Like another reviewer. I also had a big bruise. The lady asked me if it hurt when she put the…read moreneedle in and I said yes and she walked away. The alarm sounded on my machine and she came over, hit a button and walked away. Alarm sounded again on my machine and next thing I knew a piece of paper with the words "hematoma" was dropped in my lap. I've donated plasma lots of times before successfully and this was the first time that this happened. I wanted to leave and the senior phlebotomist told me I had to get my red blood cells back. So I endured another needle stick in the other arm. Fortunately the senior phlebotomist stuck me and I felt no pain(like many times before). the stick was smooth and after that she asked me if I still wanted to leave. With no pain in the second arm, I stuck it through and finished. When I finished, another person came over and unattached me and placed gauze over the second site. After the shortest time possible, she lifts the 2z2 gauze and I see it is bleeding. She says "what do you want to do?" I'm thinking, what is this choice are you giving me? Are you saying, do I want to stay and wait till it stops bleeding or do I want to leave with it bleeding? Frustrated, I left. Came home (about 15 minute drive) to find my gauze was soaked in blood and bleeding through my compression gauze. I come back several days later (yes I came back!) I'm told that they won't draw because I had a 3 inch bruise. Well they called me after that to do a follow up (as per policy). Told to come back when it's smaller and starts to turn yellow. Took about a week (which is something that I didn't want since each donation in July was $100). Next time I did the screening process and they have a laminated paper "only experienced phlebotomist " which I take back and the senior phlebotomist draws me, no issues. Next time I come, no laminated paper. And the phlebotomist yells as she sticks me painfully, "I've got a pineapple!" Yeah not good. The senior phlebotomist readjusts the needle and all is fine. I've heard PINEAPPLE yelled before and it wasn't me. My husband wants to go back and I get nervous each time he asks. He's got huge veins and I have tiny ones. The money is great and shows up immediately on your card the second you leave. I keep thinking who else is going to pay for you to play on your phone. And for those reading the review, you'll have to determine for yourself if it's worth it for you. My husband wants to go back and I begrudgingly agree to follow. If the incentives drop below my pain to money ratio, I probably won't be back. Long story short: they need more "experienced" phlebotomists.

Care Quality is horrifying . The rules are insane…read more One of the questions ask did you heart problems. Mention that I had heart valve repaired 23 days ago. I was DQ after 4 hours of the process as new donor. Sad I needed for Christmas gifts I never had any issues with CSL.

I stood knocking at the front door immediately following my last donation watching employees ignore me as blood gushed down my arm from a poor stick and wrap job. The sleeve of my jacket was soaked and steering wheel had blood all over it from driving home without any care. The majority of employees are unprofessional and rude. A phlebotomist, Kelly, walked away after asking for my full name and last four mumbling something about my attitude and refused to help the phlebotomist sticking me. After watching that same phlebotomist (Kelly) and two others stand around after acknowledging that I had been standing in the front of the line to be seated and get my blood drawn. This was also after watching two other employees stand around, one on her cell phone, while standing in a line of 5 to get seated at the counter for vitals. The girl behind me was cursing the employees and how long it was taking. The only reason I've been coming here is because it's the only option within 50 miles I've found (so far) to donate plasma since moving to the area. I don't believe any of the phlebotomists have experience - I'm a nursing student working at a hospital and draw blood every shift and am basing this off my experience. I've watched multiple people get stuck a second time or refuse to get stuck a second time every time I come in. Including myself. I just watched an employee walk out during her shift. The second time I came in I finished donating before another customer but was discharged after him because he told the phlebotomist he was in a hurry. Don't expect to be out of this place in less than 2-3 hours after your first time. I've been to two other Plasma donation centers over the last 10 or so years and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone - not until they have a mass exodus of current employees. I'd still be going to CSL Plasma in Mechanicsburg if it was close enough. Right now I only wanted to come here while I get $50 for the first 5 donations, but I feel like I've given them too many chances and now I'm done.
