One Nathaniel Spinney took me into his office because he saw I was at the end of my rope with the two year ordeal I'm still going through, took my information, stated that the issue could probably be resolved through a letter to the company that was messing around with me, I started to go through my emails, sent one that I felt covered the situation and then Nathaniel Spinney started acting like I didn't actually exist. Hell, I had to send him an email that was like this (literally!) Title: RESPOND Text: RESPOND RESPOND RESPOND RESPOND. He then acted like he had no idea who I was. Don't go to this firm for anything. If they don't provide the service, they will jerk you around and not tell you. When I went to the first firm, the RECEPTIONIST told me they didn't litigate up front and gave a recommendation for another law firm that did, only reason I didn't go with them was the distance involved (got no car).

Unfortunately, there was a lot of drama, animosity and distrust amongst our family, including towards the executor. I won't get into the details of that. But, look: I'm sure we're not the first and won't be the last family to have disputes over an estate. Patterson law made several sloppy mistakes in names and dates and, most importantly, insisted that beneficiaries sign a form saying that we received all expected payouts from the estate, before we actually received anything. I wrote to the lawyer. He never responded. His paralegal responded that this is "standard practice". I am sure you can understand that, in a situation where there is already a lot of tension and distrust, this added a lot of fuel to the fire! Note that as executor of an estate, you can hire any lawyers you want. You don't have to stick with the lawyers who helped write the will.

One of the best Casting Agencies in the city for Film & Television…read more Filmworks is pretty much the only casting agency in Halifax for film and television so I suppose they win by default. But there are individual Casting Directors in the city that also do limited casting in these categories. So I'm not just giving them five stars for no reason. I have more than enough evidence as to why these five stars are so very much deserved. What is a Casting Agency or Casting Director? Simply put these are people who are hired by a production company to find Actors for the various character roles that the production company has in the script they are going to film. Some people get confused and think that Casting Director's or Casting Agencies represent Actors but that is not true. They do not represent or receive money from Actors. Those are Talent Agents. So if a production company needs Actors, they generally contact a Casting Director who will then contact the Actors Talent Agent (sometimes just referred to as Agent), who will then talk to the Actor and see if they want to audition for the production through the Casting Director or Casting Agency. Clear as mud? Good. Filmworks gets five stars for more reasons than I can count. First off they have been around for at least my entire career which is going on thirteen years. So they are one of the most experienced companies in Atlantic Canada for casting. Secondly, they have maintained a strong professionalism and consistency for being a professional and reliable Casting Agency in the Maritimes. The staff are of course the reason for this. They are very hard working and dedicated to helping Actors and Production Companies receive the highest quality of service possible Being and Actor and a Producer I know what its like working with good and bad Casting Directors. I must have auditioned for hundreds of jobs with Filmworks in the past thirteen years and can happily say I have landed quite a few roles through them. I never walk in, unsure as to what will happen. They make sure I have all the information I need for an audition and I am as prepared as possible. So for consistently doing great work, having amazing staff and being a local business that is so important to the local film industry, Filmworks gets five out of five stars!

It was at Film Works were really where my film making Career started back in April of 2009 when Sarah Dunsworth asked me if I could join them in being an extra in the re-make movie "Ice Castles" In the world of filmmaking and with in acting was and still is a great Opportunity to meet great new people. Today almost 6 years latter after when I first joined Film works I now work for my self as a Independent filmmaker and I'm starting to go throw the change over from a Independent filmmaker to a Casting Agency and Filmmaking company called "Metro Filming Cooperation" that really dose a bit of everything that help's to get inexperience actors and actress the experience that they will need to have and to get noticed a recruit place for new and young actors of all ages. But it was Film works where all this Originally all toke place And it could not have been run and operated by a much better person then Mr. John Dunsworth and I would like to see how much better they are going to operate at there new office location on Hollis Street in Halifax
