We've been visiting the Sports Complex for indoor high school track meets. The facility is very…read moremodern and clean and one of the best indoor tracks around. Spectator view is somewhat limited for events on the far side of the building, but their is plenty of open space for watching everything else. There is a small kitchen that offers a typical menu for sporting events - hotdogs, nachos, popcorn, soda, fruit, etc. The campus itself is a sight as well, with different complexes built on the hillside. The grounds are clean and well-kept. It is off the beaten-path, so to speak. Expect the drive there and back to be an adventure.

I was not making any messes, I actually cleaned up a mess that had been made by students/family. Why won't you let people get things that can be used instead of it sitting in a dumpster. I didn't pull anything out of the dumpster, it was sat to were I could grab it if I wanted it.

Not only were they openly disrespectful and racist, but the referee was also highly biased and unfair, failing to address the inappropriate actions on the court. This created an uncomfortable and hostile environment for my daughter and her teammates, who were just trying to play the game. It was disheartening to see such poor sportsmanship and a lack of accountability from both the opposing team and the referee. This experience has left a bad taste, and I hope future games promote fairness, respect, and true sportsmanship.

UPB is a branch campus of the University of Pittsburgh. It is a small but mighty campus that is…read moregorgeous in the fall. The student population is diverse for the area. The university offers many different programs. Students can choose a variety of two and 4 year programs ranging from nursing, hospitality management, psychology, criminology (cool crime house as a "lab"), information science, chemistry, biology, 2 year engineering (there is a proposal for a 4 year program), environmental science and a two year petroleum technology program. The dorms are nice. Freshman have a new building and there are townhomes, and apartment style housing. Student housing comes with small fridges and microwaves. There are limits on cookware such as electric plates and grills. The food in student cafeteria could use some love though. The cafeteria facility is nice but the food is not consistently good. It is not horrible but it could be better. The library is nice as is the gym. It would be good though if they had some extended hours over the weekend. The town is small but there is a movie theater. Student id allows students to use local public transportation without cost. The bus is not bad but I wish hours were later on weekends. Class sizes are small which is good because you get to know your professors and they are generally pretty helpful. It would be nice if all professors would use course management software. Some do and some don't. Another nice things about this campus is that professors seem to try to keep textbook costs down by enabling students to use older editions of books (not ancient - just one or two editions older). I have been able to save a ton of money because of this. The technology on campus is not too bad but I think that the campus wifi could be improved but it is much better now than it was two years ago. The campus recognizes that it needs to update labs and it will be building a science building in the near future that will house new labs. In general, if UPB puts the money into the new science building, Penn State Behrend will get a run for its money. Also, don't be put off by sites that lists GPA's/SATs of accepted students. UPB has a lot of students who may be considered non-traditional and they also have associate degree students. UPB is not a data snob and it gives students a chance to prove themselves. In addition, UPB offers Pell Grant Matching and Panther Scholarships. Panther scholarships are either $5500 or $7500 based on GPA/SAT scores. Pretty much everyone gets at least $5500. The scholarship is $5500 (high school gpa 2.5 19) ACT/$7500 (high school gpa 2.5 act 25) every year for 4 years as long as you maintain a 2.25 gpa. That is better than most merit scholarships from other colleges which put really high gpa requirements for continuation of the scholarship. An economically challenged student could pretty much get through this school with minimal loans. Staff at in the financial aid office will also scour for scholarships for students with financial need. Students who have learning disabilities have an awesome resource center that provides study skill sessions along with tutoring. UPB is a perfect small school for a student who is academically focused. There may be a curve for a student from an urban area but if they are concerned about their academics, it shouldn't be an issue after some time. Bring your snow boots and warm coats for the winter but enjoy the view.

After a difficult initial couple years in public school, the Aurora Waldorf approach suited his learning interests and stimulation needs far better. Always a terrific child, youth, teen and young adult, the experience here was foundational in paving the way to a brilliant life and future. We are thankful to have found the Waldorf method and to Aurora Waldorf for helping bring out his very best. We couldn't be more proud of him, now in his 30s and thriving.

My biggest issue with this place is that I prepaid the tuition, It wasn't excessive however I've started receiving emails - not intended for me- from parents who are requesting money back because they and their children did not attend. Odd. My daughter was informed that if her children even exhibited a slight tendency towards sickness......STAY AWAY!!! My son began having sessions offered at school so I removed him for the package. Proir to signing up I specifically asked if the hours were not were not used will they roll over. The rep insured me that they did. Even after removing my son we had an additional four hours available for usage. I thought gee this is great my daughter can use the extra hours around testing time. Since the rep told me they would roll over I did not ask for a refund for my son. My mother passed away in October and we were traveling back and forth from California to Indiana in order to resolved everthing. Because thier rep told me hours would roll I was not worried and focused more on my family. It wasnt until today 1/23/2023 that I went to update my payment infor that I saw the " credit expired notices" . I was like what the heck and immediately called. The rep I spioke to bascially told me I was SOL because its in their guidelines. So basicelly their reps do a bait and switch to get you to sign up. The rep offered no help and was like basically I can help you cancel and you will klikely not get a refund. Total bs more than 500 bucks down the drain. I trusted you guys!! You are liars and scammers! Your supposed to help and be an assisant but Ill guve you an A for you business structure and ripping people off. People please find your own private tutor or a place were you pay as you go, *****++ update 1/26/2023 When the client experience department reached out I was 100% sure they were going to give me the runaround and offer me expired coupons to make up for it. What did happen was actually quite beautiful and I was brought to tears shortly after. I spoke with what I can only imagine to be an angel ( not kidding at all). This angel was named Elise B. and this was by far the best experience i've ever had in my life when dealing with disputed matters. Elise B. offered more than an opportunity to resolve my situation, she offered what most people fail to do and that is "Listen" . Most people listen to respond rather than to understand where a person was coming from. Losing my mother the last 90 days has rocked my world and I watch people lose compassions for human decency because they are in pain. Elise B. made one simple statement that changed the course and tone of the entire conversation and that was " I am ready to help , would you please tell me what happened and what would you you like to see to make this right." I was honestly paused by the very sincere way she approached that I was almost rendered speechless ( like omg someone cares!!! ) . She let me talk , she didn't interrupt and let me explain how I felt information was miscommunicated and that I felt helpless. Some may think I overreacted, but there is no overreacting when it comes to my child's education and ensuring her future. My child sought Varsity and found not only home but an amazing tutor who has become more like an aunt/sister which has increased my child's learning experience. So you can see it was devastating on having to end the relationship. Not only that but I work hard for every dollar I earned and I refuse to waste giving light of inflation and what not in our country. With that being said , thank you so much Elise B. for crediting my child her hours back and restoring my faith back into Varsity tutors so that my child can continue striving for the best with her amazing tutor. This is how you handle customer freaking service. 10/10 . Elise B. you absolutely made my day and I hope this could be a first line of defense instead of the last.

My daughter and I both graduated from here in May 2016. I had an excellent experience as an…read moreAccounting major. They offer online classes, in person classes and hybrid classes which combine online and in person. This is a small campus with approximately 1000 students. You really get to know your classmates. Being old enough to be my classmates' mothers, I was a bit nervous at how I would fit in for group projects, etc. It was needless worry-I was made to feel like I was no different. Great, kind students that I stay in touch with! I attended college full time, mostly at night, while working full time. Sometimes I could not take a required course due to the time it was offered. Hilbert worked with me and my schedule to ensure I graduated on time. I can't say enough about the accounting department professors. There were some bumps in the road, like online professors using lectures they recorded 5-10 years prior. This happened with several professors, so they did not discuss current events, but referenced things that happened when most of the students were ages 10-12. The same online professors also did not update the links they provided in their PowerPoint presentations causing me much frustration. I expect more for the money I was paying to take each class. This is the main reason for not granting the fifth star. All in all, Hilbert provided me and my daughter with an excellent education and I highly recommend it.
