I walk in the door and before I could even sit down one of the 3 guys cutting hair ask me if I had an appointment. I said no and he said sorry it's appointment only and we are booked today and tomorrow but you can make an appointment for another day. Is this a barbershop or a salon? Usually you just wait for the next guy to be finished and walk ins are welcome. Nope, not this place and not with any of these 3 guys. Apparently they're too good for walk ins. And just a side note, it doesn't say anywhere that it's appointment only.

The best for classy Italian edge ups and haircuts. Dom and Tony are dam good barbers. Flat screen TVs available at each chair. They use a brand new razor and clean the clippers with spray every time. My son and I come twice a month for hair cuts and we always leave satisfied. The shop is always clean, and gets busy on the weekends (a sign of community support for a job well done) so come early! ;-) There is always entertainment available, through numerous TV screens (one per barber chair and a big 40+ inch in the back wall), music and staff engagement. Parking is street parking but I haven't had a problem finding a spot to park in any of the adjacent streets. During the winter parking can be a challenge due to the city's snow removal issues, but still manageable. Stop by and check them out.

Walk ins are welcome but since most people make appointments you're rolling the dice if you just walk in. Also, Allan has a BIG heart and he's a GREAT guy! Some people see him as a little rough on the edges but, as someone who has been around many people of various backgrounds, I find that these impressions are false and are just related to culture differences and nothing bad. Just walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner Jeff. I saw the cut he just finished on a guy walking out when I came in...wow, nice I thought. I was looking for a face shave and beard clean up no cut today. Jeff welcomed me and said take a seat, it won't be long. I then really enjoyed the skill with which he cut the hair on a very high strung little boy in his chair. Thus was a busy kid, yet he gave him a super nice tight fade and even a shaved hard part. The little guy left with a huge smile, lollipop and looked like a superstar. Jeff clearly has skill, and super kid finesse. The guys here are nice family friendly craftsmen. Thoroughly enjoyed their banter and nice manners. Mason did the shave for me. Nice job, good conversation, good guy, very meticulous in his trimming work. I wish I lived closer as I'd be here weekly. He struggles with sensory overload, and while he may not fit a "typical" mold of autism, his challenges are real. Unfortunately, most of the staff did not seem welcoming or understanding. There was visible annoyance during his outbursts, and very little effort was made to make him feel comfortable. What was most upsetting was being told that if my son is "this difficult," I should cut his hair at home. That was incredibly discouraging to hear from a place that claims to specialize in working with children on the spectrum. Families like mine need patience and compassion -- not judgment.
