They had comfy "bean bag" cushions for relaxing as a well as study areas which were quiet and conducive to getting work done. We thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from the Student Union. Yelp Review 2024 #93:…read more I've never heard of Trident University before but somehow they showed up on my credit report for sending me to collections! How can I enroll at a school I didn't even know exists??? I already have 2 degrees and getting a third one was not even a thought that crossed my mind. I, of course, had to dig and find out what this was about. They're an online school and all of my employers do not honor online degrees so, there's absolutely no reason for me to visit their website until I found out somebody stole my identity but with a different mailing and e-mail address. I contacted the collections agency they used and Trident University Ombudsman, Brandie Riegle who told me to file a police report and fill out forms to prove my identity. Obviously, they don't collect transcripts from applicants and only care about having them pay for tuition. It seems like their admissions process is backwards. Now, I had to go out of my way to prove who I am?! I reported the incident to the police and to FTC and sent Brandie Riegle the paperwork she asked from me but I never heard back from her. I've emailed her and left her voice messages multiple times. THIS IS A BIG SCAM!

They're pretty impacted The college offers undergraduate and graduate programs, so make sure you get familiar with their facilities and requirements online and reach out to the department and your instructor if you need help. Communication is key Unless you're an international student or transferred student with an excellent GPA, the department is pretty selective and they don't make it easy on you to get enrolled in your classes All students are at different levels of learning and if you're struggling they don't let you enroll as a priority student, you're forced to petition and that's pretty disappointing and discouraging because it makes you behind in the enrollment process since the beginning and that's a huge challenge that you will have to overcome To get ahead in life, it's very important to get your degree. CSULB is a well known recognized public university but make sure you plan ahead, stay on top and arrive extra early to save your sanity trying to find an available parking and if you find parking? keep in mind that you will have to walk a pretty good long distance It's easier for a full time student with no job or part time job to get to the finish line, If you work full time and go to school part time, be prepared to pay the price. It will not be easy but it will be worth it One thing I don't understand is why the department of business doesn't offer more online courses? You must go in person. It would be so much easier for people that truly needs the flexibility of scheduling for their classes Good luck on getting your degree from CSULB and on being successful in life after your graduation. I wish you all the best!

Of course the administrators at CSULB business wont admit any of this, since itll affect their bottom line. I hope my review helps potential students avoid an unnecessary waste of time.

I just needed an efficient and flexible way to meet licensing requirements and prestige or name recognition wasn't that important to me because I already have that on my resume. I was accepted and spoke to an enrollment staff member Kim Strickler. I had only two conversations with her. During those conversations, she (1) said things like, "I answered your question," when I asked for clarification because she *hadn't* answered my question; (2) interrupted me repeatedly, and, when I asked her to allow me to finish speaking, interrupted me *four more times* in quick succession; (3) told me that my questions were "unhelpful, unproductive, inefficient," and that I was "fixating" on things; and (4) proceeded to repeated *no less than six times* her opinion that my questions were unhelpful, unproductive, and inefficient and would not stop repeating that until I started recording the call, which is when she finally hung up. Oh, before it got really bad, I asked her to transfer me to someone else or have someone else talk to me. She refused multiple times. She also said there wasn't anyone else I could talk to, said there was no way to file a grievance or escalate this matter. She also said more than once that she was the head of "this entire department," in order to intimidate me into not complaining. She obviously knew she wasn't behaving well, lol. I found the appropriate grievance escalation channel on my own (because there obviously is one), and sent a written complaint. The school's response was, in summary, "Kim did everything professionally. We think your threat to file a complaint was escalating. This matter is closed." I have the emails, if anyone's interested. Classic "avoid liability and accountability," which I guess isn't surprising but it is disappointing. They also included a veiled threat to sic their lawyers on me, supposedly because my signature block included the name of my law firm, which doesn't make sense since all of my correspondence has my firm in the signature block. That part made me laugh. I'm single-handedly prosecuting my family's claims against Mercury Insurance for bad faith conduct after the Eaton fires. I'm not afraid of some online university no one's even heard of. That said, I can't associate myself with a university whose management level staff can't emulate basic maturity... Anonymity is OK; embarrassing and infantile is not. I withdrew immediately and will be seeking a doctoral degree at ********** instead. Looking forward to it very much. Happy to discuss if you are interested in ways to protect yourself if you run into this issue and have to talk to Kim. Hopefully you've never encountered someone who is this defensive, threatened by anyone who doesn't cower from her, obsessed with dominance and control even if it means acting like a 6-year-old having a full blown tantrum, dismissive and then accusatory when that doesn't work, unable to respect reasonable boundaries whatsoever, and absolutely allergic to accountability, which is in turn reinforced by the institution. I know a few people like this, but usually they are men. Not everyone has a lot of options, I understand, and you might be stuck with TUW. Let me know if you'd like advice on this. Happy to discuss and share info.

When we did the initial walk through at MGH, we informed Michelle of my son's frustration and…read morebehavior issues and asked her how they would address this at school, she confidently told me she would take him outside to diffuse him. We also had numerous formal and informal meetings with Christine and Karinna, who always said they wanted to work with us. We were told we had to get outside help from a doctor, and when we told them it would take a while to see results (per the psychologist), they reiterated they were willing to help. After being called to be picked up after an hour of class on his 4th full day of school, I spoke with Christine and she told me what happened. I also called the director, Heather, to discuss our options. Christine didn't mention anything about Simon not being allowed to attend school anymore without extra help provided by his family, nor did Heather. On Tuesday morning, I sent Heather an email with tips of how to diffuse my son, thinking the teachers could use it as a guideline in helping to steer him in the right direction. Twenty minutes prior to school starting, she called to tell me that it wasn't possible for my son to get any more one on one from the teachers and since our nanny couldn't be at the school until 10am, the staff felt they weren't safe with my son in class without the help. Why Heather didn't call me Monday or even earlier Tuesday morning to let me know he was not able to attend that day still baffles me. Heather said she was waiting to talk to me at the site, but that would have only resulted in her turning us away as I had my daughter with me that morning and wouldn't have been able to stay to help.  I got my so ready that morning, we packed his lunch together, and I gave him the pep talk about Karinna not being in class, but got him excited for music class that day. If I wouldn't have sent that email, Heather wouldn't have called at all and we would have arrived at the school only for her to have told us the news in front of my son. How do you think he would have felt about that? I'm surprised that the director of a place that regards itself as fostering confidence in young children would reject a child to their face. The website states, "studies prove that the relationship between a caretaker and a child is more secure when it's longer. It supports the social and emotional development of a child. Whereas, frequent change in approach or caretakers can cause suffering and early depression in children." Heather and her staff gave my son one full day the first week and three full days the second week, calling us to pick him up on what would have been his fifth day at MGH.  If the email I had sent Tuesday morning were suggestions from an actual psychologist, would they have called to tell me you couldn't give him one on one attention to implement the strategies from a doctor? The meeting on Friday with the teachers suggested otherwise, as we were told they were ready to work with whatever care we found once an assessment was made. Christine informed me that she would have to call to have my son picked up from school if the kids felt unsafe. According to her, this happened for the first time on Monday even though he was called to be picked up three prior days of school. No one informed me he wouldn't be able to return without my nanny or a parent in the classroom after this one incident of him kicking in the direction of a child. I was under the impression that we would have to come get him if it happened again, but not that he couldn't return. The first I heard of this was twenty minutes before the start of class on Tuesday. I was caught of guard and it was very unprofessional. I am so glad this did not end up happening in front of my four year old son, as the director originally intended. I understand my so was not easy and required a lot of one on one. He has never been in anything full time all day. He has never been in a Montessori setting. I believe he was not given a fair chance to succeed. He was not even given an entire week. The MHG program is more geared toward families with Montessori backgrounds, with kids that are ready to do their work without much assistance. This should have been conveyed to us before we signed on, as we were open about his past behavior and experience. I hope in the future you are up front with parents regarding any children that may have special needs or behavioral problems.
