Biomat is the better decision IMO, respectfully ofc. This is the best one I've had the pleasure of working WITH! You get to help sick people in need, while also getting compensation for your time! An errand I used to have to just set aside an hour or so for now takes significantly longer, so I'm able to donate less often. Juliet, Tennessee) and its competent staff, who effectively transform the innately awkward and disjointed protocol involved when donating plasma into a systematized and streamlined process normally taking ~2 hrs or less to complete. Because they're indeed deserving of the praise, I'll brag on the crew a moment longer... in my experience, each and every employee has exuded a kind and polite attitude, with those I spent a longer time with (first-time appointments require a physical) exuding qualities that help manifest calm during a new or unfamiliar experience--patience, empathy, humor, compassion, understanding, etc.

Every visit since, the staff has been friendly. Every phlebotomist I've had appear to follow all the correct safety & sanitizing procedures. The beds are comfortable. They always have good music playing and decorate the plate a little based on the surrounding holiday. It's easy to relax & watch a movie, read a book, etc. to pass the time. It can get busy depending on the time of day & number of staff available. I've learned which days to avoid. Tuesday seems to be the busiest since it's their "Monday". The best time that I've found is first thing on the weekend when they open. Otherwise, you might have to wait 30-60 mins to get a bed, and then however long it takes you to complete the donation. Luckily for me, I have good veins & hydrate well, so I haven't had any complications. I don't have any other sites/companies to compare this location to, but I definitely like this facility and the staff!

I come here every two months to donate blood…read more Jamie is my go to gal- she is amazing. I have little veins that move. I don't even qualify to donate plasma, my veins are so small. No matter what I do- down a steak, chug a gallon of water, do a heavy work out before- my veins stay petite. Why the rest of my body can't stay petite like my veins idk but that's a conversation I have with the lord often. Her technique is unparalleled. She manages to relax me even though she's about to stab me, consensually. I will literally only see her. If she's not there I leave. I cannot tell you the amount of times my donation was incomplete because of my difficult veins and a bad stick got air in the bag. But it's never happened with her. She is so good. Please give her a raise. She's an icon and deserves it.

The staff also likes to let multiple people wait excessive amounts of time after they are completely finished to remove the needle from the donors arms while they discuss unimportant topics of conversation or play on their phones. Wish I didn't need the money so I wouldn't have to subject myself to the lack of care and proactivity expected of a medical facility I witnessed today.

I walked away to wait and he began taking people's ID's who were behind me in line to check them in for blood donations which he could have had me do when I was standing in front of him asking for direction. Rude is not what I expect when I take an hour of sick time from work to give blood.

American Red Cross Volunteers were offered free CPR and First Aid Classes and Certifications here…read more Excellent opportunity. Reservations were fast to make. We all got confirmation emails. The location was easy to find. The class was very informative and easy to understand. I loved using the baby and adult mannequins to practice CPR on and for using the AED machines. We had to wear masks and stay six feet apart from each other in the classroom. We were unable to practice on each other due to the Covid-19 pandemic precautions. Definitely, a class to remember!

They treat you like your a number not a person if they are willing to acknowledge you. The wait times are utterly ridiculous. a return appointment is quoted to be an hour and a half. That is a load of garbage. My wait time just to get my finger pricked was over an hour PAST my appointment time constantly.

First donation went smoothly they acknowledge that I had informed them that I have a runaway…read morevein/deep thing/roller vein. And the person stuck me no problem and was happy and told me to inform the next person that way, I couldn't have somebody who's comfortable and familiar with that. Second donation attempt told multiple times that I have rolling vein/deep vein/runaway vein. They had stuck me with the needle and re-adjusted it five or seven times going deep, pulling back out and trying it again and just giving me a huge hematoma instead of grabbing somebody that is more Experienced, the person seemed hesitant to even do it kind of paste around me for a second looking to see if somebody was around to ask for help and never did and wasn't even offered reimbursement for the pain and I have a high tolerance of pain. Was just wrapped up and given an ice pack and pulled to go home. Now in my eyes it not worth it doing it anymore
