as "It's a Sht* Show," and for a split second I thought MOAS got sassy. The artwork leaned heavily into still life, and to me it felt more like pieces you'd find in an upscale lounge, a refined boutique hotel, or a polished restaurant--visually pleasing but not as emotionally stirring as the main gallery. Just my personal taste. I could've spent more time wandering around, but I was on a first date with someone who kept making me laugh. I felt like the loud kid in class trying to stay quiet in a museum. Overall, great value, memorable art, and a surprisingly fun atmosphere. I'd definitely go again--preferably when I'm not giggling through every exhibit.
