Rarely do I leave reviews for businesses. And when I do, it's always positive. However, my frustration with this "company" cannot go unstated. And if this review can stop even one person from attempting to do a transaction with Ct Lasers, then I consider it time well spent.
My band ordered a laser from Marc in the Spring. We needed to purchase a laptop in order to run the software. After purchasing said laptop, it took over a month for Marc to get back to us in a time to meet and install the software. When we finally decided on a time, he showed up at my door at 9pm with a scowl and ran off with it. No "hello," no "good night." Rude.
That was two months ago. Call after call, email after email, and text after text had gone unanswered. If we're lucky enough to get a response, it's one excuse after another as to why this process is being delayed. Having had enough, we have insisted on a full refund. Of course, in true form, our requests went unanswered for two weeks. And when they were finally answered, we were told to reach out to someone named "John." Naturally, those texts were also unanswered and the voicemail is not set up so you can't leave a message. We gave them a deadline for our refund and threatened legal action. "John's" reply, another week later was "you don't dictate to me when I send your money and when I reply to messages." Yeah, chief. We do, in fact, dictate where and when we spend our money.
Upon further research, it has come to light that Marc is a well known scammer in the laser community. In hindsight, we should have been more cautious, but that is no excuse for his behavior.
Our deadline has come and gone with no reply, again, so we will be filing a lawsuit in the coming days. It's a shame. We have this guy months and it's going to end up costing him more in the long run than if he just gave us our refund.
