I am studying at this school. So far all is great and I am learning so much from the material, professor and my classmates. It's different from conventional learning where most of us picture it at a traditional classroom. Great experience and I am happy I made this decision. very recommended for people living a busy lifestyle. read more

The Professors here are great. However, the back office was a bit of a horrible experience for me during final term. The problem is their financial aid department, student billing no one takes accountability for when they mess up. After being told I will NOT have a balance upon graduation, they drop one on me. This is where I am frustrated. They messed up my credits for my specialization forgetting to add the numbers up correctly, even after being told to sign a school loan program that I signed documentation for to make sure this very thing does not happen. Some one added the credits up wrong and decided to hold my Diploma and Original Transcripts until paid in full. I did my part signing their contract to pay them now dropping an extra BALANCED due that should have been covered with proper student account knowledge, I am being punished for. I am unhappy with this school and unfortunately others have written such reviews with these UNEXPECTED CHARGES. Be careful with this school your JUST A BUSINESS TRANSACTION! read more

I'm not sure if Yelp posts my review or not! But here it is; Ok this is a joke! whoever is saying this university is good, they have never went to a real university or are above 35, have kids , or too lazy to go to a real school! I graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2014 which is not even in top 200 schools in US. got my B.S in Accounting with 3.0 GPA and my friend told me hey this is not a bad school with ur GPA u cannot go to a better school so u better try this plus!!! u don't have to take GMAT So I said who has time to study for GMAT lets just enroll and see what's going on! I came here saw many good reviews and I was like nice this is a really nice university! Story short after 2 years got my MS in Accounting and I will tell you this I have never received this many A in my life! No challenging project!! each week they give you an article and you have to write 2-5 pages essay about it which I received mostly A+ on those!!! In Cal State my best score for a paper was B+. They said they will prepare you for CPA exams (one of the main reason I went with CSU Global) but they never did! Never covered anything related to CPA exams! Don't fool urself! If you are young plz go to a real school! Even a state university (a real one!) This is not a right uni for anyone who has no kids or is under 35 years old! This school was designed for parents, older people and those with many years experience but never had a degree to back it up or just need a degree to get promotion that is it! read more

Some people think CSU-Global is a for-profit school (as mentioned by one of the people rated the school here in Yelp), but it is actually a non-profit public institution. Even if CSU-Global is a for-profit school, there is nothing wrong with it, because not all for-profit institutions are bad. CSU-Global is a good school that offers rigorous and meaningful degree programs. All of my instructors had appropriate educational credentials and professional experience. For example, all 12 professors who taught my graduate courses were Ph.D. holders and have been professional educators and researchers in their fields for many years. Nothing satisfies everyone, but when judging the school from an impartial standpoint, CSU-Global being the 16th best online school in the country says a lot. This ranking was provided by U.S. News & World Report, which was published in January of 2014. I would recommend CSU-Global to my friends, family and strangers who are interested in enhancing their marketability. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AS CSU GLOBAL. I am currently in my 9 course at CSU Global and I have made it my personal mission to keep every person from wasting their money with this education. My current teacher has copied all of the lecture notes from the book. There is no lecture, just regurgitation of the book. Even the assignment are from the book. I expressed my frustration with the teacher and her response was "At this point, we are looking for students to find innovative ways to overcome missing items through scholarly research. It is more than just finding an answer in the book and in the lectures, but doing that critical thinking to go beyond what is presented to you." The problem is, the pieces presented to me are directly from the book. Pretty much this teacher is being paid to allow me to teach myself. I am very interested in learning but to spend all week reading 150-200 pages and then having to spend the weekend "finding innovative ways to overcome missing items" is ridiculous. It is important to understand, I don't mind working hard, and doing research, but I expect to be taught as well. I shouldn't find out that I am not understanding the content ONLY when I receive a poor grade based on MY research of finding innovative ways. There has to be better schools out there. Do your research and go somewhere you will get a great education for the money. Lastly, I have sent several emails to the President, as they make her email available for your comments. To date, I have never received a response. This University does not care about you... only your money. read more

I've been really disappointed with CSU Global. I received an MS in Org. Leadership and frankly it's been useless. No one takes it as a serious degree. Also, half way through they began offering a double masters in Org. Leadership and Management (their version of an MBA?), but they told me I couldn't add it retroactively, and they wouldn't even let me just do it as a second degree! So I'm current going else where to get a more creditable degree, after wasting my time at CSU Global. Not a very smart business decision on their part. I would have happily paid to get a second masters in management with them because I get a substantial discount through my employer, but now another school is profiting from their lack of flexibility. read more

I recently finished the business management program at CSU and for the most part it was alright. The structure is good, most classes I found to be useful and relevant and most instructors were helpful and knowledgeable. However, there were a few startling exceptions. For instance in one or two of my classes there were a huge number of grammatical errors in the weekly module assignments. It was as if they were written by a poorly literate third grader or by someone who recently emigrated from Mexico. Either way, unacceptable for a major university. Another example is similar to what Zach M. mentioned. I had an instructor in my entrepreneurship class, (it was actually one of my two final courses at the school) who actually did not read my final paper. He simply slapped an A on it and thats it. The reason I know he did not read it is because I accidentally handed in two assignments. One was from the capstone class I was in at the same time and that is the one he chose to grade. The paper was on a completely different topic and could not have possibly been confused. Anyways it had some generic comments such as good job and etc. This was really surprising, considering the fact there were only 4 or 5 people in the class and couldn't have been that hard to read 5 papers. This shows the lack of professionalism by some of these "instructors" and is completely unacceptable. read more

I would strongly discourage anyone from even contacting this institution unless you want to be constantly called and emailed until you enroll. I was checking into taking on-line classes to finish a degree, and contacted CSU Global for information about their programs. I told them that I was in an "information gathering" stage at that point. I started receiving "check up " calls within a week, and in a month it was practically daily. As i gathered info from other institutions, it became clear to me that I was going to have to delay my return to school for a year. On the next "daily check up", I informed the admission staff that I was delayed, and requested that they stop calling me. They did not, as I blocked the numbers that they were calling from, they called from different numbers. Once a week, for 3 months, I have been answering (or calling back) and telling them that at this point I would NEVER attend there, and they keep calling. This institution's Admission Department is Predatory, and Relentless. They keep telling me that they are sorry and that the person who was handling my admission isn't there anymore, but they can help... and they keep calling. Do yourself a favor and Do Not Contact them unless you are ready to write a check that moment. read more

In my second semester now at CSU- Global and I am very pleased. Being a working adult I searched extensively for a Public, online University that was both accredited and fit my needs academic wise, with my major being Criminal Justice. After a great deal of research I settled with CSU. I found that curriculum to be challenging yet do-able, being a fair work load expected of any college level course. Having attended a few different brick and mortar Universities, I would say CSU's difficulty level is perfectly on par with some of the bigger State Schools in Virginia. Also, many of the professors at CSU-Global seem to have first hand experience (based on what I have read in their introductions) being students in an online format, therefore they recognize the importance of proper lines of communication student to professor, especially in a distance learning environment; thus has made my experience when having questions regarding assignments a much simpler one, never having difficulty contacting the professor. Overall I am very pleased and look forward to completing my BS Degree through CSU-Global. read more

I have recently completed my B.S in Organizational Mgmt from CSU-Global. Overall, I felt that the school was average. Nothing major to complain about, it is an online school and my advisor was always very good to respond to any issues. One thing that people should be aware of is the opportunity to use alternative credits through this school. I completed 60 college credits, saving over $21,000 by using these to my advantage. One thing that is prominent with online schools is a different style of instructor/professor engagement. Do not expect to be led through anything. You will write your paper (lot's of papers), you will receive a grade and many times a copy and paste review. Having said this, if you are looking for a degree to continue your career, this should be fine. I think that adults who already have experience in life would do much better at this school than a 20 year old. read more

I just wanted to add an update since I am now in my 4th course. While I currently have a 3.83 GPA, I am disappointed with the lack of cohesiveness among the professors teaching here. Example, one professor with her PhD told me to add references to my reference page, but that by adding citations at the end of my sentences does not demonstrate critical thinking, nor is it necessary. In fact, she deducted several points from several essays, when I am just following APA guidelines. I finally take her advice, knowing it is wrong, then my next professor marks me for not citing. I have been using the resources at the CSU-Library such as Ebsco and ProQuest. I only select peer-reviewed journals and scholarly journals. I am now being told that I lack credible resources and am again marked down. It is so bizarre! Most of the professors copy and paste their comments, and I doubt they really take the time to read your papers. The other problem that I have is that there is far too much reading and assignments. I know that I would be dedicating a certain period of time to my studies, so please don't misinterpret my statement. I know and understand that earning my masters will take work. But, I work full-time (sometimes more than FT), am married, and have 3 children. I literally have to cram most of my readings and assignments Fri-Sun. Some courses you are expected to read 3-4 chapters within 2-3 days, complete a discussion (respond to 2 classmates post), and complete an essay EVERY weekend, but for the 8th week you need a capstone project which consists of 7-12 pages, and sometimes more! I find myself not even learning but rather rushing through essays for a grade, because I do NOT have the time to read the chapters! I have been so stressed out I am really considering transferring to another school. I think that this school is totally doable for someone working either part time or full-time with no more than 1 child. The requirements are unrealistic for the 8 week period. In fact, I shared my experience with friends who are enrolled in MBA programs at SDSU and PLNU in San Diego (brick and mortar), and they are shocked at everything I am doing! They told me that they do less than half of what I am doing. **Update** I transferred to Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. I am receiving a better education, more added value, and better support. read more

So far CSU Global has been an outstanding place to earn a Masters degree in education. However, if you are put into Dr. Gastrid Harrigan's class beware. You will not get any feedback, he will not answer emails or phone calls. It doesn't matter if you are struggling or not, he does not respond to anything. I have taken 7 classes with CSU Global and this hands down was the worst thing that could've possibly happened in my educational career. I personally tried to get a hold of him multiple times and he never reached back out to me. Along with that, I had a friend and co-worker getting their degree as well and he was in the same class as me. It was the same for him too. We both had questions about the portfolio project which were extremely important to our success, and he never answered our questions. I watched my friend and co-worker send the email, and 20 minutes later Dr. Harrigan was on posting things for us to work on, but couldn't answer the questions we had. I genuinely hope that I NEVER have to take another class with him again. read more

The program seemed okay--a Master in Leadership. It was highly research-based, though: it seemed disproportionate for a Master's program. I decided it wasn't right for me and sought to withdraw in the second week. From there, it has been a total fiasco. The counselor said I could have no refund. I pushed back, then they said they'd review the decision. After email upon email from me, the finally said they'd reversed the decision and that they would provide a refund. It's been over a month since then. No refund. Despite several follow up emails from me, they keep shining me on telling me that the refund should be coming "soon." I ask when and they say "soon." They rushed me to enroll and never explained the refund policy. They resisted providing a refund and have stonewalled ever since then. Even if you believe the program is good, I would stay far away from this program. Any program run like this can't have much respect for its students and obviously they don't intend to provide any level of service. Who knows what more I'll have to go through and how much longer it'll take. Honestly, I think they don't intend to refund me, even though they've acknowledged I'm entitled to a refund. I think if they just keep stringing along, I'll finally give up. I guess next to the Better Business Bureau, and I may ultimately have to sue them. Is this any way to run an academic institution? read more

Classes are extremely generic and boring, also the class I took we had to write a formal paper every week. There's no mercy in the finance department, there was a glitch with the tuition reimbursement with my employer and without attempting to contact me they mail me a notice stating I've been turned over to a collection agency. These people are unethical, unprofessional, unhelpful. I would not recommend using csu global. read more

If you are a full-time parent and work a full-time job, there is no way you have the time for what is expected. How is one to turn in 3-4 papers a week and do other assignments. I lasted a couple of weeks and ended up withdrawing. It took all my time away and I was unable to sleep. I have enrolled in a college that has actual classes that I can attend 2 times a week at night. Very disappointed. read more

I am currently enrolled at CSU-Global Campus and I rather enjoy being able to say I am finally earning my degree. Although it is an online school, it us still considered part of the Colorado State University system. It's not like many other online schools where you fill out an application and BAM! you're accepted. Previously applying to CSU in Fort Collins, I was denied acceptance due to my credits. So I stayed at my community college and earned a few more. When I applied for CSU Global, the requirements were similar to what I saw at CSU FoCo. I was put on a sort of administrative trial period, where I could not become a full time student until I earned a certain GPA and proved that I could handle the online schooling. Here's where I must warn you all: just because it is online DOES NOT mean it is easier. All of these people in my classes that say they have three or more children, work full time, and are still going to school blow my mind and I don't know how they do it. I work part time, have no children, and I still find myself becoming stressed at times. Be prepared to read A LOT. In an average class, I probably read 10-12 hours of material a week: 1 hour long lecture, 1-2 hours of reading through academic journals, and, if there is a textbook, reading 2-3 chapters out of that book at a time. This is including the discussion boards, 4 page papers due every week, and intermittent work on the final 10 page paper that's due at the end of the term. If you are truly committed to the time and work CSU-Global demands for courses, I recommend it wholeheartedly. read more

Usually I don't post reviews, but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews for CSU Global so as a recent graduate I wanted to chime in. I work full-time and am a new father so I'm not exactly swimming in free time, CSU Global offered a program to finish my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management in an online setting. I started at the traditional universities as most people do but having to physically go to a class after or before work then taking homework home was more of a hassle than it was worth. Most of my previous work transferred to CSU Global, and those that did not there was a clear explanation why. I like the accelerated format (most 3 credit hour classes are 8 weeks, 1 credit hour is 4), and I like the assignments. It's not about memorizing stuff that's on a test like a traditional class, the assignments allow the student to develop their critical thinking skills and to think for themselves. That's why there are a lot of discussion posts and papers - there are also weekly quizzes that are relatively easy and can be taken multiple times. True, some of the assignments can be a bit vague but the professors allow you the flexibility to do with the assignment how you interpret it as long as it falls within certain length and content guidelines - hence the critical thinking. Also, clear expectations are established early in every class, and while glitches can happen it's not the norm - you just need to make sure you read the material and know what to do, otherwise you'll be dropped from the class. Everything I submitted was accounted for and graded properly. In addition, I like that every professor I had is a PhD, that wasn't the case as the other universities I attended. People have stated that they don't learn anything with these types of assignments, I respectfully disagree. I learned a lot and while it wasn't about memorizing information, the lessons provided a more practical real-world value that someone can use right away. Honestly, I've been finished with my program for less than a month and it's already helped me in my career. I don't really understand those that think this program is fake or not accredited because it's online - it's still under the Colorado State University umbrella but of course it's going to have a different logo and feel because it's considered a different campus. Online schools aren't really a new thing anymore, so it says more about employers than the school itself when people don't accept these degrees as valid. I can't speak to the Master's program, but I think for someone looking to finish their Bachelor's degree you definitely get what you pay for at CSU Global. It's quite nice just being able to come home from work and you're already in your classroom. My classroom has also followed me on vacation to other states and countries on occasion. Some have said that a normal expectation is 5-10 hours of coursework per week, I think that's on the low end - a more reasonable expectation would be 10-25 hours per week - though given seven days that's still not a huge time commitment per class. Overall, I liked the program, and the people I came across at CSU Global. It worked out well for what I wanted to use it for. I realize everyone is different, so I would caution someone to do their own research before they start putting too much faith in these one or two star surveys. Please respond if you have questions, I'll be happy to answer them. read more

I thought I would give this college one more chance. Previously enrolled with CSU Global Campus in 2014 and had some issues with the Instructor, not clarifying the expectations and assisting with the course. Also, there were a number of issues around turn over for the counselors that I was assigned to. This time around, I thought I would be open minded, and realize that this in an online school. The first month was satisfactory and the counselor was helpful. The instructor or Organizational Behavior was unresponsive, didn't utilize any tools to assist with communication to the class room. The second instructor for FIN500 didn't assist with concerns around Critical Thinking questions. Also, the paper assignments were hard to find and the instructor didn't seem to care about any critiques or assisting with questions around the Critical Thinking papers. Overall, my experience is that if you are ok with just a grade, and little to no interaction with your instructors, then this is the school for you. The overall feeling about this school, is that they are in it for the Money and not teaching or educating students. I do not recommend this school. Seek a better school! read more

Do NOT enroll in this school if you need financial aid to pay for any of it. I was told that I would get financial aid and then the day of disbursement they sent me a note saying they didn't have all the verification. The day of disbursement is two weeks into the trimester and is too late to withdraw from the class since they are short 8 week trimesters. It is now week 8 and I have not received any financial despite them having all the qualified paper work two weeks ago. My trimester ends in two weeks. I was suppose to get my aid exactly a month ago. I planned on getting a computer with my financial aid and have not been able to complete my power point assignments because I can not afford a new computer (especially bc of Covid). No one will help you get your aid and they will keep telling you you will get it and you will not. The US of Department of Education websites reads that I have been given this aid and am paying interest on these loans I have not received. I told my admissions counselor that I will not go back to school unless I was 100% sure I was getting aid. The financial aid office said they had all the requirements had me sign the master promissory note and even the school website portal states I have received this aid and I have not. I would have never enrolled in school if I knew they would tell me I am getting them and then the day of disbursement tell me I didn't have everything when it was already too late to withdraw. DO NOT ENROLL IN THIS SCHOOL. THEY embezzle your loans and do not care about your success! Everything they have done with my aid is unethical and should not be legal. They should be held responsible for the inconvenience and upheaval they cause to their students by pretending they will give their students money and then take it for themselves. This has got to be embezzlement. read more

I recommend this program for those who already have work experience but are missing the degree. For me I had worked in the tech industry for almost 20 years but didn't have the bachelors degree. I had taken college courses but was short by about one year, so it made sense for me to go back and finish. The degree allowed me to move up within my company and attain certain certifications that require a bachelors plus work experience. I found that most courses (not all) here were engaging and relevant for my field. It definitely opened up more doors for me! read more

If you enroll with CSU Global, be sure to get any and all information provided in writing. Staff members are unaware of course content, unable to give good advice on course progression, seem unfamiliar with their own institutional policies, and generally come of as disinterested in the students they are paid to help. These issues lead to major problems with misinformation that this "university" takes no accountability in rectifying. This can lead to an expensive errors due to their poor communication style. Should you decide to take coursework here, I'd recommend sending an email summary of any phone conversations to confirm understanding, but more importantly to have a paper trail to refer back to if you have problems. By in large, the individuals in this institution act more like sales people rather than educational professionals. It feels as though the staff at this organization, in working in a "virtual world," hide behind their computers vs being responsible to real people in the real world. While it may take longer to attend courses in a conventional university, having a physical campus you can visit in case you encounter problems is invaluable. read more

Yes, at first, it is a little confusing getting around the login, the website, learning how the grading system works, etc. My first Prof. was remote on the east coast and had a PHD and CPA license. If I had problems, I can contact the staff via phone or email too. I am really happy with CSU Global. Studying a Masters in Accounting. 18K for 2 years. Great price. Accredited school. Same content as if I was in Ft. Collins at the main campus. And has Erica D. said in a previous review - not 1 potential employer discounted my degree online. read more

So I wanted to add an update to my last review...as I mentioned as part of life, I was sure to encounter a teacher I didn't care for...and I have in my second class. The bottom line is he (the professor) is an absolute jerk-such a stark difference than my first prof. One line of feedback to me was this, "you'll make my day if you actually read my comments and apply them to future assignments." Wow! How passive aggressive and lame is that? He tore one of my papers apart, but I still got a 97%. I'm not alone in his condescending feedback as he leaves comments on everyone's discussion posts that are public. He reminds everyone (as if we don't know) "remember, this is graduate level work..." He told me that it was ok to use an APA citation for literally every sentence in a graduate research paper. In my most recent paper I wrote that "if a consumer has a bad experience, they may choose to take their business elsewhere." This statement to me is pretty much "common knowledge" as we are all in the role of a consumer...yet he asked me if I had a citation for that statement to back it up?!? Ummmm....ok. I've thought about emailing him to address some of my concerns and ask some questions but I'm sure he'd just talk in circles and give me the run around. I just want this class to hurry up and get over! Hopefully my next experience will be better! read more

If I could give this school 0 stars, I absolutely would. My husband took two classes here last semester. After submitting his tuition assistance, his financial advisor, told him that if his tuition assistance was not approved and processed then his classes would be dropped. After a while of not hearing from his financial advisor, my husband decided to call him and ask if his tuition assistance was good to go. His financial advisor then told him that his tuition assistance was accepted and that he was good to take his classes. A long while later, my husband received a call from his financial advisor saying that he would have to pay the $3,000 for the two classes because his tuition assistance wasn't accepted. WHAT? Please explain to me how that happens AFTER his financial advisor told him it was accepted and he was good to go. Now, we are not only being billed for the two classes, but an extra $1000 from collections. My husband called another financial advisor at the school, who was very rude, and was told that there was nothing that could be done and she suggested that he either make a payment plan with collections or tap into his GI Bill. Basically, we are paying all this money for a mistake made by a financial advisor at this school. I am disgusted with how the school dealt with our situation. This school has completely ruined our view of online schools. I was planning on transferring to this school next fall and was very excited about it but I have decided that would be a terrible idea. I will say, the classes my husband did take the semester prior were good and my husband enjoyed them. However, our overall experience with the financial aid advisors was a complete disaster. read more

I am enrolled my third master's class at CSU and am very happy so far. The professors always respond quickly to calls and emails (even at 11:00pm west coast time!) and the way the classes are designed allows me to choose when I complete assignments, which is helpful with my work schedule. I disagree with the negative comments about "online schools" because I accepted a very good job based on the fact I was enrolled in a master's program. They didn't care that it was online because I am still learning and becoming more knowledgeable to benefit their company! If you work full time and still want a degree I highly recommend CSU. You will have debt (unless you're lucky!), you may run into some negativity but think about it like this: You are getting a degree and opening yourself up to SO many opportunities! Suck it up and do it for yourself. read more

CSU Global was a great option for me to earn my BS. Great way to get your education while working and when you need flexibility

I'm an my 3rd trimester at CSU and the school is ideal for me. Yes, this program is for determined, experienced working adults. I would not recommend this school for young kids looking to get a degree after high school, or even adults who are making a career change. In my opinion, this a perfect school for working adults trying to excel their career. Yes, I've seen good and not so good teachers, just like in any schools. However, I rarely interact with them, and so far, they have been reasonably responsive. read more

Bad Bad Bad!!! If this review discourages one person then I have done a great thing in life. So I started the whole process of CSU global and got to the financial part and stopped(THANK GOD). First off since I was prior military I had to go through a whole lot of (proving that I was worthy BS) to go to CSU global which meant I had to do essays and get reviewed through 2 admissions boards. My sarcastic and arrogant Enrollment counselor was always to busy. In fact she seemed very disorganized and disconnected. I called a few times for a in dept step by step process of the circus called CSU-Global and..........of course nobody knew what the hell was going on. I guess they were under the impression that you should already know how to do this. So God forbid if you ask for help. Jerome the guy that processes the financial part of my file was always to busy to talk to me when I called him about 4 times. In fact one time that I called he was busy typing away on his keyboard(I could hear it btw) and gave the delayed "uh-huh" answer to all my questions. Love the condescending email that they left me too. Better schools out there guys. read more

The school overall is okay at best. I completed my Master of Science in Management May 2014 and it has not really helped to advance my career overall. The curriculum was a little weak and somewhat easy for master's level courses. I also do no like the fact CSU Global does not have the same recognition as CSU in Fort Collins. The logos and diplomas are different in design and color. I was told by my advisor there would be no difference on the diploma and that was not the case. The alumni for CSU Global is fairly small and career development is non-existent. They also recently introduced the "Awards and Recognition" portion for the degree programs. I was only given one of them because I graduate before they were introduced. I was told I needed to take other classes. When I asked my previous advisor if I could grandfather in and receive it because I finished prior, I did not receive a response after several emails. Overall, I would take courses elsewhere as college is very expensive and timely. Invest wisely in yourself and money. read more

I am so glad I chose CSU-Global Campus. I researched my major, and the top schools in the market with online-access, and CSU-Global Campus was near the top. They were also one of the least expensive. Plus there was the additional added emotional bonus of attending a Colorado school when my husband graduated from CSU Boulder. I have had minimal setbacks or challenges, especially compared to Art Institute, and I actually feel like the staff and professors care about me, rather than my money. I am halfway done with my BS in Marketing, and I am learning so many interesting facts every week due to the critical thinking and independent research required for the weekly discussions, as well as the weekly critical thinking assignments. What's great, is if you plan your 8-week semester ahead a bit, you can guide your interesting research so that it culminates into your final project. I find when I care personally about the research, focus is not an issue. Overall I'm really enjoying myself, and I am really seeing the value for my money, and time. I can't wait to enter the professional workforce with my new skills. read more

Just awful. I was enrolled in the MS in Organizational Leadership program. The professors were disengaged and did not actually seem knowledgeable. Despite boasting about its flexibility, the way the schedule is set up is not actually very conducive to a professional working schedule. CSU Global's classes are 8 weeks long, but students cannot overlap classes or take 2 at once. Taking time off between classes requires extra forms be submitted. 16 week courses would work much better. The online interface for courses was clunky and often buggy. I quit after 2 and a half semesters. Don't make the same mistake I made. Instead, pick a different school. read more

I really wish there was an option for zero stars. I should have known better when I registered and how the CSU Global registration team hounded me like they were from a technical school. I had assumed that because this was an accredited school that I'd be fine. First of all I only selected CSU-Global because of the tuition. However I soon found out that I couldn't use COF and I had to take more financial aid than needed. The classes and instructors are a joke. I'm consistently told that I need to "learn" how to write at a "college level" yet like what other reviewers mention the instructors misspells things. If I made it this far and am taking graduate courses wouldn't you think I know how to write at a "college level?" The whole institution treats you like you're a freshman entering for the first time and like you have NO IDEA how to work a computer. This entire system just disgust me! read more

Horrible school! Currently enrolled and wish I picked another school, teachers are rude. They do not teach anything! You are on your own when you attend here. The class I have now consist of writing a 5 page essay every week plus other assignments, this is what the school consist of, ALL WRITING, if you are not good at writing on your first day of class, you will fail! Not trying to scare anybody but it is true, and the worst part the teachers don't show you how to write, they just expect you to learn on your own! PLEASE do not go to this school! read more

The entire school is a scam. The professors have at least two other jobs, so they don't care; they don't have time to care. They have no ability to create or modify the content, and students are lucky if the teachers even know the content. Further, the course content typically differs from the course description. The course descriptions sound awesome and super relevant to most jobs, but the actual content? Nope. Got 100 percent in all my classes, but I am still not prepared for the actual work because the courses are designed to be passed easily so that CSU Global can keep raking in the money. Some of the classes are unnecessary and irrelevant, but you still have to pay for them because you don't get the certificate or degree otherwise. The advising staff cares less than the professors do, which is saying something. The school has so many platform changes that have caused so many problems, but at no point does the school say, "Hey, we see that this is a problem. Sorry about that. We're fixing it." Instead, they just let their students flounder around and get frustrated. read more

As a single mother who works full time, going to school on campus is simply out of the question for me. So an online state university was the perfect option for me! I was extremely excited to get started with CSU-Global. That was until they completely were incompetent with dispersing financial aid funds. I have only gone one term and am planning to cancel my enrollment. I was given a financial aid award letter in which I panned my budget and finances for the school year. Based on the dates I took some time off work to spend with my children before school started. I was scheduled for a disbursement November 9th, 2013. Today, November 13th, I was informed that the dates they put on my award letter were wrong and they don't know why it was set up that way. I have been put in such an enormous financial bind due to their mistake that I am trying to figure out how to pay simple bills such as rent. This school is not new enough to be making these types of mistakes. I would highly recommend going to another school unless you are well off enough to not need additional funds for schooling. read more

I'm a retired Marine Corps Officer and currently a contractor in Afghanistan. I've used part of my Post 9/11 GI Bill in the past, for a certificate program, and had no problems whatsoever. I decided to do the same with CSU-Global, to acquire a Certificate in Emergency Management. After contacting the school, and jumping through all of their hoops in a timely manner, I was unceremoniously told that I couldn't be enrolled. Supposedly, CSU-Global doesn't allow GI Bill to be used for certificate programs. Funny, Texas A&M did for me last year. Anyhow, thanks Brittney Toth (Enrollment Counselor) for wasting my time. I have so much of it to spare out here, being jerked around by your institution. read more

Colorado State University - Global Campus has changed my life! The admissions process was straight forward and the admissions advisor made sure I was the right fit for their program. No hassles or complaints about the enrollment process. Quite a few credits were transferred from my associates degree that I had earned the year before at a different university. I finished the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology within a year and a half! The overall learning structure is pretty straight forward as you have weekly essays that are due by the end of the week, as well as discussions to participate in, mastery exercises and weekly readings. I was working full-time and attending CSU Global full-time and had to focus after working hours to ensure that I was keeping up with the course work. You have to be sure that you will have the self-discipline to do course-work instead of visiting with friends or family. Overall, I would definitely recommend CSU Global! After I graduated, I moved to London with my spouse and got the opportunity of a lifetime working in IT at a network of museums in the UK! read more

I did a lot of research when trying to decide on what school to go to. Honestly, I was unsure about CSU-Global at first. But I am nearly done and I can say that overall, I have had nothing but a great experience. Not all of the teachers are as good as others (but you get that everywhere). Out of all of the professors I have had so far, I can't say that any of them have been TERRIBLE though. My advisor has been extremely helpful with everything I have asked for. As a veteran, I had a bit more in the process to go through and it was nice to see that they took so many credits from previous schools as well as considered my veteran status for credits. I have had issues with teachers not emailing back and as soon as I email my advisor, I get an email response back within 24 hrs from the teacher. My only suggestion is that for all classes, the online instruction needs to be updated more often. I have had a few classes where things are out of date by a few years or links no longer work. That right there is my only reason for not giving 5 stars. read more
