The old classic Canadian, This Hour Has 22 Minutes.. the new Mr. D (shot mostly at Citadel High)... I for one however miss the Street Cents and Jonovision! haha. Love Dragon's Den, and love the Rick Mercer Report too! Nothing wrong with a slice of Canadiana getting some exposure of this great area of the country, to the rest of the country. Like I said.. if you put aside your disdain for the spending into the industry by our federal government. Haha.

Waterfront festival staging area was extremely inhospitable. Saturday afternoon 2:00, wiltingly…read morehot. Not a lick of shade. No seats. Someone guarding a bunch of plastic chairs. Not sure what that was about. Performers singing and for 20 (?) people. Unclear what we were allowed to bring and what we weren't. Not like any jazz festival I have ever attended. Other smaller venues were much better (hydrostone was fantastic). But the main stage...dismal

A great festival that brings some amazing musical acts to Halifax each and every summer…read more The have all kinds of different acts to choose from, with the cost of the act varying the entire time as well. The waterfront location provides a beautiful backdrop for the main stage to look out on, but this festival is so much more than just a one stage act. There are musical acts all over the city throughout the week that you are able to take in and enjoy. The afternoon's down on the waterfront stage are free, and a great chance to have your kids and yourself, get a break from the Biebers and the Britney's of the world. To see where the real music came from. All the samples they hear in the back round of what is passed off as pop these days. So get out Halifax, and soak up some good old fashioned jazz music.
