This place has definitely gone down hill! Or maybe I have just got older... I practically lived in here when I did my degree 02 - 05. Am now doing an Open University course, an am able to use the facilities of the library. The facilities are still the same, and they have an extensive range of books, but they could do with more people on "patrol". It was definitely quieter in my day! Wanting a bit of quiet space for some study, I went to the "quiet area, single study only". Most people were hanging round in groups chatting. Heard some very loud conversations from the other end of the room about what people had been up to the night before. When I was there before, there were a lot of staff that would have had words for people being that noisy, but nothing happened. I am but one person, I was not about to challenge groups of 6 + gobby students! Plus, it was freezing! Yes I know it is cold at the moment, but i had my snowboarding base layers on under my jeans, 2 jumpers and a hoody, but I still had to keep my coat on in there it was that cold. Did my studying today in the pub as it was quieter than the library! read more

Coventry UNiversity library for a start looks like well not a library. Its modern design enables light to travel down a central shaft to reduce the amount of electric lights that need to be on. Focusing on natural light. On the ground floor before you enter the library you find a supplies shop that sells loads of stationary. The ground floor of the library has many pc available for use and printers. As you go up the floors there are more pcs on each, well over 200 with a wirless network too. Has loads of books covering every genre. A great place to head to if you are a student, you cant get in otherwise unless that has changed. Great library with great features and looks pretty cool too! read more

Woow feel a bit nostalgic writing a review about this famous Lanchester Library in which I spent so many hours. I am pretty sure that I could write this review on behalf of so many students and say that this Library's been like my home. During the exam period there is a special schedule: 24h/7 which is huge and sincerely helpful when you've got to submit a report as well as revising exams. read more

I love this library. Whilst I was a student in Coventry Uni I spent many a day inside there, looking up books. There are 3 floors, and a basement and it's a really easy library to get around and most definitely student friendly. It has different sections related to the subject areas and has a really good computing facility! Very good student library read more
