I overheard about personal life of hers and her coworkers', eg Sunday BBQ, divorce, house deed transfer, someone becoming a nurse and then switched into real estate, etc. Gossip was hot that she forgot I was on the line. Im currently enrolled in the MA in counseling (MAC) program. I started in 2022. I have noticed a decline in this program every year. Administration has become less focused on the student experience and there seems to be internal discord in the dept. They have gotten rid of their depth psychology certificate program and have fired some full time professors and hired more adjuncts. They now have forbid the use of student technology in the classroom (e.g. no student laptops, tablets, or phones allowed) with no student input, citing cherry picked studies to support this. They also do not offer much support for students when it comes to finding practicum & internship placements. I would seriously recommend looking at other programs, as this one seems to be in decline, especially for the cost. read more

I had surgery on my ankle a week ago and am non weight bearing for 4 weeks, came here for my son's baseball game and had to hop down the stairs on one leg because they wouldn't open the gate for the wheelchair ramp. unbelievable. read more

I started my application to Regis back in October of 2023 to start Spring 2024. I am currently an RN and was wanting to go for the RN-BSN online courses. I submitted my application and transcripts on 11/20/23 and still no word. I called several times to find out the status so I could be prepared for spring semester and never got a return call until today, 1/5/24. Now I'm told it is still in review!!!! So now if accepted classes wont start until 8/2024. I never should have wasted my time waiting for them to drop the ball. Thanks Regis! Doesn't evoke any confidence that this school has their stuff together. What a waste of my time. I could have applied to another school and pretty sure I would have started this spring, now I have to start all over with other schools, so still a forced delay. This university is affordable, but you get what you pay for. There is no engagement from the university in the student body. This includes all faculty. In the seven classes I've already taken, none of the professors have been proactive with teaching. All online courses are just online programs the university allows you access to. None of the professors set up the material and none of them have been engaged in if the students are learning and/or if they need help. I feel I am completely on my own. Would not recommend this university to someone who is starting college after high school. It is only optimal for people who are returning to school and still choosing to work and do not expect any engagement from their teachers. read more

(NOTE: I am not, nor have i ever been a student of Regis; this review is based on my experience hosting or attending events on campus) I've had a couple of meetings there for my nonprofit and it's been amazing. The facilities were nice and the staff was helpful in coordinating logistics. Parking was a bit of a headache, mainly because I paid online (on my phone) via the Parkmobile app but still got a ticket from an officer that said I hadn't paid. I have a receipt and everything so perhaps it's a glitch in their system. read more

I completed a graduate degree here as well as my doctorate at a public university. The faculty at Regis were attentive and timely. They held high expectations which I appreciated. The campus is lovely and the library staff are very accommodating, e.g. helping obtain articles and resources. That said, I had a significant scholarship which made the program affordable. I was enrolled full-time and worked 32 hours a week. It was a rigorous time in my life however the faculty (for the most part) helped inspire me and treated me like a mattered (not that I was just a number). read more

I wish I could recommend this university but the education recently has been subpar. At one time I could completely recommend the school but I think with it becoming more like a university of phoenix kind of campus but at least three times more expensive it's lost its charm its integrity and more importantly The ability to educate. I've been disappointed in the administration and the teachers and honestly their mission does not represent their actions. Please for your own good look into other schools. It's been 13 years and they STILL have 2 of the biggest bullies on their staff! JoLynn Reynolds was a dean and would bully students into failing so she could get more money out of us! Betsy Hall was her enabler. After graduating, my degree was pretty useless because it's know that Regis isn't a high quality school for their Masters in Counseling. I prefer schools that support their students. Honestly, this was the worst school I ever attended. I sent my daughter to Regis because they promised internships which would lead to jobs. My daughter felt lost the entire time she was at this school. The counselors do not help the students navigate class choices, on campus jobs, off campus internships, etc. Save your money and go to a university that actually helps your student. read more

Terrible. Just awful policies and even worst customer service. This "institute of higher education" is exactly what's wrong with our country. They only care about advancing their own ideas and following the all mighty US Dollar. What's worse - they'll even tell you this is what they are doing. Good luck to anybody that needs a transcript. Be prepared to shell out money over and over and over and over again. Although, how are you supposed to push your values on others if you don't charge people involuntarily? Seems like a good business plan - too bad it screws over students. I'll stick to the public universities where real people go. Make no mistake, there are great people who teach here, and attend school here. But employees I have been in contact with think it's best to try and belittle my intelligence and talk down to me. I was recently asked about Regis and here is what I wrote: Thank you for your question. I wanted to let you know that Regis was great for me. The big draws over CU and DU were price, ease of schedule and values. There were a lot of great professors who made it well worth it. I think it was a fantastic career move for me as it has really given me the opportunity to interview for higher profile jobs. Since Graduating in 2012, I have had three new jobs - each with increasing responsibility and pay. The degree definitely helped in getting the interviews; however, the education at Regis prepared me specifically for selling myself and my skillsets, succeeding in a work environment and leading others. The education there is more life skills based than book and knowledge skills. Some classes will challenge you on both ends tremendously. There were times where 20-40 hours of school work was normal, but they were short class intervals of 8 weeks. I made sure to schedule the tough ones after a break. I competed in finance competitions against DU and CU and found that Regis students excelled in presentations, and how they carry themselves while the students at DU and CU excelled more in analysis of problems. I was surprised on how poorly DU students actually lacked interaction and presentation skills - those are so important in today's working world. If you are a working professional who is looking to enhance your career and make that next step, I would highly recommend Regis. During my time at Regis, I felt it was important to also stand out academically, so obtaining a high GPA was a priority, although it is not something people necessarily look at. I did because Regis does give honors designations and has an honor society called Alpha Sigma Nu (only the top 1% at any Jesuit University). To stand out from my peers, I made sure to work hard towards the honor society which was based on community work (I did over 100 hours during my time at Regis) in addition to high academic performance and self reflection. It taught me so much and looked great on a resume. Entry is not guaranteed! I also recommend that you know what your end goal is. I studied with others who felt they did not get anything out of the degree because they were expecting to land a high paying job outside of their field of expertise without much work. I stayed within my field and have improved the way I market myself and my skills to land those jobs, including paid speaking engagements. There is no straight answer on what you get out of any MBA program, just make sure you know what you want. My degree from Regis has ultimately shaped me into the person I am professionally and personally today. read more

After having been around this place for nearly thirteen years (for my traditional undergrad degree and my CPS graduate degree as well as with having worked here for the past 6 years), I would give it this rating. There are plenty of excellent faculty and staff here and good curriculum, but it still isn't without its flaws. Another factor in the one less star is the cost-prohibitive price/cost. If one can't afford it, I would recommend other places in order not to incur high levels of debt for an education. My motto is to try to get the best education without it being too heavy on the pocketbook. If you find good financial aid (scholarships, grants, and/or tuition assistance) to attend Regis, go for it. Even look to transfer in the most credit before transferring in so that you can pay the least amount should you desire to get your Bachelor's here. I know a lot of the adult-program (CPS) advisors will give this particular advice, so that is a plus. The CPS advisors try their best to optimize the student's finances should the student desire to have their education come from this Jesuit institution. My three cents. I had a very bad experience I was enrolled in their health care and I had financial aid but then there was an issue so I sent them everything that they had requested then they decided to take the aid away and wanted me to pay out of packet for all of my class and wait a year to appeal their decision now they want me to 2,240.00 which I do not have please if you are thinking of going to this school do not it is a big joke read more

The administration at this school is absolutely horrible. All of the "guarantees" they give you when you start school, such as the 4 year tuition guarantee, or getting a degree in 4 years is absolute bull crap. They will pin another semester (or year) on you in order to get more money out of you, and say its because your career choice is "extremely" difficult. (Note: this is a review of Regis University's graduate program). The building and the faculty are nice but don't judge a book (or university) by its cover. Once you get into the technical classes that require students to use Remote Console Virtual Machines which simulate actual virtual machines such as Linux or Security Onion, students and buyers beware. If you are pursuing a Master's in Computer Science of any kinds, I highly recommend that you look somewhere else. I went through Regis University's MSIA program which was later renamed to Information and Cyber Security and the technology and Remote Console Virtual Machines that are required for students to use never worked for me and other students in my classes. This is true both for Regis University's online and in-person classes from my experience as a graduate student. I wrote an appeal for each class which delayed my graduation date. If I'm paying more than $2,000 for a class plus a $75 technology fee to use the university's virtual machines, I expect everything to work. If you go here, you should expect nothing less either as a student. In addition, Regis University does not help its students find internships or jobs once they are nearing graduation. That contrasts with the university where I received my undergraduate degree which is also in the Denver Metro Area which helped its students find internships and jobs. If you are looking to go somewhere where everything on the surface is nice this is place for you; but if you want to actually learn, graduate with a degree in a technical field, and have a university that will use its connections to help you land your first job in the new field which you studied and paid for I highly recommend that you look somewhere else. I also recommend looking into modern online alternatives for the field you want to get into rather than going through a traditional university, public or private. I would also like to note that it has been more than six months and I still have not received my diploma from Regis University. read more

Worst school ever!! I would not recommend them to anyone. I entered a masters program based on the propaganda they spout regarding them supporting people who work full-time and who are trying completing a degree. It's complete b.s.; a complete lie. Once you're in the program THEN they tell you the time requirement is 40+ hours a week in order to be even moderately successful. I graduated with my bachelors with a 3.84 GPA, magna cum laude. I'm not remotely unintelligent. I had a horrid experience, of which I'm still dealing with the consequences of, years later, from the financial aid through the counselors. Don't waste your money. Dorms have bad conditions with no hot water or drinking water available near rooms in many cases. Professors don't teach but read off of google slides or powerpoint and if not just send a prerecorded video lecture. I graduated from Regis University. The teachers were excellent, and the experience changed my life. I am very proud to say that I have a degree from a school that excels in education, as well as being a big part of the community, and stresses being active in the community to the students. There's a lot to take in the mind when considering Regis University. Though in the interest of everyone's time I'll point out their primary issues. Third ministration does not view the student body. So in essence they don't really know, or have a very good idea over what's happening on campus. The location is good and the campus is nice, and I had relatively no issues with the services on campus. There is also a major lack in a sense of community, so Regis often feels empty. The planning committee needs to create more events in the average college to make up for the smaller class sizes. The students that are on campus mostly keep to themselves, or their primary group of friends. The administration has also hindered me from continuing my educational path, as with financial charges and issues with class accreditation. Taking these issues up with the staff will not result in success, In essence if you gonna have to figure it out yourself.. read more

Regis has been a big part of my life since 2002 when I came on my recruiting trip. I attended Regis as a traditional student, playing Softball on an athletic scholarship. For the most part I did enjoy my time and I even met my husband there. However, there were some surprises along the way that put a bitter taste in my mouth. I found for the most part that the statue in the center of their quad (Jesus) was not the center of their values. While they have many options for faith based experiences I felt the academic side did not parallel well with the beliefs of the school. I became bitter and frustrated by my senior year. I hung in there not wanting to transfer. The summer I got married and my husband began working at Regis. I was still bitter but I felt I needed to support my husband. After two years he encouraged me to go back to school. Since I had not really wanted to, and with previous expectations I had a bad attitude and didn't think I would enjoy myself. I was now an adult and was going back as an adult learner on their College for Professional Studies. I would have to say that I was taken by surprise and I had a great time. I loved their adult program. It was night and day different and I would recommend this program above there traditional college. Now it has been a long time and maybe things are different but in my experience the adult program was wonderful paralleling the values of the school much more efficiently than the college. read more

Regis University is making me pay $2,000 for a class that I did not take. I had started appling for grad school and got in to Regis even though my application was not complete and then they signed me up for a class. As a potential grad student I had been doing a lot of research, trying to find out what I wanted to do and it turns out I found the program that will be the perfect fit for me at a school in Boston, so that is where I am going. I have worked in non-profit for six years (read: I am poor) and will be taking out loans to pay my way through grad school in Boston. Weeks after the Regis class that I was signed up for ended, I got a call indicating that I owed $2,000 and there was a grade of F on my transcript. WHAT? I never stepped foot on the campus!! They said they sent emails to my student email account but I didn't even know how to access my email! I would NOT recommend Regis University. They accepted me before I finished my application and are demanding payment for services that were not given, they only care about the money. read more

Check these reviews out these are purely for marketing. Regis is notorious for providing professors who simply take their sweet time grading work. I once complained in the forum about the lack of ethics and they effectively removed me from the course. Below is what was said. I can tell you when I hire a consultant for 2400 bucks I expect timely work and when a professor is nearly 2 months behind on grading this is not timely. Most students are afraid to complain and they should be at Regis because they will remove you. Just do you research I made a mistake going to Regis I suggest going to Adams State for an MBA and save some money. Your advisor has, no doubt, advised you of your choices. Rather than dropping the class or withdrawing when the problem first arose, you chose to remain enrolled. Your complaints, however, suggest that you have not accepted responsibility for that decision, or for your performance in the course, but instead made unsupported accusations regarding the instructor and Regis University in the discussion forum, effectively laying blame on others. There is a procedure for requesting an Administrative Drop from a class, which, if approved by the Registrar's Office for legitimate reasons, would result you being dropped from the class as if you had dropped prior to its start, with no grade assigned and no tuition charged. If your inability to access the internet, reply to messages, or otherwise participate in the class was due to unexpected job travel, or other verifiable circumstances, you may request an Administrative Drop. Otherwise, you will be unable to complete this class and will receive a failing grade. Whether an Administrative Drop is approved or not, this class will be offered online again in Spring 8 week 1 of 2011. You may enroll in it for that session. You may request an Administrative Drop by responding to this e-mail and confirming that this is what you wish to do. In your response, provide details as to the nature of the problem you have had in accessing the course, viewing assignments, and the situation that caused the difficulty in this course that had not occurred in previous courses. This offer of a possible Administrative Drop is offered as a courtesy one time only, which assumes you have not previously been granted such a drop. I have been a member of Regis's online school and am very upset with this school. I would never recommend this university to anyone. First, it is expensive given the programs offered. There is very little, if any support for students. Academic advisers do not respond to emails or telephone calls. Outside of the academic advisers, there is no other support for students. Academic advisers are either too busy doing other things or will support the school and staff and not the students. As a student, if you have a problem, you won't find any empathy, sympathy here. This school could care less about its online students. One of my online instructors didn't grade assignments for weeks. There was very little communication with him. He would not respond for days to emails or requests for information. Two other instructors did not fully post assignment details, which means that by reading the syllabus, it is impossible to figure out what to do. Evidently Regis is ok with this action. All my collegiate life, I have been told that the syllabus is a binding contract between the school and the student. When the contract cannot be fulfilled as written, when there is no meeting of the minds, that should make the contract null and void. When I have attempted to reach out to personnel at Regis about a lack of execution of the contract, they instead point the finger at me and blame me. When I have contacted instructors about more details, I get riddles instead of direction. How hard is it to write read chapter 2 and post a worded discussion? If these instructors are taken from the workplace, it's no wonder that customer service no longer exists. I would expect with their careers and degrees, the instructors would have perfected their communication skills, but I am wrong. How can someone with a Doctorate not know and understand how to ask for something? I have had some good teachers online and I have had some horrible teachers. Currently the percentage is about 50/50. The lack of support for the student is probably the most undesirable trait of this school. On campus they may be better at supporting students, but if you are looking at the online program, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere. Online students are largely ignored by staff. read more

All right, I graduated from Regis last Summer with MS in Software Engineering. I had mixed experience from instructors, some where really helpful, where as some where just jerks.(that includes the CHAIR of Software Engineering Dept also, I didnt took any class taught by him, but he came to teach one session since the facilitator for that class was out of town that week. i felt like this guy (chair) was a total jerk that all he cared was about boasting about his PHD in Mathematics. he told that like 25 times during the 4 hour class session that he has a PHD in mathematics).He even said that he is smarter than the rest of the people in the class since he had a PHD. that might be right, does that mean he has to boast about it in front of poor students. unfortunately he was the head of my dept and I had to deal with this jerk during my academic year. He was not really that helpful when it comes to giving advice or suggestions either. Also as another reviewer said, the books were just a joke, they recommended some books and in some cases we don't even open them during the entire 8 week class period. may be they get commission on the sale from the author.
