When my son was in an accident (not at fault, Dec '24), I called for guidance on how to file a claim. Only then did I find out State Farm required both the car and the driver to be insured--something Alex never explained or advised me on. I added my son to my policy in Dec '24 but ultimately filed the accident claim through the other driver's insurance, meaning State Farm never handled it. Two months later (End of Feb '25) my son moved out on less that great terms and took responsibility for the car, we had him retitle it in his name and he took it with him. We canceled our policy, but State Farm first had me sign and affidavit giving my word my son was not driving my other vehicles, then later demanded proof of his new insurance-- including company name and policy number, details I had no access to. My agent was useless throughout this process, never explaining my coverage, never offering real assistance, and only forwarding emails. When the underwriters started making demands, he gave me no advice, and his final email was downright rude--essentially telling me to take my business elsewhere. State Farm and Alex's lack of professionalism, communication, and customer care was infuriating. After years of paying into their service, I expected better. I've since switched providers, and if you're looking for an insurance company that actually supports its customers, stay far away from State Farm.

I couldn't call them back because I was sent to voicemail so basically left in the dark. After that we received letters saying our policy was canceled, wife calls them to find out what's going on and it's mumbo jumbo about underwriting and not to worry about it, told her the car was insured, she called corporate and found out it was not. Trying to get to the bottom of it and make sure we're insured, Mario told my wife to shop with another company after she has been with state farm for over 20 years. Negative 1 star of possible for a terrible experience.

Could've fooled me... Not only was I quoted unbelievable rates, every question I asked resulted in a pathetic attempt to UPSELL my current policy! Really? Unhappy with the blatant display of arrogance before me, not to mention the unreasonable, random increase of prices-- I decided to get quotes from other brokers within the company. SURPRISE! 2 out of 3 agents I spoke to couldn't understand Erik Watada's logic, fee chart & immediately was able to save me $200. Amazed how one can be angry AND happy at the same . Thumbs down, Man! My advice: Do your homework. It will save you $$$

After having an experience that left a very bad taste in my mouth with the insurance company that we had been with since 2010 for both home and auto, we decided to look for new insurance. We wanted a place that could bundle our insurance and we wanted to have a local agent for face-to-face service. I checked a few local places and ended up having the good fortune of finding Sara K. Murray at State Farm. Sara is a bright light in a often dark arena. She immediately responded to my request for a quote. She acted exceptionally professional and provided absolute top-notch service. We are very happy to be moving on from the old company and looking forward to having an actual relationship with our insurance agent. The office is very, very nice, great parking, but if you prefer to do things by email - no problem - she gets the job done! I highly recommend Sara at State Farm!!

I called him at 9:00 AM on Monday, he took all of my information. 2:00 PM I received a very competitive quote. Today at 10:00 AM Dylan was at my house taking photos. By 1:00 PM I was given the thumbs up by underwriting I have already signed the papers, I am covered today.I didn't realize how much insurance companies charge if you finance it and pay it monthly, I don't get that much from the interest rate on my CDs so I'm very relieved and I can stop worrying about it. Country Financial is a Nevada only insurance company, they have their own underwriters and they know Carson City very well. My previous agent had already made five phone calls and couldn't get a quote at any of them. I'm very pleased and surprised how quickly this was handled and I saved money plus the coverage is much better. If you are still looking for insurance or not happy with what you have in Carson City or Nevada in general I highly suggest and recommend him, they care about their customers because they are local. He sent me a link to Turbo Tax when my pain level is at a 10 and I'm in a torso brace before surgery. Not helpful. I was just looking to file an extension since I have not been provided with any knowledge by an accountant on my new personal income tax situation. I'm furious and disappointed.
